Descaling
Due to thenatural occurrence of calcium in water, limescale deposits may form in
thekettle after someuse. Limescale deposits might lengthen thetime needed for
water toboil.
For descaling, use amixture of water and white vinegar (acetic acid) or aspecial
descaling agent that can be purchased at most supermarkets.
1. Mix100 ml of white vinegar (12 %, not regular vinegar) with 300 ml cold water or
follow thedirections included with thedescalingagent.
2. Pourthemixture into thekettle and turn iton. Boilup themixture 2 times, and then
pour itout.
3. Inorder to remove thelast remnants of limescale and descaling agent, thekettle
should be filled to themax mark with fresh coldwater. Turnthekettle on and let
itboil.
4. Pourout thewater and repeat this process 3times. Thekettle is now ready to
useagain. Thekettle should be descaled after 2–3 months daily use or whenever it
has visible limescale deposits.
