Safety
• This kettle must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical
or mental impairment. Thiskettle should not be used by anyone who does not
have theproper experience or knowledge of thekettle unless they have been
instructed in its use by someone who takes responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with thekettle.
• The kettle should only be used as described in this instruction manual.
• The kettle should be placed on adry and flat surface.
• The kettle should only be used and stored indoors.
• Stand thekettle on astable surface and out of children’s reach to reduce therisk
of scalding from boiling water.
• Always unplug thekettle from thewall socket before cleaning it or when it is not to
be used for alongtime.
• Neither thekettle nor thebase must be immersed inwater.
• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V and that thekettle is connected to
anearthed socket.
• Take care of themains lead - do not pull or carry thekettle by themains lead,
crush it in doors or chafe it by pulling it over sharp edges or around sharp corners.
• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with hot surfaces such as
cooker hobs.
• Do not use thekettle if thelead or plug is damaged.
• Do not use thekettle if you have dropped it on thefloor, left it outdoors or dropped
it intowater.
• If themains lead is damaged it must be replaced by aqualified electrician or
ClasOhlson’s Customer Services.
• Do not open thecasing! Certain uninsulated components within thehousing carry
dangerous currents and if touched may give you anelectric shock.
• The kettle must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The kettle must not be taken apart or modified.
• Do not touch thelid or housing of thekettle during or immediately after use as their
surfaces become very hot. Usethehandle.
• Thereis arisk of scalding so be very careful when pouring water from thekettle or
carrying it when it contains hotwater.
