Configuring the Method of
Connecting to a Computer

2. Configure the initial settings, according to the
screen.
•Setthelanguageandcountry/region.
•Setthetimezoneandcurrentdate/time.
•Settheaccesssecuritymeasures.
IMPORTANT
To prevent unauthorized access by third parties,
you need a PIN for login to the remote UI that
has been set on the machine.
Before starting the configuration
•Themachinecannotbeconnectedtoboth
wired and wireless LANs at the same time.
•Ifthemachineisconnectedtoan
unsecured network, your personal
information might be leaked to a third
party. Please be aware and careful of this.
•Themachinedoesnotcomewitha
router. Please have one ready, if necessary.
•Eveninanenvironmentwithoutwireless
LAN router, you can use Access Point
Mode to make a wireless connection to
the machine directly from your mobile
device (Direct Connection).

"Toner replenishment service" settings
Precautions
•Useofthetonerreplenishmentservice
requires prior registration with select
retailers. This service is only available
in certain countries/regions and for
certain models.
Through the toner replenishment service, new
toner cartridges are automatically delivered to you
before your existing toner cartridge is used up.
•Thisservicecanbesetupthrough<Toner
DeliverySettings>displayedontheHomescreen.

To connect via wired LAN
The machine does not come with a LAN cable.
Please have one ready, if necessary.
1. Make sure that the computer is connected to a
router properly.
2. Check the network settings on the computer.
3. Connect the LAN cable.
•Afterconnectingthecable,waitafewminutes
(until the IP address is set automatically).
•IfastaticIPaddresshasbeensetonthe
computer, set the machine's IP address
manually.
4. Install the driver and software.

To connect via USB
•ThemachinedoesnotcomewithaUSBcable.
Please have one ready, if necessary.
•MakesurethattheUSBcableyou
use has the following mark.
•DonotconnecttheUSBcablebeforeinstalling
thedriver.Ifyoudid,disconnecttheUSBcable
from the computer, close the dialog box, and then
perform the following procedure from step 1.

the macOS , depending on the time of purchase.
New drivers are uploaded to the Canon website,
and you can download and use the latest one.

"D:\MInst.exe" on the Windows platform (This

Vous devez vous en procurer un.

Même dans un environnement sans routeur
de réseau sans fil, vous pouvez utiliser
le mode Point d'accès pour établir une
connexion sans fil entre l'imprimante et
votre appareil mobile (connexion directe).
