Connect the power supply to the proper terminals. Connect the trigger input S between terminals
A1 and Y1 (DBA52 and DMBX1 versions only). Connect the relay output according to the ratings as
shown in the side diagrams.

Each terminal can accept up to 2.5 mm2wires for DAA71, DMB51 and
DMB71 and 2 x 2.5 mm2wires for DAA01 and DMB01.

Settings
Select the desired time range by the lower dial on front as shown on the left.
Adjust the time period on relative scale: 1 to 10 with respect to the chosen range, setting the centre knob as shown on the left.
XAA01D and XMB01DM24B002: select the desired function of the second relay output by the DIP-switch on the front (OFF=delayed according to the
first relay, ON= instantaneous).
DMBX1 and PMB01: select the desired function by the upper knob as shown on the left:

Adjustment
Check if the connections are correct. Turn the
power supply ON, the green LED switches ON.
The working mode, according to the selected
function, is schematized on the side label.
The yellow LED is ON when the relay is ener-
gized, it blinks slowly during timing and blinks
fast in case of wrong set-up.
Mounting
Hang the device to the DIN-Rail being sure that
the spring closes. Use a screwdriver to remove
the product.
Packaging
The packing material should be kept for redeliv-
ery in case of replacement or repair.

injuries. Disconnect the power supply and load before installing
the device. The device should only be installed by qualied/
authorized personnel.
These instructions are an integral part of the product.

The product must be disposed of at the relative recycling

General warnings
- Read carefully the present instruction manual. If the device
is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer the
protection function may be impaired.
- All operations concerning installation, or unmounting, of
device or modules shall be carried out by qualified personnel
and after having disconnected all power sources.
- A readily accessible overcurrent protection ( fuse or circu-
it breaker) shall be incorporated in the building installation
wiring.
UL NOTES
- All the devices shall be installed in a pollution degree 2
environment or better.
- Use 60 or 75°C copper (CU) conductor and wire size
DAAX1 DMBX1 DBA52: No. 30-12 AWG, stranded or solid
DAA01 DMB01: No. 30-14 AWG, stranded or solid .
- Terminal tightening torque of
DAAX1 DMBX1 DBA52: 4 to 7 Lb-In
DAA01 DMB01: 4.4 Lb-In.
- Being these devices Overvoltage Category III they are: “For
use in a circuit where devices or system, including filters or
air gaps, are used to control overvoltages at the maximum
rated impulse withstand voltage peak of 4.0 kV. Devices
or system shall be evaluated using the requirements in the
Standard for Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors, UL 1449
- For UL61010 compliance: PAA01 PMB01 models shall be
used with Carlo Gavazzi ZPD11, ZPD11A or ZPD11XA DIN
Rail Sockets.
