Inside,thevideodisplaycontainshigh-voltage/extremelyhot/movablepartsthatcancausere,electricshock,burnsor
injury.
•Do not insert foreign objects or liquids into the video display.
Ifmetallicobjects,ammableobjectsorliquidsgetinsidethevideodisplay,thismaycausere,electricshockor
malfunction.
•Be sure to use the correct voltage.
Usingapowersourcewithavoltageotherthanthatspeciedinthisinstructionmanualcancausereorelectricshock.

-Donotconnectmanypowercordstothesamepoweroutlet.

•If the video display was dropped or exposed to a strong impact, turn it off immediately and unplug the power
plug from the power outlet.
Thevideodisplayisaprecisioninstrumentandcontinueduseinsuchcasecanresultinashortcircuitandcausereor

•Before starting any maintenance work, turn off the video display and unplug the power plug from the power
outlet.

Blockingthevideodisplay'sventholescanresultintheinternaltemperaturerisingandcausereormalfunction.Observe

-Donotpushthevideodisplayintonarrowconnedspacesorenclosures.
-Donotwrapthevideodisplayinclothorothermaterials.
-Donotplacethevideodisplayfacingup,layitsidewaysorupside-down.
•For your safety, unplug the power plug from the power outlet when not using the video display for extended
periods of time.
Dustbuilduponthepowerplugcancausere.
•If the screen is damaged, do not touch the leaking liquid crystal or other internal liquids.
IftheLCDpanelisdamagedandliquidcrystalorotherinternalliquidsleakout,donotputtheliquidsinthemouth,inhale
orswallowitorletitcomeincontactwiththeskin.Iftheliquidsgetintheeyeormouth,washitimmediatelywithplenty
ofwater.Iftheliquidscomeincontactwiththeskinorclothes,wipethemimmediatelywithalcoholetc.andwashthe
exposedareawithsoap.Leavingtheliquidsuntreatedcancauseinjuryordamage.
•Keep all packaging material out of the reach of children.
Packagingmaterialtightlywrappedaroundsomeone'sheadcanresultinstrangulationorsuffocation.

Thevideodisplaycantiporfallandcauseinjury.
•Do not install the video display on an unstable surface.
Installingthevideodisplayonawobblyorslantedsurfacecancausethedisplaytotiporfallandcauseinjury.Thoroughly
checkalsothestrengthandsturdinessofthesurfacewherethevideodisplaywillbeplacedorinstalled.
•Take precautions to prevent the video display from tipping or falling.
Inanearthquakethevideodisplaycantiporfall.Foryoursafety,wheninstallingthevideodisplayonaTVstandorother
furniture,takeprecautionarymeasurestosecurethevideodisplayagainsttippingorfalling( 17).Takingsuchmeasures
canbeeffectiveinreducingtheriskofinjuryordamagebuttheeffectivenessofthepreventionmeasurescannotbe
guaranteedinallearthquakes.
•Always follow the specified procedure to install the video display ( 15).
Iftheinstallationisnotperformedcorrectly,thevideodisplaymaytiltorfallandcauseinjury.
•Inspect the condition of the installation about once per year.

•When using headphones, set the volume at a safe level.
Listeningthroughheadphonesatahighvolumecanharmyourhearing.
•Do not look at the screen for long periods of time.

time,restperiodically.Ifyoufeeldiscomfortaftercontinuedusage,stopusingthevideodisplayimmediatelyandrest.If

• Thescreenmaybedamagedifitisleftfacingstrongsourceoflight.Pleasetakeprecautionswhenplacingitneara
window.
• Donotpressrmlyonthescreen,scratchitorplaceanobjectonthescreen.Itcancausenon-uniformityordamage
tothepanel.
• Thescreenandcabinetmaybecomewarmduringuse.Notethisdoesnotconstituteamalfunction.
• Dependingontheenvironmentwherethevideodisplayisused,theinternaltemperatureofthedisplaymayrise,
resultinginbecominghottotouch.Pleasetakecarewhenhandlingthevideodisplay.
• Viewingthedisplayforprolongedperiodsoftimemayleadtoeyestrainordecreasedvision.Pleaseensuretotake
restperiodicallytoavoidthesesymptoms.

Thebacklighthasalimitedservicelifesoitsbrightnessmaydegradeandcolormaychangeduetoaging.
About Temporary Screen burn-in
Ifastationaryimageisdisplayedforaprolongedperiod,screenburn-inmayoccurwhereyouseeremnantsofwhat
wasdisplayed.ThisisacharacteristicofLCDandisnotafailure.However,thisisonlytemporaryandwilldisappear
whenplayingvideo.
About the LCD screen
Thescreenisproducedusingextremelyhigh-precisionmanufacturingtechniques,withmorethan99.99%ofthepixels
operatingtospecication.Lessthan0.01%ofthepixelsmayoccasionallymisreorappearasblack,red,blueor
greendots.Inaddition,thistendencymayincreasethroughlongtermuseduetocharacteristicoftheLCDpanel.
Thesedonotconstituteamalfunction.
Condensation
Ifthisequipmentisbroughtintoawarmroomwhileitiscoldoriftheroomisheatedsuddenly,condensationmayform
onthesurfaceorinsidetheequipment.Notethattheequipmentmaybedamagedifitisusedundersuchcondition.
Ifcondensationhasformedonthesurfaceorinsidetheequipment,donotusethevideodisplayasitmayget
damaged.Turnthepoweroffandwaituntilthecondensationhasevaporatedbeforeusingthevideodisplay.

Cleaning
• Beforecleaning,besuretounplugthepowerplugfromthewalloutlet.
• Thescreenhasaspecialsurfacetreatment,avoidtouchingitdirectlywithyourhand.Inaddition,neverafx
adhesiveobjectssuchasseals.
• Neverusealcoholorbenzene,thinner,acidiccleaningsolution,alkalinecleaningsolution,abrasiveorchemical
wipesbecausethesewilldamagethescreen.
• Ifthescreenisdirty,wipegentlywithsoftdryclothsuchascleaningclothoreyeglassescleaningcloth.Wipingthe
screentoohardmaycauseunevennessonthescreenordamagetheLCDpanel.Thescreenmaybescratchedif
wipedtoohardwithacleaningclothwithforeignparticlesattached.
• Whenthescreenisextremelydirty,wipewithsoftclothsuchascleaningclothoreyeglassescleaningcloth
moistenedwithwater-dilutedneutraldetergent.
• Useablowertoremovedustfromthesurfaceofthescreen.
• Wipedirtoncabinetwithasoftcloth.Ifthescreenisverydirty,useamoistenedclothwithwaterormilddetergent
dilutedwithwater.Donotusealcohol,benzene,paintthinner,orpesticidesastheymaydamagethesurfacenish
orerasecharactersonthecabinet.

How to Carry the Main Unit
Whenliftingthevideodisplay,pleaseusethecarryinghandlesonthedisplay’ssides.
CAUTION
• Whenunpacking,carrying,installing,orconnectingthemainunit,pleasenotethatatleasttwopeoplearerequired.
• Whencarryingthevideodisplay,handleitcarefullynottotouchordamagethescreen.
Procedures to attach the protection panel
Youcanattachtheprotectionpaneltoprotectthescreenwhencarryingthevideodisplayorwhenusingitoutdoors.
1. Unscrew the four screws on the front face.
Usea1.5mmhexagonalkey.
Donotlosetheremovedscrews.Donotusethesescrewsforotherpurposes.
2. Place the protection panel by aligning its corners with the screw holes. ( 77).
Takecarewhenattachingthepanelinordertoavoiddamagingit.

■Detaching
1. Place the display with the screen facing down on a soft cloth or cushioning material that is larger than the
display.
2. Front stand: Remove the mounting screws (two each) from the left and right stands.
Rear stand: Remove the mounting screws (one each) from the left and right stands.
Donotlosetheremovedscrews.Donotusethesescrewsforotherpurposes.

2. Align the position of the stand and screw hole on the video display.

Mounting the Main Unit on a Stand or Wall
Thismainunitcanbettedtoastand*ortoawallmountbracket*.Removethestandsbeforehand( 16).

• Whenmountingthemainunitonawall,makesurethewallhassufcientstrength.Ifnecessary,applyreinforcement.Also,
makesuretochecktheloadcapacityofthestandorwallmountbracket.
• Whenthevideodisplayisplacedonarackordisplaystandandventilationarounditisblockedbyequipmentplaced
aboveorbeloworinasurroundingarea,theoperatingtemperaturemayincrease,causingafailureoroverheating.Inorder
tomaintaintheoperatingtemperatureconditionofthevideodisplay(0˚Cto40˚C),makeaspaceofatleast1U(4.4cm)
aboveandbelowandatleast4cm(1.6in.)spacefromitsback.Makeasufcientspacefromperipheralequipment,
securevents,orinstallaventilationfan.
• Wheninstallingthevideodisplayonawall,makesufcientspacefromthewallsothatcablesarenotsqueezedortwisted.
• Avoidtouchingthescreenduringthisstepasitmaydamageit.
• Makesurethatthemainunitdoesnotfallduringinstallation/removal.
