1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH. We want our
customers to safely use the CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH so that they can
enjoy the product worry free. Riding a CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH can be
dangerous. It is important that you practise and get a feeling of the safe use of
your CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH. Read the instruction manual before use
and keep it for future reference. If you pass the CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH to
others, also pass this instruction manual along. Non-observance of this instruction
manual can cause severe injuries and/ or damage the product. To ensure a better
legibility the following text refers to the CityBlitz®E-Scooter FLASH as product.

2. Intended Use
•The product was manufactured and tested by us using the utmost care. It
corresponds in technical design and equipment to the regulations of the
STVZO and eKFV as amended from 06.06.2019.
•The product may only be used on flat, dry and smooth surfaces be used. It may
not be upstairs or downstairs, on escalators or be used on oily / icy surfaces. If
you are on uneven Road pavement, lift the product and go on Obstacle over.
•The product must only be used by one person at a time.
•The product must not be used to transport passengers, objects or animals.
•The product is only intended for private use. It is not suitable for commercial
use, for example, rental.
•The product is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 14 years.
•The product must only be used by users weighing more than 30 kg and less
than 120 kg.The user height should be in a range of 150-200 cm.
•
•Only use the product as described in this instruction manual.
Do not try to open or modify the product. at Changes to the product will void
the warranty and the Operating license.
Any other use
can cause severe injuries to the user/bystander and damage to the product
and/or other property.
•Use this product with common sense and at your own risk. Be careful and
know your limitations. CityBlitz GmbH is not liable for damages or injuries
resulting from the use of this product.
•Always be cautious and vigilant. Even during normal use external factors
(bystanders, environment, weather) can compromise user’s safety.
3. Safety Instructions
This section lists the safety instructions that should be followed while using the
product.
3.1 General Safety Instructions
DANGER The use of this product can be dangerous! Get used to the
ride-on products, this product can and is intended to move. It is therefore
possible to lose control, fall and/or get into dangerous situations that cannot be
eliminated, even with fair amount of care, instruction or expertise.

•Permitted maximum speed is 20 km/h.
•Pregnant women as well as people with disabilities, heart problems, head,
back or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas), should not use this
product.
•Do not use the product after consuming alcohol, sedatives or psychoactive
drugs that could impair your judgment.
•Always keep a distance of at least 1 meter from others and from any
obstacles.
•The product should only be used, if the surroundings allow the user and
bystanders to be safe during operation.
•Pay attention to obstacles directly in front and at a distance - an
unobstructed view contributes to a safe use!
•If you are using the product together with other riders (in a group), ensure to
maintain a distance of at least 1 meter from each other to avoid accidents.
•Do not turn sharply, especially at high speeds.
•Avoid rapid acceleration/deceleration. Speeding with body leaning
excessively forward or backward is strictly prohibited.
•Do not abuse the product. Do not ride the product on curbs, ramps, skate
park, empty pool, or in any ways similar to a skateboard.
•Do not ride the product where it is not permitted, for example, near motor
vehicles, on public roads, crowded areas, near or over potholes, and cracks
or uneven pavement.
•Do not use the product to drive over obstacles, inclined surfaces, slopes, ice,
snow, climb up or down steep hills, or up and down the stairs or escalators.
Do not expose to rain.
•Do not use the product on surfaces with puddles more than 2 cm deep. Risk
•Do not attempt to jump on or off the product. Do not attempt any stunts or
tricks with the product.
•Do not get distracted while using the product by using the phone, listening to
the music, or simply daydreaming!
•When driving, always hold both handle grips.
•Do not use the product at night or in poorly lit areas.
•Stop using the product if it has manufacturing defects, is damaged or was
dropped. Contact the service hotline provided on the warranty card.
•Wear comfortable sportswear and athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber
soles) to be mobile. Never ride bare feet or in sandals.
•Choose a surface that allows you to improve your driving skills.
•When you come across pedestrians or other obstacles, check if you can
pass by safely or not, before you continue.

•Only use the product and its accessories in moderate temperatures. Pay
attention to the temperature requirements to charge batteries.
•Always wear personal protective equipment (wrist, knee, head and elbow
protection) that is suitable for individual body weight and size, to prevent
injuries. Helmet may be legally required by the local law or regulation in your

3.2 Battery Safety Instructions
DANGER Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as
•Fully charge the battery if not in use for over 30 days.
•Fully charge the battery every 90 days, or the battery may self-discharge and
get damaged.
•If the battery releases a strong odour or becomes hot, stop using the product
immediately. The batteries cannot be removed/replaced; they are built-in.
•The battery must be removed from the product before it is scrapped. Do
not open the housing of the product and do not try to remove the battery
yourself.
•The battery is to be disposed of safely.
3.3 Battery Charger Safety Instructions
•The product is only to be used with the battery charger provided.
•This battery charger is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
battery charger.
•Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
•Regularly check the power plug and power cable for damage. If damaged, it
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•Disconnect the battery charger from the power supply and allow it to cool
before cleaning, storage and transportation.

•Protect the electrical parts against moisture. Do not immerse them in water
or other liquids while cleaning or during use to avoid electric shock. Do not
hold the battery charger under running water.
•During charging, the product must be placed in a well-ventilated area.
•Disconnect the battery charger from the power supply as soon as the battery
is fully charged.
•Check the battery charger regularly for damage. A damaged battery charger
must be repaired before use.
•Do not use the battery charger, if it has been exposed to shocks or impacts,
if it has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
•Never connect a damaged product to the battery charger. Risk of electric
shock!
•Never dismantle the battery charger. Repairs must be performed by an
electric shock.
•There
•Check the technical data before connecting the battery charger to the power
supply. Only connect the battery charger to a socket which corresponds to
the technical details shown on the rating label. Risk of electric shock!
•The battery charger is intended for indoor use only.
•Do not misuse the battery charger. The battery charger is only intended to be

•Ensure that the battery charger and the charging port are connected
correctly and not obstructed by foreign objects.
•Keep the charging port clean and dry, and protect it from dirt and humidity.
•Do not place any objects on the battery charger and do not cover it, as this
could lead to overheating. Do not place the battery charger close to a heat
source.
•Always place the power cable in such a way that no one can trip over, step
on it or damage it in any other way. Failure to do so can lead to a risk of
material damage and injuries.
•Do not disconnect the battery charger from the power supply by pulling the
power cable. Always pull the plug itself.
•Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

4. Use
This section provides information on how to correctly use the product. It is
important to adhere to these instructions for the user’s safety and longevity of the
product.
4.1 Before First Use
•Remove the product and accessories from packaging.
•Check the package contents for completeness and damage. Do not operate
the product if package content is incomplete or appears damaged. Return it
immediately to the retailer.
•Dispose of the packaging material in accordance with the legal provisions.
•Store the packaging material if you want to use it to pack, ship or transport
the product.
WARNING Risk of suffocation! Packaging materials are not toys. Plastic
bags and foils can cause suffocation. Always keep all packaging materials
away from children.
4.2 Charging the Battery
•Press and hold button for about 3 seconds to turn off the product
before charging.
•Connect the charging cable of the battery charger into the charging port of
the product.
•Connect the other cable of the battery charger into the power supply.
* The charging indicator on the charger turns red; this suggests the product
is being charged.
* The charging indicator on the charger turns green; this suggests that the
product is fully charged.
•Unplug the power cable and charging cable once the product is fully
charged.
WARNING Always close the charging port cover after charging. Do not
charge if the charging port is dirty or wet.
It is recommended to always fully charge the battery.

4.3 Assembling
Lay down the products sideways the folding lever slowly until it is fixed.
Then fasten the folding clasp.
Put aside the products.

4.4 Riding
Pre-ride checklist
Wheels - Check that the wheels are not damaged or worn excessively.
Loose parts - Ensure that all parts, such as nuts, bolts and fasteners
are secure. There should not be any unusual sound from loose parts or
broken components.
Area of operation - Ensure that the area of operation is open and
distraction of pets, children and other objects.
Laws and regulations - Always check and obey any local laws or
regulations.
Safety gear - Always wear personal protective equipment (wrist, knee,
head and elbow protection). Helmet may be legally required by local law
or regulation in your area.
Note: On first use, pressing the button for about 5 seconds to activate the
scooter.
Put the IC card on the display to unlock the scooter, the display will be on
with the unlocking sound, also the front and rear lights are on.

Turn off the scooter when the ride is over by holding and pressing the button for
about 3 seconds. The display will be off with the locking sound, which means
the scooter is successfully locked.
This product is equipped with a drum brake on the front wheel and an
electric & drum brake on the rear wheel. Always use both brakes to stop.
Travelling at a moderate speed will increase the mileage, while travelling
at high speeds for extended periods, frequent starts, stops, idling, along
with frequent acceleration and deceleration will reduce the mileage.

4.5 Describing the IC card and Display
Display Modes and Description
IC card
Speedometer Current Speed(For meeting road regulations, the max speed is restricted at 20km/h)
Press button to check battery level.
* Press the button for about 3 seconds to turn the power off.
* Press the button to turn on/off the front and rear lights.
Put the IC card on the display to turn the power on.
Note: Please keep the IC cards safe,each card contains unique “key” to unlock
your escooter.
Note: On first use, pressing the button for about 5 seconds to activate the scooter.

•Clean the battery charger and the product with a slightly damp cloth.
Subsequently, wipe all parts with a dry cloth.
WARNING Do not immerse the product or the battery charger in water or
other liquids. Do not hold the product or the battery charger under running
water. Risk of electric shock!
WARNING Do not clean the product with a water pressure cleaner.
5.3 Storage and Transportation
Store the product in a dry and clean location, inaccessible to children,
preferably in its original packaging.
•During transportation, turn off the product.
•The product should only be shipped in its original packaging. Do not throw
away the packaging as it may be needed to transport the product in future.
•Secure the product during transportation (for example, using bungee cord
straps) to prevent it from falling or tipping over.
•Protect the product from impacts and vibrations, especially when
transporting it in vehicles.
WARNING The product contains a built-in Li-Ion battery. Li-Ion batteries
are deemed dangerous goods for transportation and may only be transported if
permitted by local provisions and regulations.
If you are planning to travel with the product by plane or any other
means of transportation, check with your transportation company if
transport of the product is possible and permitted.

6. Disposal
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with
other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible
harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste
disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of
material resources. To dispose the used product, connect with the
return and collection system or contact the retailer where the product
was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe
recycling.
Dispose of batteries environmentally friendly. Do not dispose of
batteries with regular household waste. Connect with the return or
collections systems of your community or contact the retailer where
you purchased this product.
Packaging material can be conveyed back to the raw material cycle.
Dispose of packaging material in accordance with legal provisions.
