1. Pack contents
CP305E
Contact your dealer immediately in the event of missing accessories or damage.
2. Usage methods
(1) Using Cleansui for the first time
Preparing Cleansui
Clean the jug, the funnel and the lid. Wash these items with a clean sponge soaked in diluted mild
kitchen detergent. Make sure all detergent is thoroughly rinsed off after cleaning.
Do not use detergent to clean the refill filter bag and the cartridge.

Preparing the cartridge
1Remove the cap from the cartridge.
2Remove the refill filter bag from the foil pack, and
insert into the top of the cartridge.
3Push the refill filter bag down into the cartridge
and then close the top with the cap.
4Wash the cartridge with tap water.
5Insert the cartridge into the funnel and press into
position.
6Pour water into the jug until
it is 2/3 full.
7Place funnel into jug.
8Leave to stand for twenty minutes.
9Pour away the water that has collected in the
funnel and the jug.

Pour water into the funnel until it reaches the water line
and then allow it to filter naturally.

Once the water in the funnel has been
filtered ※pour away the water that has
collected in the jug.
※New cartridges usually take longer to filter water.
Additional time is required when the temperature of
the water is low.

Repeat procedures #10 and #11 twice more (for a total of three times.)

(2) General usage
1Pour tap water into the funnel until it reaches the water line.

CP305E - Attaching the lid to the jug.
Align the lid with the groves in the jug and slide forward until it clicks into place.
※Perform procedure in reverse to detach the lid.
CP307E - Detaching the lid.
Hold the handle and push the lid upwards with your thumb.
The lid can be removed once it has been raised.
2CP305E - Press the counter button every time the you fill the jug.

Display
The counter number will be reduced every time the button is pressed. The
cartridge requires replacement when this number reaches zero (when it has
been used 180 times.)
[Resetting the counter]

Press the button for an extended period of time (approximately 3 seconds.)

The counter number will be reset to [180].

CP307E - Align the position of the calendar dial.

Rotate the dial on the underside of the lid until the [start of date] line is in aligned nearby
the current date. It will remind you monthly and annually replacement date.

Ensure that the lid is closed when water is not being poured.
Use only after all of the water in the funnel has been filtered. Failure to observe this may result in
tap water (unfiltered water) mixing in with filtered water.
3. Replacing the cartridge
Remove used cartridges by pulling upward.
●
Remove the cap of the cartridge and dispose of the used refill filter bag in accordance with local
waste regulations.
●
Insert a new refill filter bag as described in section 2 on page 3.

4. Period for replacing the filter system
The period for replacing the filter system may differ in accordance with the amount of water used, the
water quality and the temperature of the water.
Replacement refill filter bag: CPC5AC3
The replacement period is approximately one month (approximately 180 litres) when six litres are
used per day but earlier replacement is recommended in the following cases:

When the odour or taste of chlorine is noticed.
●
When it has not been used for a long time.
Replacement cartridge: CPC5MF
●
The period for replacing the cartridge is approximately 12 months (approx 2200 litres).
5. Maintenance
Clean the jug, the funnel and the lid periodically.
●
Wash with a clean sponge soaked in diluted mild kitchen detergent, and then rinse off thoroughly.
●
Dishwasher proof up to 65º (note; do not clean the lid in the dishwasher)

Wipe the lid with a clean cloth.

7. Troubleshooting

8. After-sale service
Warranty
The Cleansui water filter comes with a 2 year warranty from Verbatim Limited. Please complete the
warranty form on-line at www.cleansui.com/warranty.
Parts for Cleansui water filter (including cartridges) will be kept in stock and made available for a minimum
of two years after the product has been discontinued.
Verbatim Limited warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period
of 2 years from date of purchase. This warranty excludes batteries. If this product is found to be defective
within the warranty period, it will be replaced at no cost to you. You may return it with your original cash
register receipt to the place of purchase or contact Verbatim.
In the following European countries, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom call 00 800 3883 2222. All other European countries call

Product replacement is your sole remedy under this warranty, and this warranty does not apply to normal
wear or to damage resulting from abnormal use, misuse, abuse, neglect or accident, or to any product
incompatibility. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary

9. Important information
Please adhere to the following instructions. Failure to do so may result in the
spread of bacteria or damage to the product.

Always use tap water that meets the standards required for
drinking water.
Forbidden
●
Do not touch the inside of the jug, the spout or the cartridge with
dirty hands or with a soiled sponge.
●
Do not leave the filter bag and filter cartridge within easy reach
of children
Using filtered water
Forbidden
●
Do not store filtered water at room temperature for long periods
of time.
●
Never place anything other than tap water, such as tea bags, juice
or milk, inside the jug.
●
Do not use filtered water for keeping fish or other marine life.
●
Do not pass water with a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius or
higher through the filter.
Instruction
●
Always ensure that the jug, funnel and cartridge are set in place.
●
Store the entire jug in a refrigerator at all times once the water has
passed through the cartridge.
●
To make chilled water from ice cubes, place the ice in the funnel.
●
Stop using Cleansui immediately in the event of it becoming damaged.
●
Please consult your doctor before use, if you are currently seeking
medical advice or treatment for high levels of sodium.

Avoiding damage to water filter
Forbidden
●
Do not heat.
• Failure to observe this may result in damage to the insulating material, etc.
• Never place the jug inside microwave ovens or other ovens.
●
Do not place or store the jug in locations subject to high temperatures
(locations subject to direct sunlight, inside cars that are parked in
direct sunlight, etc.)
• Failure to observe this may result in damage to the insulating material, etc.
• Failure to observe this may result in deterioration of performance or a reduced life-span.
●
Do not place Cleansui in the freezer or chilling chamber.
(Failure to observe this may result in damage or deterioration of performance.)
●
Do not use cleansers or thinners to clean the jug, funnel or lid.

Do not use detergent to wash the filter, and the cartridge that contains
the hollow fiber membrane.
10. Precautions during use
●
Do not use until all of the water in the funnel has been filtered.
(Failure to observe this may result in filtered water becoming mixed in with unfiltered water.)
●
Do not cover the air hole in the cartridge.
(Failure to observe this may result in extended filtering times.)
●
Filtering flow and the period for replacing the cartridge will differ in accordance with
the amount of water use, water quality and water temperature.
●
Do not use hot-spring water, well water or any other water that contains large
amounts of impurities.
●
The filter cannot remove salt (seawater) or metallic ions (except lead) contained in
water. It is also not capable of converting hard water to soft water.
●
Do not eat or drink the filter material. If accidentally swallowed wash your mouth
with water and consult your doctor.
11. Dispose the battery correctly
The battery for the counter has a life of approximately five years.
At the end of its life, it needs to be disposed correctly.
The battery is sealed within the lid, so please dispose the whole lid in accordance with local
regulations for battery disposal.
