up those operation guides more quickly.
In the later chapters of Trouble Shooting, Maintenance as
well as Reference Technical information, which we think,
you may need them just in case. Therefore, for your quick

Checking Your Box
Receivingtheboxofyourprinter, you are advised to check first for the possible shipping
damage. Therearetwoways you can do it:
1.Inspecttheouterappearancesofboththebox and the printer for possible damage.
2.Raisethe top cover of the printer to seeif the media compartmentsareinorder. If
damagesdidoccur, immediately file the claim to the shipping company for settlement.
Havingperformed the primaryinspections,nextstep,pleasecheck whether you have
receivedthefollowingaccessories togetherwith the printer. Ifthereisanyitemmissing,
contactyourlocaldealertogetit.

Power Supply
WARNING:
NEVER OPERATE THE PRINTER AND POWER SUPPLY IN AN AREA WHERE
THEY CAN GET WET.
1.ThePowerAdapterhasabarrelconnectorononeendthatmustbeinsertedintothe
powerjackonthebackoftheprinter.
2.Plugtheotherendofthe cord into an appropriate AC electrical outlet.
3.Whenpluggingthe connector into power jack, please leave the power switch at
„O“positionand don’t touch the 36 pinparallelconnector.

Loading the Ribbon
Note:Thissectionisnotapplicabletothedirectthermalprinting.
1.Liftthetopcovertoexposethemediacompartment.
2.Unlatch the print head module by pushingthetwowhiterelease levers on the sides
towardthe rear.
3.Turnover the print head moduletoexposethe ribbon supply holder.

4. Unwrap the ribbon roll pack and separate the ribbon roll and the bare core.
5. Attach the edge of the ribbon on the bare core and wind it a little bit onto the core.
6.Insert the ribbon roll intothesupplyholder. ( first snapintheleftside andthentheright
side)
7.Turnbackthe print head module and then insert the barecoreintothe pick-up holder.

8.Turnthewheelof the print headmoduleto ensure the ribbonistightly wound.
9.Press down the print head module firmly tillyouhearasnap.

Loading the Media
e2printerscanbeoperatedinthreedifferentoptions: standard,peel-off,orwithacutter.
-Standard modeallowsyoutocollecteachlabelfreely.
- In peel-off mode, the backing material is being peeled away from the label as it is
printed. Aftertheformerlabelisremoved,thenextone willbeprinted.
-In cutter mode, the printerautomaticallycutsthe label after it isprinted.
Standard Mode
1.Liftthetopcovertoexposethemediacompartment.
2.Remove the media hanger.
3.Loadthe media roll onto the hanger from the left.

4.Clickthe media hanger back to themedia compartment.
5.Movethemedia roll to the left end.
6.Movethe shield to the left next to the media.

7.Unlatch theprinthead module.
8.Holdtheprintheadmoduleuprightwithonehandto allow the media pass under it.
Leadthemediathroughthe media guides with the other hand.
9.Leadthemediaovertheplatenroller.

10.Turnbacktheprintheadmoduleandthen press it down firmly till you hear asnap.
11.Close the topcover and turn on the printer or press the feed button if theprinter is
alreadyon.

Peel Off Mode
(Installingthedispenserkit, please refer to the Appendix I)
Followthecommon procedure of „Loading the Media“of StandardMode from step 1 to
step 8.
9.Removeapproximately6"longlabelsfromthelabelbackingpaper.

10. Trim the edge of the label backing paper with scissor or knife.
11. Leadthe backingpaper over thedispenser bar,then threadit back into the slot
betweenthedispenserbarand H cover,ensuring that it is inserted between white
plasticroller and platen roller.

15.Closethetopcover and turn on the printer or press the „FEED“ button ifthe printer is
alreadyon.
Note : The„FEED“ button will not drivethe printer topeel. The peelingwork canbe
executedonly whenthesoftwaresettingis ready.
12.Press„FEED“buttonand the label backing paper will come out from the slot under the
Hcover.
13.One2Peel-Offmode,powered on status, in case of improperinstallation, just keep
pressingthe„FEED“buttontoback-feed thelabel stock to re-install it.
14.Toremove any slack, just rewind the mediaontotheroll. Pressdowntheprinthead
modulefirmly.

Cutter Mode
(Installingthe cutter,please refer toAppendix II )
Follow the same procedure as „Loading the Media“ from step 1 to step 8.
9.Threadthemediaover the platen roller,thenroutethemedia through the slot of the
cuttermodule.
10.Press down the print head module firmly.
11.Close the topcover and turn on the printer or press the„FEED“ button if the printer is
alreadyon.
Note :The„FEED“ button will not drive the printer to cut. Thecuttingworkcanbeexecuted
onlywhen the softwaresettingis ready.
