General safety rules for your protection
and the protection of others

1. Keep the work area clean.
Clutteredsurfacesandtablesinviteaccidents.
2. Do not use the machine in a hazardous environment.

thatthelightingissufcientintheworkarea.Assurethereisgoodventilation
whenengagingindustytasks.Neveruseelectricmachines/toolswherethey

12.Fasten the workpiece securely.

withbothhands.Thisissaferthanholdingtheworkpiecewithonehand.
13.Do not overreach.
Makesureyoualwaysstandrmlyandwell-balanced.
14.Maintain the tools.
Assuretheyarecleanandthatthebladesaresharptoachievetheoptimaleffect
andasaferesult.Followtherecommendationsinthemanualpertainingtogreasing
andreplacementofparts.Checkthepowercordregularly,andifitisdamagedit
shouldbereplacedbyaqualiedservicetechnician.Checkallextensioncords
regularlytomakesuretheyarenotdamaged.Makesurethehandlesofthe
machine/toolandleversareclean,dry,andcompletelyfreeofoil,grease,etc.
15.Turn off the power.
Unplugthedeviceandpushtheemergencybrake,ifthereisone,beforeservice
andwhenreplacingpartssuchasplaningirons,drillbits,sandingbelts,orblades.
16. Remove all keys and service tools.
Makeitahabittoverifythatallspannersandservicetoolsareremovedfrom
themachinebeforeturningonthepower.
17.Avoid unintentional start.
Donotcarryatoolwithyourngeronthepowerswitchifitispluggedin.
AssurethepowerswitchisOFFwhenplugginginthedevice.
18. Use the correct extension cords.
Ifusingextensioncordsoutdoors,useonlythoseintendedforoutdooruse.
Useextensioncordswithsufcientrange,unrolltheentirecord.
19.Use common sense and caution.
Thinkthrougheachtaskbeforeperformingit,sothatitisperformedinasafe
manner.Neverusethemachine/toolwhenyouaretired,undertheinuenceof

20.Make sure that all parts are undamaged. Before starting the tool, make
sure that:

byaqualiedtechnician.Neverusethetoolifyouareunabletoswitchitoffor
startitinasafemanner.
21.Use recommended attachments.

Special safety rules for the compound mitre saw
Caution: Unplug the power cord before service or when replacing a blade.
Assurethatallpartsoperateappropriatelyandthatthesafetyfeaturesprotectas
intendedbeforestartingthesaw.
1. Caution: Useonlycuttingblades.Makesurethattungstencarbideblades
havenegativeteeth.Donotusebladeswithdeepspacesbetweentheteeth
assuchcanbendandcomeincontactwiththebladeguard.Adamagedsaw
blademustimmediatelybereplaced.
2. Donotusethesawuntilitiscompletelyandaccuratelyassembledaccording
tothisoperationsmanual.Verifytherotationdirectionofthemotorandthe
blade(seetherotationarrowonthebladeguard.)Makecertainthatthesaw
bladedoesnottouchtherotationtableinanysetting.Unplugthepowercord
andleanthesawblademanuallyat45°and90°.Adjustifneeded.
3. Unlessyouunderstandhowthesawistobeused,youshouldaska
knowledgeablepersonforadvice.
4. Neversawfreehanded.Fastentheworkpiecesecurelyagainstthefenceinan
appropriatemannerbeforebeginningtosaw.Iftheworkpieceyouaresawing
requiresthatyoukeepyourhandascloseas10cmfromtheblade,youshould
alwayslocktheworkpieceinplacewithaclamporsimilarbeforesawing.
5. Caution: Keepyourhandsclearofthesawblade.Neversawsmallpieces.
Usesupports.
6. Ascertainthatthebladeiswellcentred,sharp,andrunsfreelywithoutvibrating.
7. Letthemotorpickupspeedbeforebeginningtosaw.
8. Keeptheventilationopeningsofthemotorcleanandfreeofsawdust.
9. Alwaysmakesurethatallclampscrewsaretightbeforebeginningtosaw,
evenifthetableisxedatarmangle.
10.Makesurethatthebladeandtheangesarecleanandthatthespindlenutis
tight,useonlythebladeangesthatbelongtoyourparticularsaw.
11.Useonlyblades210mmindiameterandtherightspeedclassication
(atleast6000RPM).
12.Useanappropriateextrasupportwhensawinglongworkpieces.
13.Beforesawing,alwaysmakesurethatthebladeisnotcrackedordamaged.

Cutting
Cutting with the blade at an angle of 0°
Whencuttingworkpiecesupto120mmwide,theslidingfeatureofthesawisnot
neededandthesawcanbelockedinitsbacksettingwiththelockingwheel(14).
Whencuttingworkpieceswiderthan120mm,checkthatthelockingwheel(14)
isloosenedandthatthesawhead(4)ismoveablebeforebeginningtocut.
1. Releasethesawhead(4)toitsuppersettingbyremovingthestop(16).
2. Movethesawhead(4)backwardswiththehandle(2)andxitinthisposition
ifneeded(dependingonthewidthoftheworkpiecebeingcut.)
3. Placetheworkpiecebeingcutagainstthefence(7)onthemitreplate(8).
4. Fastenitwiththeclamp(19)tothebottomplatetopreventtheworkpiecefrom
givingwayduringthecutting.
5. Pressthepowerswitch(3)tostartthemotor,pressthereleaseleverandcalmly
andevenlybringdownthehandle(2)andletthesawbladecuttheworkpiece.
6. Afternishingcutting:Releasethepowerswitch(3)andwhenthemotorhas
stopped,thesawhead(4)canbebroughttoitsupperposition.
Caution:Thebalancespringsofthemachinewillautomaticallypressthesaw
headupwardsaftercutting.Thus,donotreleasethehandle(2)afternishingcut-
ting,holdthehandleandbrakecarefullywhenthesawheadspringsupwards.

Dust bag
Thesawcontainsadustbag(23).Itcanbeemptiedbyopeningthezipperatthe
bottom.Youmayalsousedustsuction.
1. Unplugthepowercord.
2. Removethestop(16)and
releasethesawheadcarefully.
Replacing the saw blade
3. Loosenthescrews(21)and

4. Pressthespindlelock(17)withonehandandturnthebladewiththeother
untilthebladeislocked,keepthespindlelockpressedanduseakeytoloosen
thebladebolt(turnclockwise).
5. Removethebladeboltandtheouterbladeangecompletely.
6. Removethesawbladefromtheinnerbladeangeandtakeoutthesawblade.
7. Installthenewsawbladeintheoppositeorder.
8. Becarefultocleanthebladeangeandboltbeforeinstalling.Therotation
directionofthesawblademustcorrespondtothearrowonthesawhouse.
9. Installtheslidingbladeguard(6)intheoppositeorder.
10.Makesurethatthespindlelockisreleased.
11.Checkthatallcoversarecorrectlyinstalledandfunctioningwellbeforethe
sawisstarted.
Note:Thespindlehasadiameterof16mmandaninsetringis
installedtogetherwiththeoriginalbladewhichhasaninsidediameterof
30mm–Bladeswithboth16and30mminsidediametercanbeused.
Caution:Alwaysmakesurethatthebladerunsfreelyinallpossiblesettings
afteryouhavereplacedthesawblade.
Caution:Removethekeyandloosenthespindlelockbeforethemachine
isstarted.

Inspection and replacement of carbon brushes
Caution:
Unplugthepowercordbeforeinspectingthecarbonbrushes.
Thelifeexpectancyofthecarbonbrushesvariesdependingontheusageof
themotor.Checkthemafter50machinehoursifthesawisneworifyouhave
replacedthebrushes.Aftertherstinspection,checkthemaftereverytenth
machinehouruntilitistimefornewbrushes.
Check the brushes in the following manner
1. Removethetwolids(18),oneoneachsideofthemotor.
2. Thecarbonbrushesareplacedinsidethelids,pulloutthecarbonbrushes.
3. Checkthelengthofthebrushes(atleast6mm).
4. Replacebothcarbonbrushesifeitheroneisbelow6mmorifanyspringor
shuntthreadisburntordamagedinanyway.

Fault localization when there
is a problem with the motor
1. Toavoidoverheatingthemotor,youshouldregularlyblowthemachineclean
orvacuumitsothatsawdustandshavingsdonotaffectthecooling.
2. Connectthesawtoanearthedoutletwithatleasta10Afuse.
3. Immediatelyreleasethepowerswitchifthemotordoesnotstartrightup.
Unplugthepowercord,checkthatthebladerunsfreely;trystartingthemotor
againifitrunsfreely.
4. Ifthemotorstopsduringsawing:Immediatelyreleasethepowerswitchand
unplugthepowercord,releasethebladefromtheworkpiece,thentrytostart
themotoragain.
5. Checkconnections,overload(severalunitsconnectedtothesamecircuit,
