Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and save it
for future reference. We reserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technical data. In theevent of technical problems or other
queries, please contact our customer services (see address details on theback).
Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain exposed parts inside
thespeaker casing carry dangerous current. Contact with these can lead to fire or
electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least
5cm between the speaker and surrounding surfaces, are necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to astandard domestic 100–240 V,
50/60Hz electrical supply.
• Make sure that thewall socket to which themains lead is connected is easily
accessible, since this is theonly way to completely disconnect thespeaker from
themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker in anunstable position where there is arisk that it may
fall into water or other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquids such as
vases, drinks, etc. onto theproduct .
• Do not place thespeaker near naked flames such as wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Locate thespeaker in anarea where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its
mainslead.
• This product is intended for indoor useonly.
• Never subject theproduct to high temperatures, dust, heavy vibrations, impacts,
humidity or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Neverunplug theproduct by pulling on its mains
lead. Alwaysgrip theplug itself. Makesure that themains lead does not come into
contact with heat, sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is
not to be used for alongtime.
• The speaker’s standby switch does not completely disconnect it from themains.
Tocompletely disconnect thespeaker from themains, theplug must be removed
from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or its mains lead is damaged in anyway.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.

Remote control battery
The remote control is supplied with abattery. Pleaseremove any protective strip from
thebattery’s terminal before using for thefirsttime.
Changing thebattery
1. Press thebattery compartment’s catch to
theside and pull thebattery holder forwards
out of theremote control.
2. Insert anew battery (CR2032), ensuring that
the+ (positive) terminal on thebattery is facing
you as shown in theillustration.
3. Place thebattery holder holder back into
theremote control.
Operating instructions
Switch theBluetooth speaker on
1. Connect theplug to awall outlet. [ ] will shine asolid red while in standby mode.
2. Press [ ] on thespeaker or remote to turn thespeaker on. Thespeaker will turn
on either in Bluetooth or AUX mode, depending on themode that was last used.
Thespeaker will always start in BT mode if themains lead is disconnected from
thewall socket when started.
Function selection
Press the[MODE] button on thespeaker or theremote to select Bluetooth or
AUXmode. Theselected function will be displayed by theLED indicator (9).
Connecting adevice via Bluetooth
1. Switch thespeaker on.
2. Press [MODE] until theLED indicator (9) shows that Bluetooth has been activated.
Thespeaker will emit anaudio prompt and theLED indicator will begin flashing,
indicating that thespeaker is now ready for pairing with other Bluetooth devices.
3. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
4. The speaker will appear as “BTspeakerN” on your device, select this option to
connect your device to thespeaker. Referto theinstruction manual of your device
for further clarification. Note: Ifyou are prompted to enter aPIN code, enter 0000
(four noughts). Certain devices may even require theconnection to be approved.
5. The speaker will emit anaudible signal and theLED indicator will shine asteady
blue once contact has been established.
6. Playback is controlled either from thespeaker itself or theremote control.
7. Any newly connected devices will automatically connect to thespeaker thenext
time if they are on and within range (10 m) of thespeaker.

Connecting adevice using NFC (Near Field Communication)
Note: NFC can be used to connect to thespeaker in standby-, Bluetooth-mode or
when AUX mode is activated. Anypreviously selected function will automatically be
deactivated while thedevice is connected viaNFC.
1. Activate NFC on thedevice to be connected to thespeaker.
2. Place thepart of your device where theNFC antenna is situated (refer to your
device’s instruction manual if you are unsure) against thespeaker’s NFC detection
zone (4). Information on how to connect thespeaker will appear on your device.
Followthese instructions to connect.
3. The speaker will emit anaudio signal and theBluetooth LED will shine asolid blue
once thespeaker has been successfully connected.
Using theline-in jack for playback
1. Press [MODE] either on thespeaker or theremote until theLED indicator shows
that AUX is selected.
2. Connect thedevice to the3.5 mm line-in jack (12) on thespeaker’s backpanel.
3. Lower thevolume and start playback on thedevice.
4. Adjust thevolume both on thedevice and thespeaker to thedesired level.
Note: Itis not possible to control playback from theBluetooth speaker or remote
when adevice is connected via theline-in jack. Playback must then be controlled from
theconnected device.
Care and maintenance
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket and remove thebattery from theremote
control if thespeaker is not to be used for alongtime.
• Clean thespeaker using alightly moistened cloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Troubleshooting guide
The speaker will not
switch on.
• Make sure that theplug is securely connected to
thewall socket.
• Check that thewall socket islive.
Poor sound or
no sound during
Bluetooth or NFC
playback.
• Adjust thevolume on both thedevice and speaker.
• Make sure that theBluetooth/NFC connection is
functioning properly.
• Test theplayback from your external device before
connecting it.
• Try playback using another file or format e.g.
MP3. Thefile you are attempting to play may be
incompatible or corrupted.
• Make sure that no other wireless device disrupts
theBluetooth connection.
• Make sure that theBluetooth device is within range of
thespeaker. (max 10 m).
NFC connection not
possible.
• If thedevice has any type of case attached to it, try
removing it.
• Try moving thedevice slowly over theNFC detection
zone rather than holding itstill.
• Ensure that Bluetooth is working on your device.
Thespeaker uses NFC for establishing theinitial
connection but uses Bluetooth for communicating.
Poor sound or
no sound during
playback via
theline-injack.
• Make sure that the3.5 mm audio cable is undamaged
and securely connected to thedevice and thespeaker.
• Check for sufficient volume level on theconnected
device and thespeaker.
• Test theplayback from theexternal device before
connecting it.
• Try playback using another file. Thefile you are
attempting to play may be damaged.
The remote control
doesn’twork.
• The remote’s batteries may be flat. Changebatteries if
necessary.
• Point theremote control directly at theBluetooth speaker
making sure that you are within range. (max 3 m).
• If either theBluetooth speaker or remote control is
exposed to strong sunlight thesignals between them
may be blocked.
The Bluetooth speaker
freezes or does not
operate correctly.
• Try disconnecting thespeaker from themains
completely by unplugging it from thewall socket.
Thenreconnect theplug back into thewall socket.

• Högtalarens standbyomkopplare är sekundärt kopplad och skiljer inte högtalaren
från elnätet. Föratt högtalaren fullständigt ska skiljas från elnätet måste stickprop-
pen tas ur vägguttaget.
• Skydda din hörsel. Lyssning med hög volym under lång tid kan leda till bestående
hörselskador.
• Använd inte högtalaren om den eller nätsladden på något sätt är skadade.
• Högtalaren får endast repareras av kvalificerad servicepersonal.
