Safety
• Thekettle can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and if they
understand thehazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep theappliance and its cord out of reach of children aged
less than 8years.
• Thekettle may be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of theappliance in asafe way and
understand thehazards involved. Children shall not play with
theappliance.
• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V and that
thekettle is connected to anearthed socket.
• Always unplug thekettle from thepower point when it is not
inuse.
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thekettle
cool down properly before cleaningit.
• Do not pull or carry thekettle by themainslead. Donot
use thelead as ahandle or let it get pinched in doorjambs.
Donot pull thelead around sharp corners oredges.

• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with hot
surfaces such as cookerhobs.
• Never immerse thekettle, base, mains lead or plug in water or
other liquid. Riskof electricshock.
• Any children present when thekettle is in use must be closely
supervised.
• Certain parts of thekettle become hot during use, only grip
thekettle by its handle.
• Never use thekettle if it is damaged or not working properly.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse
thekettle if themains lead or plug is damaged.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or
aqualified tradesman.
• Thekettle is designed for indoor useonly.
• Thekettle must only be used as described in this instruction
manual.
• Only operate thekettle using thesuppliedbase.
• Do not overfill thekettle by exceeding theMAX level on
thewater level window. Ifthekettle is overfilled, boiling water
may splashout.
• Note: Ensure that thekettle is placed on afirm, flat surface
before it is switchedon.
• Note: Ensure that themains lead, plug, theelectrical
connections on thebase and thekettle are clean, dry and
intact before switching thekettleon.
• Note: Neverfill thekettle when it is on thebase. Remove
thekettle from thebase and fill it with water carefully. Ensure
that thebase and thebody of thekettle are completely dry
before placing thekettle on thebase and switching iton.
• Never fill thekettle with water when it is switchedon.

• Never use thekettle near naked flames or hot surfaces.
• Clean thekettle with asoft, dampcloth. Neveruse solvents or
strong detergents. Useamild cleaningagent.
• Never use thekettle to heat any other liquid thanwater.
• Never touch thekettle whilst it is switchedon. Hotsteam can
causeburns.
• Never leave thekettle switched on unattended and always
unplug thekettle afteruse.
• Never use thekettle if it has been dropped or is damaged in
anyway.
• Thekettle is only intended for normal domesticuse.
• Caution: Watermust not come into contact with thebase.
• Caution: Riskof personal injury if theinstructions in this
manual are not followed.
• Neither thekettle nor thebase must be immersed inwater.
• Bear in mind that thebase and certain parts of thekettle will
remain hot even after thekettle has been switchedoff.
• Caution: Ensure that thelid is closed during use and that
there is nothing to prevent thepower switch from operating
normally. Ifthepower switch is not free to move or if thelid
is open, theautomatic shut-off feature of thekettle will not
function.

Before initialuse
• Boil clean cold water in thekettle two times and rinse itout.
• Themains lead can be coiled up and stored on theunderside of thebase.
Keepthemains lead as short as possible to keep it out of reach of children
andpets.
Note: Thekettle has awater capacity of 1litre.

Operating instructions
1. Place thebase on astable and level surface.
2. Switch thekettle off by setting thepower switch to 0. Liftthekettle from thebase.
3. Lift thelid. Fillthekettle with cold wateronly. Donot overfill. Thewater level should
be between theMIN and MAXmarks. Ifthekettle is overfilled, boiling water might
splash out of thespout duringuse.
4. Lower thelid until it locksshut.
5. Place thekettle onto itsbase.
6. Connect themains lead to a220–240 V earthed wall socket.
7. Switch thepower switch to 1. Theindicator light should now belit.
8. Thekettle shuts off automatically when thewater has boiled.
9. Thepower indicator light will goout.
10. Unplug thekettle or switch off thewall socket.
11. Do not open thelid when pouring out thewater.
12. Thekettle can also be switched off manually by setting thepower switch to 0.
Note: Makesure that thelid is closed. Donot open thelid while thekettle is boiling,
someone might be injured by boilingwater.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug thekettle from thewall socket before cleaning.
• Never immerse thekettle inwater.
• Clean theexterior of thekettle by wiping it with asoft damp cloth and alittle
washing-up liquid.
• Avoid using solvents and abrasive cleaning agents.
• Dry carefully after cleaning.
Descaling
Due to thenatural occurrence of calcium in water, limescale deposits may form in
thekettle after someuse. Limescale deposits might lengthen thetime needed for
water toboil.
For descaling, use amixture of water and white vinegar (acetic acid) or aspecial
descaling agent that can be purchased at most supermarkets.
1. Mix100 ml of white vinegar (12 %, not regular vinegar) with 300 ml cold water or
follow thedirections included with thedescalingagent.
2. Pourthemixture into thekettle and turn iton. Boilup themixture 2 times, and then
pour itout.
3. Inorder to remove thelast remnants of limescale and descaling agent, thekettle
should be filled to themax mark with fresh coldwater. Turnthekettle on and let
itboil.
4. Pourout thewater and repeat this process 3times. Thekettle is now ready to
useagain. Thekettle should be descaled after 2–3 months daily use or whenever it
has visible limescale deposits.

om hur vattenkokaren på ettsäkert sätt ska användas och
förstår faror och risker som kan uppkomma. Låtaldrig barn
leka med vattenkokaren.
• Se till att spänningen ivägguttaget är 220–240 V och att du
ansluter vattenkokaren till ettjordatuttag.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget när vattenkokaren inte
används.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget och låt vattenkokaren
svalna före rengöring.
• Dra eller bär inte vattenkokaren inätsladden. Använd inte
nätsladden som etthandtag och kläm den inte inågondörr.
Draden inte heller runt vassa hörn och kanter.
• Se till att nätsladden inte kommer ikontakt med varma ytor,
t.ex. envarm spisplatta.

• Sänk aldrig ner nätsladden, stickproppen, bottenplattan eller
vattenkokaren ivatten eller annan vätska. Riskför elektriskstöt.

endast ihandtaget.

bottenplatta.
• Fyll endast vatten till maxmarkeringen. Ommer vatten fylls på

• Obs! Fyllaldrig på vatten ivattenkokaren när den står på
bottenplattan. Lyftav kannan och fyll försiktigt på vatten.
Försäkra dig om att bottenplattan och vattenkokarens hölje är
helt torra innan vattenkokaren placeras på bottenplattan och
slåspå.

• Fyll aldrig på vatten när vattenkokaren är påslagen.

alltid ut stickproppen ur vägguttaget när den inte används.
• Använd aldrig vattenkokaren om du har tappat den eller om
den på något sätt är skadad.
• Vattenkokaren är endast avsedd för normal användning
ihemmet, ipersonalmatsalar, på vandrarhemetc.
• Varning! Vatten får aldrig komma ikontakt med bottenplattan.

• Varning! Setill att locket är stängt vid användning samt att
strömbrytaren inte är blockerad på någotsätt. Omström-
brytaren inte är rörlig eller locket är öppet stängs inte
vattenkokaren av automatiskt.
