CHEELCARE AWARE-A4 UNIVERSAL User manual

Safety Informaon — Warning:
Failure to read and follow these warnings and instrucons
may result in a serious accident, including damaged property or a
serious injury, including loss of life.
This Universal Power Wheelchair Rear-view System is designed
as an aid to the wheelchair user in detecng large staonary objects
behind the wheelchair. It must be used safely and properly. Use of
this System is not a substute for safe, proper and legal use of power
wheelchairs.
Never back up while looking ONLY at the screen. Wheelchair
user should always be aware or adult, children, pets , property behind
and around the wheelchair when backing up. Always make sure your
intended path is clear. If you back up while looking only at the
monitor, you may hit an adult, child, pet or property resulng in injury
or death. Always back up slowly.
Never depend on the Backup Camera enrely when backing
up. The image on the screen is dierent from actual condions.
Objects viewed in the rear view display monitor dier from actual
distance because a wide-angle lens is used.
The area displayed by the Backup Camera is limited. the
Backup Camera does not display objects that are close to or below the
wheelchair frame, underneath the wheelchair, or objects out of the
camera's eld of view. The area displayed on the screen may vary
according to wheelchair orientaon or road condions.
If the back of the wheelchair is hit, the posion and mounng
angle of the Rear-view Camera may change. Please adjust accordingly.
This product will only provide images of items that are within
the eld of view of the camera. The camera should be kept clean and
unobstructed, and should be mounted so that its eld of view
includes the enre area behind your wheelchair.
Consult local laws and regulaons for any restricons on
installaon or use. Never allow children to play with the device. Small
parts may be a choking hazard.
The camera has a water-resistant construcon, but do not
submerge camera in water. This might cause a malfuncon, re or an
electric shock. There is a plasc cover over the camera. Do not scratch
the cover when cleaning dirt or snow from the cover.
When the temperature changes rapidly the system may not
operate normally. When camera exposed to strong and direct light,
objects may not be displayed clearly.
Do not use alcohol, benzene or thinner to clean the camera.
To clean the camera, wipe with a clean cloth dampened with mild
cleaner diluted with water and then wipe with a dry cloth.
Do not disassemble or modify any part of the Universal Power
Wheelchair Rear-view System. This may cause incorrect operaon.

Limited Warranty
Cheelcare warrants, to the original purchaser, that its products are free from defects
in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of original purchase. Where
permied by law, Cheelcare's liability shall be limited to that set forth in this limited
express warranty. This limited express warranty shall be the exclusive remedy of the
purchaser and Cheelcare makes no other warranty of any kind aside from the limited
express warranty stated above. Note: Warranty only applies for US and Canada
customers of purchases made in the US and Canada.
Condions of Warranty
If during the 1 year warranty period your new product is found to be defecve,
Cheelcare will repair such defect, or replace the product, without charge for parts or
labor subject to the following condions:
1. All repairs must be performed by Cheelcare.
2. All warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the sales receipt or bill of
sale.
3. The equipment must not have been altered or damaged through negligence,
accident, improper operaon, or failure to follow the product instrucons for instal-
laon, use, or care.
4. The replacement of parts is excluded from the warranty when replacement is
necessary due to normal wear and tear.
5. Repair or replacement parts supplied by Cheelcare under this warranty are pro-
tected only for the unexpired poron of the original warranty.
6. This is a "repair or replace" warranty only, and does not cover the costs incurred
for the installaon, removal or reinstallaon of the product, or damage to any mo-
bile phone device or vehicle.

Power Wheelchair Rear-view System
Ensure that monitor locaon will not obstruct neither view while driving
the wheelchair nor access to the joysck and/or other wheelchair control
device.
The mounng stand might not t to every type of wheelchair. The display
monitor can be mounted in various locaons on the power wheelchair. Consult
your wheelchair manufacturer to be sure that installaon and mounng locaon
you choose will not degrade the safety of any system or device on your
wheelchair.

Cheelcare and/or its aliates are not responsible for a user’s intended or
actual use of the Rear-view camera with proximity sensors. In no event shall
Cheelcare and/or its aliates have any liability for any losses (whether direct or
indirect, in contract, tort or otherwise) incurred in connecon with the Rear-
view camera with proximity sensors, including but not limited to damaged
property, personal injury and/or loss of life. Neither shall Cheelcare and/or its
aliates have any liability for any decision, acon or inacon taken by any
person in reliance on the Rear-view camera with proximity sensors, or for any
delays, inaccuracies and /or errors in connecon with the Rear-view camera
with proximity sensors and its funconing. Cheelcare and/or its aliates shall
have no responsibility or liability for damage and/ or injury resulng from
accidents occurring with the wheelchairs having the installed Rear-view camera
with proximity sensors and shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage,
incidental or consequenal, arising out of the use or intended use of the
product.
USER MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the Cheelcare AWARE - A4 Universal Power Wheelchair
Rear-view System.
Please read the installaon instrucons BEFORE installing the product. Improper
installaon will void manufacturer's warranty.
Do not apply to all types of power wheelchairs. Consult a technician if you are
experiencing any problems while installing the product. You can contact Cheelcare at
(647) 800-2680 to speak to one of our installaon specialists if you have any specic
quesons regarding your Universal Power Wheelchair Rear View System. You can also
review addional informaon on installaon and safety at www.cheelcare.com.
Please read the safety informaon BEFORE using the product. ALWAYS use the
product as outlined in this user manual.
AWARE - A4
The AWARE - A4 Universal Rear-View System is powered by connecng
directly into R-net hub of your power wheelchair .
Contact your power wheelchair manufacturer to ensure that this
connecon will not void exisng product warranty. You have the opon of
choosing Cheelcare AWARE - A1 and AWARE -A2 for dierent connecon
opons. Please note that the price of the dierent opons is not the same.
Installaon Guide:
1. Screw and secure the display monitor mount stand to the wheelchair armrest tube.
2. Install monitor display to the top of the mounng hardware. Apply pressure unl a
click is heard to ensure the monitor is ght and secured onto the mount.
3. Adjust and lt mounng angle as preferred to achieve beer viewing angle. Then
secure the angle by ghtening the screw knob
4. Install rear-view camera on top of wheelchair frame, behind backrest, to achieve
maximum viewing angle. Use provided zip es.
Connecon guide:
Do not connect to a power supply that is greater than 5V. Using more
than 5V will damage and possibly set re to the components .
1. Connect the red and yellow connectors as the image shown below
2. Locate the R-net port on your wheelchair
3. Connect the R-net plug from the AWARE system to the selected port, your system is
now ready to use
4. Test the system. If there is a problem check the connecons.

• Camera and sensors water resistance: IP67 rang
• View Angle: 170 degrees
• View Range: 0.1 - 9 m (0.3 - 30 .)
LCD Display:
• Shows video captured by the rear view camera
• Indicates the distance measured by the camera on screen
• Provides distance guides to aid with reversing
• Connected using red (power) and yellow or white (video) connectors
Rear-view camera & Proximity sensors:
• Proximity sensors are integrated into the rear-view Camera
• Connected using red (power) and yellow (video) connectors
Beeper:
• The speed of beeps will change based on distance measured by the
camera.
• Connected using a 2 pin connector to the camera
• Can be disconnected when not needed
Mounng Stand:
• Adjustable posion to provide a comfortable and stable viewing angle
Package contents:
• 5" display monitor
• Weatherproof rear-view Camera including proximity sensors
• Beeper
• Monitor mount stand
• Connecon cable with Power switch
• 4x Zip es and adhesive Velcro pads
