1 Introduction
1.1 IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

►Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use and
before cleaning.
►Inspect the unit, its power cord and plug for any
damage before using. If there appears to be any
damage or if the unit shows signs of malfunctioning,
do not use the appliance. Return the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for inspection and
repair.
►Do not use accessory attachments that have not
been recommended by the manufacturer.
►Do not use outdoors.
►Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces or hang
over sharp edges such as those on countertops.

1.2 General
Thank you for purchasing the Wine Duett Touch 12 wine
refrigerator. Please read this manual carefully before using your
new appliance to familiarize yourself with all its features.
In the following pages, you’ll learn to properly care for and
safely operate your appliance, helping it to perform at peak
efficiency for years to come.
1.3 Use of this manual
This manual provides important information on the initial setup,
safe operation, intended use, care and cleaning of the
appliance. It also includes a helpful troubleshooting section to
address common questions that may arise during operation.
The manual should be read by anyone planning to use the
appliance.

2 Safety
This chapter provides the user with important safety guidelines
to follow when setting up and operating the appliance. This
product complies with the required safety regulations. Improper
use can result in personal injury or property damages.
2.1 Intended use
This appliance is only intended for use indoors or in sheltered,
enclosed spaces for cooling wine and other beverages.
WARNING
Danger due to unintended use.
Failure to operate this appliance only as intended can be
dangerous.
►Use the device exclusively for its intended use.
►Follow all instructions in this instruction manual.
Claims of all kinds due to damages resulting from unintended
uses are excluded.
The User bears the sole risk.
2.2 General Safety information
PLEASE NOTE
Please observe the following general safety notices.
►Examine the appliance for any visible external damage prior
to use. Do not use the appliance if it appears damaged.
►If the power cord is damaged, do not use the appliance. You
will need to have it repaired by an authorized electrician.
►Persons, who may not be able to safely operate the
appliance due to any physical, mental or motor disabilities
may only use the appliance under the direct supervision of a
responsible person.
►Do not permit children to use the appliance unless
supervised.
►This wine refrigerator is for beverages only. Do not store
food in the wine refrigerator. The temperature is not cold
enough to safely refrigerate food.
►Only qualified electricians who have been trained by the
manufacturer may carry out any repairs on the unit.
►Only customer service departments authorized by the
manufacturer may carry out repairs during the guarantee

period, otherwise the guarantee entitlements will be null and
void in the event of any subsequent damages.
►Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. Only such parts will guarantee that the
safety requirements are fulfilled.
2.3 Specific warnings
2.3.1 Fire danger
WARNING
There is a risk of fire and/or explosion if the appliance is
not used properly.
Adhere to the following safety guidelines to reduce the risk of
fire and/or explosion:
►Never use the unit to store or dry flammable materials.
►Never clean any part of the appliance with flammable fluids.
►Do not store or use gasoline or any other flammable vapours
or liquids in the vicinity of this appliance.
►Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cooling
circuit.
2.3.2 Electrocution warning
WARNING
There is a risk of electrocution if the appliance is used
improperly.
Due to the risk of electrocution, never attempt to touch or repair
live wires or subassemblies!
Observe the following safety guidelines to avoid dangers due to
electrical power:
►Before changing the interior light, first turn unplug the unit
from its outlet.
►Do not operate the appliance if its power cord or plug
appears to be damaged, malfunctioning or if the unit has
been dropped. If the power cable is damaged, you will need
to have it repaired or replaced by an authorized electrician or
the manufacturer to avoid risk of injury.
►Never attempt to open the housing on the device under any
circumstances. There is a danger of electrocution whenever
the housing is open. In addition, the appliance will not
function properly if the housing is opened.

3 Getting Started
This chapter will guide you through safely unpacking and
setting up your new appliance.
3.1 Safety information
WARNING
Observe the following safety notices to reduce risk of
injury:
►Do not allow children to play with packaging materials due to
risk of suffocation.
►Transport, unpack and use two persons to set down the
device because of the heavy weight of the device.
3.2 What’s included
The WineDuett Touch 12 includes the following components:
•WineDuett Touch 12 wine refrigerator
•4 metal wine shelves
•Door handle with 2 screws and 2 washers
•Adjustable foot
•Instruction Manual
PLEASE NOTE
►Examine the shipment to ensure all the components above
are included and inspect the unit for any visible damage.
►Immediately notify the carrier and/or supplier about an
incomplete shipment or any damage as a result of
inadequate packaging or mishandling.

3.3 Unpacking
To unpack the appliance and make it ready for setup:
•Remove the unit from the carton and remove the packaging
material.
•Clean the interior surface of the appliance using a soft, damp
cloth moistened with lukewarm water.
•Your appliance should only be moved while in an upright
position.
•Only place wine bottles or beverages in the appliance after
plugging the appliance into an outlet. Do not plug in your
appliance until after you’ve read all of chapter 3.
PLEASE NOTE
►Do not remove the blue protective film until moving the
device to the location where it will be used to prevent
scratches.
3.4 Disposal of the packaging
Caso believes in the importance of recycling and has selected
packaging materials that not only protect your appliance from
damage during transit, but can be recycled to minimize any
ecological impact.
Recycling the packaging materials preserves raw materials and
reduces waste. Take any packaging materials that are no
longer required to a recycling collection point for proper
disposal.
PLEASE NOTE
►If possible, keep the original packaging for the duration of
the guarantee period in the event a return is necessary.

3.5 Setup and Assembly
3.5.1 Setup location requirements:
In order to ensure safe and trouble-free operation, the setup
location must fulfil the following prerequisites:
•Place your appliance on a floor that is strong enough to support
the appliance when it is fully loaded.
•Set up the appliance away from direct sunlight and sources of
heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the
exterior coating and heat sources may increase electrical
consumption.
•Ambient temperatures below 60.8 °F or above 89.6 °F will
hinder the performance of the appliance.
•Do not set up your appliance outdoors or in a garage without a
regulated thermostat.
•Do not set up the appliance in hot, wet or extremely damp
environments or near flammable material.
•To operate correctly, the appliance requires sufficient air flow.
Leave at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides when setting up
the appliance.
•Do not block or cover any of the unit’s vents.
•The electrical socket must be easily accessible so that the plug
can be quickly disconnected in the case of an emergency.
•The setup of this unit in non-stationary locations (e.g., boats,
airplanes, motor homes) must be carried out by a qualified
electrician, provided they guarantee the prerequisites for the
safe use of the unit.
•Please ensure that the door is closed when the appliance is
plugged in to conserve energy.

3.5.2 Attaching the adjustable foot
There are 3 large feet pre-installed feet and one small
adjustable foot. The small adjustable foot needs to be screwed
into place.
The adjustable foot can be found in the box.
The adjustable foot should be screwed into the threaded hole at
the base of the door’s hinge.
To make the appliance sit level on the floor, screw or unscrew
the adjustable foot as necessary until the unit no longer tilts or
wobbles when touched.
3.5.3 Installing the handle
The unit comes with a metal stainless steel handle that needs
to be attached to the door. To attach the handle, locate the
screw holes on the inside of the door underneath the door’s
rubber seal. Then place the included washers over the included
screws and push the screws through the holes until the screws’
ends can be seen from the outside of the unit. Then line up the
handle with the screws and, using a Phillips screwdriver, screw
the handle into place until it is flush with the door. Do not
overscrew.
3.5.4 Removing the wine shelves
First remove any bottles from the shelves. Lift each shelf
upward and gently pull it out. Any of the wine shelves can be
removed to accommodate larger bottles.

PLEASE NOTE
►Ensure that the shelves are engaged and stable before
storing any bottles.
3.6 Electrical connection
To ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the
following guidelines must be observed:
•Before plugging in the unit, compare the voltage and frequency
data on the rating plate (found on the back of the unit) with that
of your electrical network. This data must be compatible. If in
doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
•The electrical outlet must be protected by a 16A safety cut-out
switch.
•The use an extension cord is not recommended.
•The use of a multi-plug outlet adapter is not recommended due
to fire danger.
•Make sure that the power cable is undamaged and isn’t
touching or sharp or hot surfaces surfaces.
•This unit is not designed to be installed in an RV or used with
an inverter.
•The electrical safety of the unit is only guaranteed if it is
connected to a properly installed protective conductor system.
Use of the appliance without a protective conductor is
prohibited. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. The
manufacturer cannot be made responsible for damages due to
a missing or damaged protective conductor.

5 Operation
This chapter describes how to properly operate your appliance.
5.1 Operating instructions

To select a new temperature:
Once the unit is plugged in, press the “+” or “-“ buttons of one of
the zones until the desired temperature shows on the display.
The maximum temperature range is 44 °F -64°F.
The selected temperature will flash for a few seconds after
which the current temperature will be displayed again as the
unit cools or warms until the selected temperature is reached.
PLEASE NOTE
►Temperature recommendations for wine: red = 53.6 °F –
60.8 °F; white = 44 °F – 50 °F.
►It may take up to a few hours for the unit to make large
increases in temperature.
Interior Light:
You can turn the interior light on or off by pressing the Light
button in the center of the display.
5.2 Rating plate
The rating plate with the connection and performance data can
be found on the back of the unit.

6 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter describes how to properly clean and maintain your
appliance.
6.1 Safety information
WARNING
Please observe the following safety notices, before cleaning the
device to avoid damage to the unit or personal injury:
►Prior to setup, clean the appliance thoroughly.
►Unplug the unit and remove all its contents before cleaning.
►Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
►Do not attempt to scrape off stubborn grime with hard or
abrasive tools.
6.2 Cleaning
Interior space
•Wipe the inside of the unit with a damp cloth soaked in a
lukewarm water and baking soda solution. The solution
should be about 1 gram of baking soda to 5 mililiters of
water. Wipe dry with a dry soft cloth.
•After cleaning the interior space, leave the unit’s door open
until the interior of the device is completely dry.
Door gasket (rubber seal around inner door)
•Be sure to keep the door gasket clean to ensure a tight seal
and to keep the unit running efficiently.
Cabinet exterior
•The exterior should be cleaned with a mild detergent and
warm water.
•Use a soft, dry cloth for drying.
Vents
•Lint or dust can block the vents and hinder the cooling
efficiency of the appliance. Vacuum the vents if necessary.

6.3 Transporting the appliance
Unplug the unit from its outlet.
Remove all content.
Tape down all lose items inside your appliance.
Tape the door shut. Be sure the wine refrigerator stays in the
upright position during transport.
7 Troubleshooting
This chapter offers a few possible solutions to minor problems.

►Only qualified electricians, who have been trained by the
manufacturer, may carry out any repairs on electrical
equipment.
►Improperly performed repairs can lead to serious personal
injury or damage to the device.

8 Disposal of the Old Device
To protect the environment, it’s important to dispose of old
electronic devices properly. Do not place your old appliance in
the non-recyclable waste under any circumstances.
PLEASE NOTE
►Please take your old appliance to the nearest recycling
center for safe disposal.
►Until it can be disposed of properly, store your old appliance
away from children.
