Additional
information
Transfer speed may be aected by interference of other wireless devices nearby, as well as physical features of the
site of installation. These may cause connection speed to slow down, which is independent of the Provider. If you
used an external router before to transmit signal, then you will no longer need it.
In order to have the fastest internet connection possible, please use cable connection between the WLAN modem
and your computer.
You can make further settings on the following web-based user interface:
Cisco 3925
•IP address: http://192.168.1.1
•Please leave the user name and the password blank.
Technicolor TC7200 /Ubee EVW3226
•IP address:
- in router mode (default) 192.168.0.1
- in bridge mode: 192.168.100.1

In order to ensure the most ideal speed for your wi connection, please keep in mind the following:
- Wi coverage in the entire apartment largely depends on the location of the modem.
- Best coverage can be achieved by placing the modem somewhere high, in the middle of the apartment/building,
for instance on a desk or on a shelf.
- Do not hide the device in the shelf and do not place it between a large TV set and a media box.
- Please avoid placing it into corners and the coving, or near plants and the aquarium.
- Have the modem away from metal objects, like a PC system unit, or large reecting surfaces.
- Connection speed may be improved by turning the modem.
For factory reset go to SYSTEM menu / BACKUP AND RECOVERY.
You can also do factory reset by pressing the RESET button on the back panel of the modem for 15 seconds. After
returning to factory setting, both the network name and the wi password will be reset to the original found on the
label.
- Check if the led lights on the front of the cable modem are lit and if not, please check the plugs (electricity, coaxial
cable, UTP cable) and if the main switch on the back of the modem is set to „I”.
- The 4th led (from the left) should be constantly on, indicating that your device is adequately connected to the
internet.
- Reset factory settings as described in point 6 (by doing so, all your previous settings will be lost).
To change the wi password, click Security under WIRELESS in the menu.
4. Wi setting
tips to ensure
optimal
operation
- When rst switched on, the wi modem automatically chooses the least loaded channel (automatic setting). Later on it
may be necessary to restart the modem so that it nds the most ideal channel.
- By using a Wi analyzer or similar software you can identify the least loaded channel that is worth setting manually.
- If your internet devices allow, use the 5 GHz frequency range, instead of 2.4 GHz, where there is less interference.
5. Checking the
speed/slow
internet
connection
If you want to check guaranteed band-with, do it on cable-connected desktop computer because you may get a
dierent value on mobile devices.
- Connection speed will be determined on the basis of the slower connection of either the modem or the end
device.
- Human body signicantly „shades” the connection, which has to be taken into consideration each time (when
placing the wi modem, during use and during speed check as well).
When experiencing slow or interrupted internet connection:
- If you experience slow or interrupted internet connection, do a speed check. Before starting the check, please stop
all running applications, downloads or updates.
- Restart the modem! Switch it o or unplug it, then reconnect it and try the connection in a few minutes.
- Use encryption. Protect your wi network with a password from illegitimate use (at least WPA encryption is
recommended).
- If the speed check shows slowi-down or interruption, run a virus check on your computer, then carry out another
speed check.
After making the changes, click ‚Save’!
By default the network name is
UPCxxxxxxx, which you will nd on the
label on the bottom of the modem.
You can change the default password
(also written on the sticker) here. Type in
the new password twice, then click ‚Save’!
In case you had a wi device before, you can change its SSID settings by going on the web interface of the new
device and doing the following (you will nd the IP address under „Additional information”):
