Safety
• This kettle can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of thekettle in asafe way and if they understand thehazards
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep theappliance and its cord out of reach of children aged
under 8 years.
• Thekettle can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of thekettle in asafe way and understand
thehazards involved. Neverlet children play with thekettle.
• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V and that
thekettle is connected to anearthed socket.
• Always unplug thekettle from thepower point when it is not
inuse.
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thekettle
cool down properly before cleaning it.
• Do not pull or carry thekettle by themains lead. Donot use
thelead as ahandle or let it get pinched in door jambs.
Donot pull thelead around sharp corners or edges.
• Make sure that thelead does not come in contact with
hot surfaces such as cooker hobs.

• Never immerse thelead, plug, bottom plate or kettle in water
or other liquid. Doingso may increase therisk for electric shock.
• Children who are close by when thekettle is used must be
supervised at all times.
• Certain parts of thekettle become hot during use, only touch
thehandle.
• Never use thekettle if it is damaged or does not work normally.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse thekettle
if themains lead or plug is damaged.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or
aqualified tradesman.
• Thekettle is designed for indoor use only.
• Thekettle should only be used as described in this instruction
manual.
• Thekettle may only be used with thesupplied bottom plate.
• When filling with water, do not exceed themaximum mark.
Ifmore water is filled, hot water may be expelled when heating.
• Note: Makesure that thekettle is on astable, flat surface
before it is turned on.
• Note: Makesure that themains lead, plug and theelectrical
connectors on thebottom plate and thekettle are clean,
intact and dry before thekettle is turned on.
• Note: Neverfill thekettle with water when it is positioned
on thebottom plate. Liftthejug and fill carefully with water.
Makesure that thebottom plate and thekettle’s housing are
both completely dry before thekettle is placed on thebottom
plate and is turned on.
• Never fill with water when thekettle is switched on.
• Never use thekettle near anopen fire or hot surfaces.
• Clean thekettle with alightly moistened cloth. Neveruse
solvents or corrosive cleaning products. Useamild cleaning
agent.

• Never heat liquids other than water in thekettle.
• Never touch thekettle while it is switched on. Hotsteam can
cause burn injuries.
• Never leave thekettle unattended and always unplug
themains lead from thewall socket when it is not in use.
• Never use thekettle if you have dropped it or if it has been
damaged in any way.
• Thekettle is only intended for normal household use or in staff
kitchens, hostels, motels, etc.
• Warning: Watermust never come into contact with
thebottom plate.
• Warning: Thereis arisk of personal injury if theinstructions in
this instruction manual are not followed.
• Neither thekettle nor thebottom plate must be immersed in
water when cleaning.
• Note that thebottom plate and certain parts of thekettle are
still hot even after thekettle has been turned off.

Before initial use
• Boil clean cold water in thekettle two times and rinse itout.
• Coil any excess length of mains lead around thebase of thekettle to keep it as
short as possible and keep it out of reach of children andpets.

Operating instructions
1. Place thebase on astable and level surface.
2. Switch thekettle off by setting theon/off switch to0.
3. Lift thelid. Fillthekettle with cold water only. Donot overfill.
Thewater level should be between themin and maxmarks.
4. Lower thelid until it locks shut.
5. Place thekettle on itsbase.
6. Connect themains lead to a220–240 V earthed wall socket.
7. Set theon/off switch to 1. Theindicator light will comeon.
8. When thewater boils thekettle will switch off automatically and thelight will goout.
9. Unplug thekettle or switch off thewall socket.
10. Do not open thelid when pouring out thewater.
The kettle can also be switched off manually by moving theon/off switch down to0.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug thekettle from thewall socket before cleaning.
• Never immerse thekettle inwater.
• Clean theexterior of thekettle by wiping it with asoft damp cloth and alittle
washing-up liquid.
• Avoid using solvents and abrasive cleaning agents. Drycarefully after cleaning.
Descaling
Due to thenatural occurrence of calcium in water, limescale deposits may form in
thekettle after some use. Limescale deposits might lengthen thetime needed for
water toboil.
For descaling, use amixture of water and white vinegar (acetic acid) or aspecial
descaling agent that can be purchased at most supermarkets.
1. Mix100 ml of white vinegar (12%, not regular vinegar) with 300 ml cold water or
follow thedirections included with thedescaling agent.
2. Pourthemixture into thekettle and turn it on. Boilthemixture 2 times and then
discard it.
3. Inorder to remove thelast remnants of limescale and descaling agent, thekettle
should be filled to themax mark with fresh cold water. Turnthekettle on and let it
come to theboil.
4. Pourout thewater and repeat this process 3 times. Thekettle is now ready to
useagain.
The kettle should be descaled after 2–3 months daily use or whenever it has visible
limescale deposits.

förstår faror och risker som kan uppkomma. Låtaldrig barn
leka med vattenkokaren.
• Se till att spänningen ivägguttaget är 220–240 V och att du
ansluter vattenkokaren till ettjordat uttag.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget när vattenkokaren
inteanvänds.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget och låt vattenkokaren
svalna före rengöring.
• Dra eller bär inte vattenkokaren inätsladden. Använd inte
nätsladden som etthandtag och kläm den inte inågon dörr.
Draden inte heller runt vassa hörn och kanter.
• Se till att nätsladden inte kommer ikontakt med varma ytor,
t.ex. envarm spisplatta.

vattenkokaren ivatten eller annan vätska. Riskför elektrisk stöt.

• Fyll endast vatten till maxmarkeringen. Ommer vatten fylls på

yta innan den slås på.
• Obs! Försäkra dig om att nätsladden, stickproppen och de
elektriska anslutningarna på bottenplattan och vattenkokaren
är rena, hela och torra innan vattenkokaren slås på.
• Obs! Fyllaldrig på vatten ivattenkokaren när den står på
bottenplattan. Lyftav kannan och fyll försiktigt på vatten.
Försäkra dig om att bottenplattan och vattenkokarens
hölje båda är helt torra innan vattenkokaren placeras på
bottenplattan och slås på.
