Breathing4%CO2gasinanenclosedareacanresultindizziness,shortnessof
breath,orunconsciousness.
Devicecannotbespancalibratedabove3,000ft.(900m)altitude.
1. Attachtubingbetweenthe4%CO2gascylinderandthe
calibrationport.
2. Turnonthegasregulator.Flowrateshouldbebetween
0.15‐0.3litersperminute.
3. WaituntiltheCO2readingontheSEUsettles
consistentlyatornear4%CO2onthescreen.
4. BothAlarm1andAlarm2willsound.
5. PresstheModebuttonuntilthe“CALI”iconflashes.
6. PressEnter2timestoenterthe“SPAn”calibrationmode.The“CALI”iconand
“SPAn”shouldbedisplayedonthescreen.
7. PressandholdtheModebuttonforatleast10secondsuntil“Calibrating”and
“CO2”areflashingsimultaneously.
8. Spancalibrationwillbegin.Afterapproximately5minutes,theLCDwilldisplay
either“PASS”or“FAIL”.IftheLCDreads“FAIL”,repeatthestepsagain.
9. PressEntertocompletecalibration.RemovetheCO2cylinder.
10.Toresetthealarm,youmustdisconnecttheSEUfromthepowersource.Wait
afewseconds,thenplugitbackinagain.
Ifyourunitfailseither“ZEro”or“SPAn”calibration,please
followtheprocedureagainbeforecallingsupport.
