Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain exposed parts inside
thespeaker casing carry dangerous current. Contact with these can lead to fire or
electric shock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least
5cm between the speaker and surrounding surfaces, are necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to astandard domestic 100–240 V,
50/60Hz electrical supply.
• Make sure that thewall socket to which themains lead is connected is easily
accessible, since this is theonly way to completely disconnect thespeaker from
themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker in anunstable position where there is arisk that it may
fall into water or other liquids. Donot place any objects containing liquids such as
vases, drinks, etc. onto theproduct .
• Do not place thespeaker near naked flames such as wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Locate thespeaker in anarea where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its
mainslead.
• This product is intended for indoor useonly.
• Never subject theproduct to high temperatures, dust, heavy vibrations, impacts,
humidity or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Neverunplug theproduct by pulling on its mains
lead. Alwaysgrip theplug itself. Makesure that themains lead does not come into
contact with heat, sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is
not to be used for alongtime.
• The speaker’s standby switch does not completely disconnect it from themains.
Tocompletely disconnect thespeaker from themains, theplug must be removed
from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or its mains lead is damaged in anyway.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
