At Canon, our job is to make color printing evermore convenient and fast.
With this foremost in mind, we have designed a revolutionary printer that
opens up a totally new realm for office color printing—the new Canon Office
Color Printer N1000/N2000.
Despite its remarkably low price and compact size, it has various functions
that meet or exceed all expectations. It features super high-speed printing
with the utilization of a wide one-inch print head for a maximum 2400 dpi,
high-quality image, plus space-saving design with convenient front oper-
ations. It also provides super low running costs and maintenance-free
operation. The N1000/N2000 is fully expressive and able to meet on-demand
needs quickly and effortlessly.
This is truly the color solution for today's market.
High-capacity ink tanks (black 130cc, each color 80cc)
are equipped to support large-volume printing. Moreover,
high-capacity paper feeding is possible with the standard
paper-feed cassette that holds up to 250 sheets of plain
paper. With the optional paper-feed unit, it is possible to
realize paper feeding at a maximum of 750 sheets. (The
N2000 features an optional one-deck, add-on cassette
that expands the printing capacity to 500 sheets maximum.)
Excels at large-volume, on-demand printing
Both the main unit and the print head have a
duty cycle of 7,500 pages per month (5% for
A4/letter monochrome or 5% for each color).
An extraordinary degree of durability and
maintenance-free operation have been
achieved,
making it ideal as a shared office
printer. Periodic parts replacement and
maintenance downtime are virtually a thing of
the past.
Running costs are less than two
cents per page for
monochrome printing, or
less than five cents per page for color printing
(each color at 5%).

The N1000/N2000 features a high-resolution printing mechanism with a wide one-inch print head com-
prising 640 nozzles at 600 dpi for monochrome printing, and 1280 nozzles at 1200 dpi for color printing.
A high-quality image is achieved at automatically selected resolutions (maximum of 1200/600 dpi for
monochrome and 2400/1200 dpi for color), using micro-sized small ink droplets (4pl).

and color DTP at 18 ppm
The printer is equipped with a wide one-inch print head,
high-speed paper feeding, a bi-directional printing
system, and other design aspects that, together,
realize remarkably high-speed printing. This makes it
possible to print up to 20 sheets of A4/letter
monochrome text, and up to 18 sheets of A4/letter color
DTP printing per minute. Its high print speed can be
seen especially
on a page where a portion, such as the
company logo,
is color and the rest is monochrome.

The full-front operational format is an ideal, space-saving design. As well, its nearly square footprint
makes rack storage possible. Furthermore, 10/100 Base-TX, USB1.1, and IEEE1284 interfaces are
supported. Since it is compatible with the Canon GENUINE network card for TCP/IP, IPX/SPX™ and
Ethernet, the N1000/N2000 comes ready to be plugged into a range of network systems for use as a
high-demand office network printer.
