and maintenance of CAFFINI
mod. GENIUS, STANDARD
FOX, PRO FARMER
TRIPLEX/TS sprayers.
We suggest to keep the present
publication in an easy accessi-
ble place, since it allows a quick
reference in case of need or
service opreations.
We also suggest to read it care-
fully and to carry out all the
described operations before
starting up, during use and
maintence of the sprayer.
CAFFINI declines any respon-
sibility for damaged caused to
machines and persons because of the non-observa-
tion of these regulations. Instructions, drawings, ta-
bles and whatever else contained in the present hand-
book should be considered as confidential technical
information which may be neither completely nor
partially reproduced and which may be not commu-
nicated to third parties without the written authori-
zation of CAFFINI, who are the sole owners and
who reserve the right to carry out all the modifica-
tions deemed to be necessary, without any previous

GARANZIA
Il costruttore garantisce che i suoi prodotti sono
privi di difetti nel materiale e nella lavorazione per
un periodo di un anno dalla data della consegna,
in condizioni normali di uso e di manutenzione.
L’obbligo derivante da questa garanzia, è limitato
alla sostituzione e/o alla riparazione di quel parti-
colare o particolari che dopo nostra ispezione si
verificassero difettosi nel materiale o nella lavora-
zione e che non siano stati alterati in alcun modo
o che non siano stati soggetti a cattivo uso, ne-
gligenza o incidente.
Le spese per eventuali sopralluoghi, eseguiti dal-
la Ditta CAFFINI, le spese di trasporto ed imbal-
laggio delle parti da riparare o sostituire, nonchè
la manodopera per il montaggio delle medesime,
sono a carico del compratore.
Nessuna garanzia fatta da persona diversa dal
Costruttore, sarà ritenuta valida e vincolante.
Il Costruttore si riserva il diritto di apportare mo-
difiche nei suoi prodotti in qualsiasi momento sen-
za preavviso. Quando vengono effettuati tali cam-
biamenti, il Costruttore non si assumerà nessun
obbligo di effettuare queste modifiche in prodotti
fabbricati precedentemente.
All’atto della consegna, controllare che l’atomiz-
zatore non abbia subito danni durante il traspor-
to e che siano a posto gli eventuali accessori.
Gli eventuali reclami dovranno essere pre-
sentati per iscritto, entro 6 giorni.
L’acquirente potrà far valere i suoi diritti sulla
garanzia solo qualora abbia rispettato le con-
dizioni di garanzia insite nel contratto di
fornitura.
GUARANTEE
The manufacturer guarantees that his products
are free of defects in material and workmanship
for a period of one year from delivery, under
normal conditions of use and maintenance.
The liability arising from this guarantee is lim-
ited to the replacement and/or repair of that
part or those parts, which, after our inspection,
are found to be defective in material or work-
manship, provided that they were not tampered
or subjected to bad use, negligence or accident.
Any expenses for checks on site carried out by
CAFFINI, transport costs, packaging of any parts
to be repaired or replaced as well as the
manpower hours will be paid by the buyer.
Any guarantee made by persons different from
the manufacturer, will not be considered valid
and binding.
The manufacturer reserves the right to modify
his products at any time without any advance
notice. When any modifications occur, the manu-
facturer shall not be obliged to carry out such
modifications in previously manufacted products.
On delivery it is necessary to check that the
sprayer has not been damaged during the trans-
port and that it is complete with the eventual
accessories.
Eventual claims should be communicated in
writing within 6 days.
The buyer can avail himself of his guarantee
rights only if he has observed all the guar-
antee conditions contained in the sale con-
tract.

DECADIMENTO
La garanzia viene a decadere:
1) Qualora si verifichi un errore di manovra.
2) Quando, a seguito di riparazioni eseguite dal
Cliente, senza il consenso della CAFFINI o a
causa del montaggio di pezzi di ricambio non
originali, il polverizzatore dovesse subire mo-
difiche ed il danno imputabile alle stesse.
3) Qualora non ci si attenesse alle istruzioni de-
scritte nella seguente pubblicazione.
Sono escluse dalla garanzia le parti che per natu-
ra o per destinazione sono soggette a deteriora-
mento o logorio o a cattiva manutenzione.
In nessun caso comunque l'Acquirente non può
pretendere il risarcimento di danni, di qualsiasi
natura o comunque insorti.
FORFEITURE
The guarantee right is forfeited in the be-
low-mentioned cases:
1) In case of a wrong manoeuvre.
2) When, following some repairs carried out by
the Customer without CAFFINI’s approval,
or because of the installation of non-original
parts, the sprayer was subjected to modifi-
cations and the damage is imputable to these
latter.
3) If the instructions contained in this manual
are not complied with.
Any parts which are by their very nature or use sub-
ject to deterioration, wear and tear or bad mainte-
nance will not be covered by this guarantee.
The buyer will not be able to claim for damages
of any nature however they may come about.

MODALITÀ DI ORDINAZIONE
PARTI DI RICAMBIO
Per facilitare la ricerca di magazzino e la
spedizione dei pezzi di ricambio, si prega-
no vivamente i Signori Clienti di attenersi
alle seguenti norme e specificare sempre:
•Tipo (1), numero di matricola della mac-
china (2), anno di costruzione (3).
Si trovano stampigliati sulla targhetta di iden-
tificazione posta nel punto indicato in (Fig.1).
In assenza del N° di matricola, non è possibile
evadere gli ordini.
•Codice e descrizione dei pezzi di ricambio.
•Quantità dei pezzi desiderati.
•Indirizzo esatto e ragione sociale del Com-
mittente, completo con l'eventuale recapito
per la consegna della merce.
•Mezzo di spedizione desiderato (nel caso
questa voce non sia specificata, la Ditta
CAFFINI si riserva di usare a sua discrezione
il mezzo più opportuno).
HOW TO ORDER
SPARE PARTS
In order to facilitate the search for spare
parts and the despatch of we ask you please
to adhere to the following norms and specify
in all cases:
•Type (1), serial number of the machine
(2), construction year (3).
These can be found printed on the identifica-
tion plate placed on the forward side of the
mixer wagon (Fig.1). Orders cannot be proc-
essed without the serial number.
•Code and description of the spare parts.
•Quantity of the parts required.
•Exact address of company with company
name and details complete with any particu-
lars of delivery address for the goods.
•Method of delivery required (if this is not
specified CAFFINI reserves the right to use
the method it considers the most suitable.)

Prima di procedere al trattamento
vero e proprio:
•accertarsi di disporre del prodotto adatto per il tratta-
mento e che sia in quantità sufficiente;
•contrassegnare il campo e le zone di passaggio del
polverizzatore, al fine di evitare sovrapposizioni
dell’irrorazione (eccessiva o insufficiente);
• informarsi in merito alle condizioni meteorologiche ed alle
previsioni del tempo per l’intero periodo di applicazione;
•accertarsi che le condizioni delle colture o la crescita
dell’organismo bersaglio giustifichino il trattamento;
• prima di preparare la miscela da irrorare, controllare tut-
te le impostazioni e la taratura del polverizzatore, leggere
con cura le istruzioni e le raccomandazioni per l’uso dei
prodotti antiparassitari e della macchina stessa.
Si devono inoltre prendere alcune misu-
re precauzionali in merito alla miscela di
irrorazione da preparare:
• in ogni caso, quando si miscelano prodotti antipa-
rassitari, si raccomanda di controllare con il rappre-
sentante dei prodotti utilizzati che gli stessi siano fisi-
camente,chimicamentee biologicamentecompatibili;
•
il volume di miscela da irrorare in rapporto sia ai prodotti
antiparassitari impiegati, sia allo stato di crescita delle
colture che allo stato di sviluppo delle infestazioni, riferiti
all’area da trattare, in modo da preparare le quantità di
miscela esatta da irrorare.
Before proceeding with the spraying treat-
ment, it is necessary to take the following steps:
•To make sure to avail of the suitable product for the
treatment in a sufficient quantity.
• To mark the spraying surface and the sprayer unning areas
bymeansofsomereference stakesor ofafoamrowmarking
device (optional equipment), in order to avoid spraying
superimpositions (excessive or unsufficient spraying).
• To take information about weather conditions and weather
forecast during the whole spraying time.
•To make sure that the spraying treatment is really
necessary in consideration of the conditions of the
cultivations or of the growth of the target organism.
• Before preparing the spraying mixture, it is necessary to
check the sprayer adjustment and to read carefully the
instructions on the use of the plant protection products
and of the equipment itself.
Furthermore the following precaution-
ary measures should be taken when pre-
paring the spraying mixture:
• When mixing plant protection poducts, we sug-
gest to check in any case together with the seller
of the used products if the same are physically,
chemically and biologically com-patilble.
• To check the volume of the spraying mixture
according to the growth of cultivations and the
development conditions of the infestations on
the spraying area, in order to prepare an exact
quantity of spraying mixture.

• Controllare la sagoma limite; altezza, larghezza e peso
del mezzo compresa la macchina, devono essere compa-
tibili con le strade da percorrere, gallerie, sottopassi, ponti
condutture elettriche, telefoniche ecc.
• Osservare le regole vigenti per le segnalazioni necessa-
rie, le regole per la velocità ed il transito stradale, richie-
dere eventuali permessi ecc.
• Primadiprocederealleoperazionidiimbragaturadellamacchi-
naperilsollevamento,controllarechenonvisiaresiduoalcuno
diliquidoall'internodellacisterna.Altraprecauzionedapren-
dereèquelladicontrollareilserraggioditutte leviti checom-

• Fare particolare attenzione alla scelta delle fasce, catene,
o staffe per il sollevamento che de-
vono essere omologate.
La portata del mezzo di
sollevamento deve essere
superiore al peso della
macchina (vedi targhetta CE).
TRANSPORT AND LIFTING THE
MACHINE ON MEANS OR VEHICLE
• Check the limit outline; the height, width and weight of
the vehicle including the machine, must be compatible
with the roads to be covered, tunnels, underpasses,
bridges, electric power lines, telephone lines, etc.
• Observe the current regulations for the necessary
signalling, the regulations on speed and road traffic,
request possible permits, etc.
• Before proceeding with machine slinging operations for
lifting, make sure there are no residuals of liquid inside
the cistern. Another precaution to be taken is to check
the tightness of all the screws making up those parts of
the machine relevant to hooking.
• Pay particular attention to the choice of straps, chains, or
brackets for lifting, which must be type-
approved (see figure).

CONSIGLI PER LA SICUREZZA
ATTENZIONE
La sicurezza dell’Operatore dovrebbe essere
uno dei concetti principali per sviluppare abi-
tudini di lavoro, osservando le precauzioni
elencate qui sotto.
Siate sicuri di leggere e comprendere queste
istruzioni e così pure il personale che lavora
per Voi.
Tutti gli irroratori dovrebbero essere fatti
funzionare solo da persone responsabili, ad-
destrate e delegate a farlo.
La mancata osservanza di questi ammoni-
menti può procurare gravi danni all’Opera-
tore!
1) Prima di far funzionare il polverizzatore,
leggere attentamente il manuale di fun-
zionamento e sicurezza.
Usare la macchina sempre con la massi-
ma prudenza, ricordando che la disatten-
zione é frequente causa di incidenti.
2) Usare abbigliamento adeguato, protezio-
ne per occhi, respiratore o meglio casco
di protezione come prescritto dal Produt-
tore dei prodotti chimici.
SAFETY ADVICES
WARNING
The operator’s safety should be considered
as a must in order to develop correct work
habits by following the below mentiond pre-
cautionary measures.
Be sure that you and your personnel read
and understand these instructions.
All sprayers should be operated only by re-
sponsible persons which are trained and del-
egated to perform this task.
The non-observance of these warnings may
seriously injure the Operator !
1) Before starting up of the sprayer, it is
necessary to read carefully the operation
and safety instructions contained in this
handbook, to use the machine with ut-
most caution, keeping in mind that inat-
tention is a frequent cause of accidents.
2) Use suitable protection clothes, goggles,
breathing device or better a helmet, ac-
cording to the prescriptions of the chemi-
cal product manufacturer.

SOLLEVAMENTO E TRA-
SPORTO DELLA MACCHINA
Per il sollevamento della macchina, uti-
lizzare un carrello elevatore con por-
tata superiore al peso della macchi-
na (vedi targa CE) inserendo le for-
che sotto il tubolare A preposto a
tale scopo, il quale è anche segna-
lato con l’apposito adesivo.
ATTENZIONE: Non sollevare e
trasportare mai la macchina in
posizione di equilibrio preca-
rio.
HOISTING AND
TRANSPORTING THEMACHINE
To lift the machine, use a forklift truck
with a hoisting capacity which exceeds
the weight of the machine (see the EC
data plate). Insert the forks under the
tubular section A, specifically designed
for this purpose and identified by the
relative adhesive label.
WARNING: Never lift or transport
the machine when it is unevenly
balanced.
Prestare molta attenzione alle linee elettriche nelle fasi
di carico e scarico della macchina, che deve avvenire su
terreno piano e ad una distanza di sicurezza dai bordi dei
fossi o dalle strade. Non sollevare e trasportare mai la
macchina in posizione di equilibrio precario.
Pay particular attention to the electric lines in the
machine loading and unloading phases, which must
occur at ground level and at a safety distance from the
edges of ditches or the road. Never lift or carry the
machine in a precariously balanced position.

MACHINE NOISE LEVEL
The continuous equivalent sound pressure level
Ain the operator’s workplace is below 70 dB.
Use of special ear plugs or ear muffs
is recommended for protection from
machine noise.
RUMORE EMESSO DALLA MACCHINA
Il livello di pressione acustica continuo equivalen-
te ponderato Anel posto di lavoro dell’operatore
è al di sotto di 70 dB.
Si consiglia l’utilizzo di appositi tappi o
cuffie di protezione udito nel momento
in cui il rumore provocato dalla macchi-
na diventasse non più sopportabile.
3) Tenere le mani e i vestiti lontani da qualsiasi parte
in movimento. E’assolutamente vietato salire e/o
avvicinarsi alle parti rotanti e/o agli organi in movi-
mento della macchina, durante il suo funzionamen-
to.
4) Prima di mettere in moto il polverizzatore e/o negli
spostamenti, assicurarsi che non ci sia alcuna perso-
na dietro e/o nelle vicinanze dello stesso.
5) Non lasciare MAI le macchine in moto senza sorveglianza.
6) Oltre al freno a mano della trattrice, utilizzare i
tappi a cuneo per evitare che la trattrice possa
accidentalmente mettersi in movimento.
7) Prima di immettersi in strade di pubblico transito,
verificare che l’insieme trattrice/attrezzatura sia-
no in regola con il Codice della Strada della nazio-
ne in cui opera l’attrezzatura.
8) E’ vietato compiere qualsiasi operazione di
manutenzione o di riparazione con macchina
in movimento e/o su organi in moto.
9) E’ assolutamente vietato rovinare, manomettere o
togliere le cuffie protettive dall’albero cardanico e le pro-
tezioni degli organi in movimento.
10) Osservare e leggere attentamente tutti gli ade-
sivi che indicano i dati sul polverizzatore. Assicu-
rarsi che tutti gli adesivi siano sempre in buono
stato e leggibili. In caso di deterioramento degli
stessi, sostituirli con adesivi nuovi.
11) E’ assolutamente vietato l’ingresso nella cisterna.
12) Usare il polverizzatore solo per trattamenti
fitosanitari e non per altri usi.
13) Non utilizzare il polverizzatore con liquidi o acidi
corrosivi o con qualsiasi altro liquido non atti-
nente ai trattamenti fito-sanitari.
RESPONSABILITA’ CIVILE:
La Ditta CAFFINI declina ogni responsabilità ed
obbligazione per qualsiasi incidente alle perso-
ne o alle cose che possa comunque verificarsi
per o durante l’uso e per cause ed in dipenden-
za di prodotti dalla stessa forniti, e ciò anche
durante l’esecuzione del montaggio e del col-
laudo di consegne, se l’incidente è derivante da
mancata osservanza delle istruzioni o da un uso
improprio dell’attrezzatura.
CIVIL LIABILITY:
CAFFINI decline all responsibility and obligations
for any damages to persons or things, which may
occure as a consequence of the use, during the
use of their products. This is valid also for
accidents happened during execution, assembly
and test of the delivered products, if such
accidents are caused by the non-observance of
the safety instructions or by an unproper use of
the equipment.
3) Keep hands and clothes far from any moving
parts of the machine. It is absolutely
forbidden to go up and/or to approach the
rotating parts and/or moving elements of
the machine during operation.
4) Before starting up of the sprayer and/or
when it is moving, make sure that nobody
is behind and/or near it.
5)
NEVER leave operating machines unwatched.
6) Use wedges, besides the hand brake of the
tractor, in order to avoid an accidental
tractor movement.
7) Before driving through public traffic roads,
make sure that the tractor/sprayer unit
complies with the highway code of the
country where the machine operates.
8) It is forbidden to carry out any maintenance
or repair on moving parts and/or when the
machine is operating.
9) It is absolutely forbidden to spoil, to tamper or to
remove the protection casings from the cardan shaft
and the guards from the moving machine elements.
10) Observe and read carefully all the
instructions indicated in the sprayer data
labels.Make sure that they are always in
good conditions and legible. If spoiled,
replace them with new ones.
11) It is absolutely forbidden to go inside the tank.
12) Use the sprayer only for plant protection
treatments, but not for other use.
13) Do not use the sprayer with corrosive liquids
or acids, or with any other liquid not
pertaining to phyto-sanitary treatments.
