This child restraint system is manufactured in compliance
with the requirements of Regulation No 129 of the Economic Commission
for Europe of the United Nations (UN/ECE) — Uniform provisions concerning
the approval of enhanced Child Restraint Systems used on board of motor
vehicles (ECRS), the provisions of the Product safety Directive 2001/95/
EU of the European Parliament and The Council as well as the Consumer
Protection Law of Bulgarian Legislation.

USE OF CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM
„MAXIMUS”

Child restrained system “MAXIMUS” is suitable for children with height 40-150 cm,
approx. age 0-12 years:
I-Size universal ISOFIX: 40-105 cm / ≤18 kg.
I-Size booster seat: 100-150 cm

This is an enhanced “i-Size” Child Restraint System. It is approved to Regulation No.129, for use in,
“i-Size compatible” vehicle seating positions as indicated by vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle users’
manual.

CAUTION! THE VEHICLE SAFETY BELTS WHICH HOLD THE CAR SEAT TO THE PASSENGER
SEAT MUST BE TIGHTENED AND FIXED!
CAUTION! THE CAR SEAT SAFETY BELTS MUST BE PROPERLY ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO
CHILD’S HEIGHT, NOT TWISTED AND SNUG WELL AGAINST BABY’S BODY.
CAUTION! THE LAP BELT MUST BE PLACED LOW DOWN, SO THAT THE PELVIS IS FIRMLY
ENGAGED WITHOUT PRESSING!
CAUTION! DO NOT MAKE CHANGES, ADDITIONS OR MODIFICATIONS ON THE CAR SEAT
WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE NOTIFYING AUTHORITY ! IT IS DANGEROUS NOT TO
KEEP STRICTLY THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE MANUAFACTURER!
CAUTION! KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE!
Installation in the vehicle and securing the child in the car seat to be done only by adult!
The hard parts and the parts of the child restraint made of plastic should be located and installed
so that when the vehicle is in normal use, they can not be trapped by a sliding seat or in a door of
the vehicle.
Do not allow the safety belts of the car seat and the vehicle to be twisted, frayed or torn, latches and
locks (buckles) must be always in good order and rmly xed.
 If you nd uncertainty or defect in the structure, latches, straps or locking mechanisms of the car seat
or ISOFIX attachments , discontinue usage until removal of the damaged parts and replacement
with new ones.
After a violent impact the car seat and belts may be damaged, therefore, it is recommended to
replace the car seat with a new one.
 Never use a second hand child restraint. It may have su󰀨ered structural damage, which may make
the child restraint extremely dangerous.
Do not use this car seat without its seat cover and do not replace it with a new one, unless supplied
by the manufacturer. The fabric parts are integral parts of the restraint system and its safety features!
Any luggage or other objects that could cause injury in the event of a collision must be well secured.
Remove or secure at a safe distance from the seat and child any luggage that may cause injury in
the event of a sudden stop or accident while driving.
 Always check that the seat is rmly attached to the vehicle seat, even when you are not placing
a child in it. A loose car seat, even without a child in it, can cause injury in the event of a collision.
Do not put additional pads except the ones supplied from the manufacturer!
Do not use spare parts and other components not supplied by the manufacturer. The manufacturer
assumes no responsibility for safety in the event that are used spare parts other than original.
Keep the instructions for use in the space provided in the car seat or in the vehicle in which you are
going to use the car seat.

Do not expose the car seat to direct sunlight to prevent the child from burning, deforming the car seat
and especially the plastic parts.
The car seat does not replace the child's cot or bed. When a child needs a sleep, you have to place
him/her in a suitable baby stroller, baby crib or bed.
Do not attach objects with long cords or strings on the car seat in order to avoid danger of
su󰀨ocation!
Never place the car seat on beds, couches or similar soft surfaces!
Do not allow children to play with the product!
 Do not remove stickers and warnings – they contain important information!
 The packaging of the product must be kept out of the reach of children at the time of and after
unpacking in order to avoid the risk of strangulation!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM
SECURING THE CHILD IN CAR SEAT
IMPORTANT!
Head support height adjustment
• Follow exactly the instructions and sequence of installation steps and use of the product
described in the text and gures of this manual.
• Check the security of xing after each operation!
• ALWAYS CHECK THE SECURITY OF FIXING OF THE SAFETY BELTS!
• After each installation make sure that the seat belts are not twisted and they are in the correct
position.
CAUTION!
Use the additional soft pad only
for children with height ≤ 75 cm

1. Release the belts by pressing the button for adjustment (1) and at the same time pull the shoulder
belts as much as possible towards you (2).
CAUTION! Pull the shoulder belts, not the soft pads.
2. Pull the handle to adjust the head support’s height (3) to set up the head support in upper position.
Pull the handle (3) and press the head support back to set it lower. By xing you will hear a click sound.

Unfolding of the support leg
Lift the support leg at the bottom of seat and rotate outwards (1).
When you rotate it up to 45°, you can pull out the module of support leg (2).
CAUTION! YOU CAN ROTATE THE SEAT ONLY IF THE MODULE OF SUPPORT LEG IS PULLED
OUT (2)!
CAUTION! Make sure that head rest is xed by trying to push it slightly down.
Before car seat installation in vehicle, adjust the height of the head support according to child’s height.
CAUTION! Shoulder belts must go above child’s shoulders. They must not be higher than shoulders
nor lower.
CAUTION! If the head support must be set between 2 of the position, select the higher one.
Seat can recline in 5 positions.
Pull the lever for recline (1) and set the seat in in required position until you hear a click sound.

Rotate the support leg inwards up to 45° (3) and after that you can press and fold the entire module
of support leg (4). At the end set the support leg at the bottom of seat (5).
1. Grab and press the ISOFIX release button (1) as shown in the gure and at the same time move the
ISOFIX attachment maximum out. Do the same actions with other ISOFIX attachment.
Note: Make sure that ISOFIX attachments are maximum out and ISOFIX indicators show red color (2).
2. Insert the ISOFIX attachments (3) of car seat into ISOFIX attachment points of vehicle. Press the car
seat backwards until you hear a click and it xes.
CAUTION! ISOFIX attachments are xed only when both of them show green color (4).
Note: In indicators show red color (5), install the car seat again by following the above-described order
of actions.
Shake the installed car seat. If it is unstable or some of the ISOFIX attachments is released, install the
car seat again.
To remove the car seat, so the above-described order of actions in reversed order.

Press the button for support leg adjustment (1) and at the same time pull down the support leg (2) until
it is pressed rmly against the vehicle oor.
CAUTION! Support leg is xed when the indicator shows green color (3).
Note: In indicators show red color (4), install the car seat again by following the above-described order
of actions.
Shake the installed car seat. If it is unstable or some of the ISOFIX attachments is released, install the
car seat again.

1. Press the button for seat rotation and rotate the seat at 90° (sideways) to place the child in car seat.
By xing of position, you will hear a click sound.
2. Loosen the belts by pressing the button for adjustment and at the same pull the shoulder belts
maximum out.
3. Press the button of central buckle to unfasten the belts.
4. Place the belts aside.
5. Place the child in car seat.
CAUTION! Shoulder belts must go above child’s shoulders. They must not be higher than shoulders nor
lower. Adjust the head support so that both belts are in the same level.
6. Join the metal endings at both shoulder belts and insert them together into the central buckle.
By locking you will hear a click sound and buckle will show green indication. Make sue that belts are
locked into the central buckle by trying to pull them upwards.
7. Pull the adjustment strap (2) to tighten the belts around the child. Belts must snug well the child’s body
without causing discomfort to the child. Recommended space between child’s body and belts is 2 ngers
(around 2-3 cm).
8. Press the seat rotation button and set the seat in position “REARWARD” facing.
CAUTION! Belts must snug well the child’s body without causing discomfort. Recommended space

CAUTION! ALWAYS BEFORE DRIVING CHECK IF THE SEAT IS FIXED IN POSITION

FACING. DO NOT USE THE CAR SEAT IF SEAT IN NOT FIXED.

1. Remove the additional soft cushion (1). Loosen the belts by pressing the button for adjustment and at
the same pull the shoulder belts maximum out. Unlock the belts.
2. Place the shoulder belts behind the fabric cover of head support, open the cover of compartment for
buckle storage. Lock the buckle (3), place it in compartment and close the cover.
3. Press ISOFIX release button (1) as shown in the gure and at the same time move the ISOFIX attach-
ment maximum out. Do the same actions for other ISOFIX attachment.
Note: Make sure that ISOFIX attachments are maximum out and ISOFIX indicators show red (4).
4. Remove the soft shoulder pads from shoulder belts (5).
5. Insert the ISOFIX attachments (3) of car seat into ISOFIX attachment points of vehicle. Press the car
seat backwards until you hear a click and it xes.
CAUTION! ISOFIX attachments are xed only when both of them show green color (7).
Note: In indicators show red color (8), install the car seat again by following the above-described order
of actions.
Shake the installed car seat. If it is unstable or some of the ISOFIX attachments is released, install the
car seat again.
6. Set the head support at suitable position according to your child’s height (See section Head support
height adjustment).
7. Thread the diagonal vehicle belt through the guide under the head support (9). Place the child in car
seat and thread the lap belt through the guide at down part of seat. Lock the 3-point vehicle safety belt
into the buckle at vehicle seat (10) until you hear a click sound.
CAUTION! Make sure that belts are not twisted and snug the child’s pelvis without pressing it.
CAUTION! ALWAYS BEFORE DRIVING CHECK IF THE SEAT IS FIXED IN POSITION “FORWARD”
FACING. DO NOT USE THE CAR SEAT IF SEAT IN NOT FIXED.

INSTALLATION OF CAR SEAT FORWARD FACING
For child’s height: 100-150 cm
3-point vehicle safety belt
1. Remove the additional soft cushion (1). Loosen the belts by pressing the button for adjustment and at
the same pull the shoulder belts maximum out. Unlock the belts.
2. Place the shoulder belts behind the fabric cover of head support, open the cover of compartment for
buckle storage. Lock the buckle (3), place it in compartment and close the cover.
3. Place the car seat onto the vehicle seat in position “FORWARD” facing.
Note: Before installing the car seat on vehicle seat, you have to stow the ISOFIX attachments and fold
the support leg under the seat.
4. Set the head support at suitable position according to your child’s height (See section Head support
height adjustment).
5. Thread the diagonal vehicle belt through the guide under the head support (4). Place the child in car
seat and thread the lap belt through the guide at down part of seat. Lock the 3-point vehicle safety belt
into the buckle at vehicle seat (5) until you hear a click sound.
CAUTION! Make sure that belts are not twisted and snug the child’s pelvis without pressing it.
CAUTION! ALWAYS BEFORE DRIVING CHECK IF THE SEAT IS FIXED IN POSITION “FORWARD”
FACING. DO NOT USE THE CAR SEAT IF SEAT IN NOT FIXED.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the fabrics, plastic parts and metal parts with damp cotton cloth or sponge and mild soap
Fabric cover and soft pads may be hand washed at 30O С using mild detergent!
Do not bleach! Do not tumble dry! Do not machine wash! Do not iron!
Do not use abrasive, bleach or other aggressive detergents.
Always after cleaning leave the car seat fully dry and after that use it or store it.
Harnesses must be cleaned with damp cloth and mild soap!
 Do not wet or remove the stickers. They contain important information!
 Always store your car seat indoors – on dry and clean place. Do not expose to direct environment
inuence - sun, rain, moisture and high temperature intervals.
 Please, contact your authorized dealer for problems connected with the use or repair.
