[1] Switch off the mains power. [2] Remove the existing switch from the wall.

[3] Disconnect the two power wires (brown and
black) from the wall switch.
230 VAC
[4] Connect the 2 switch wires from the built-in
dimmer to the terminals of the wall switch. It does
not matter which wire is connected to which
terminal on the wall switch.
Your wire colours may be different!

[5] Connect the wires you disconnected earlier to
the built-in dimmer: [1] L: “hot wire" (brown, coming
from the central junction box), [2] : “Switch
wire” (black, coming from the light). Push the built-
in dimmer into the wall box.
If in doubt, ask your installer!

230 VAC
[6] Switch on the mains power.
The indicator of the built-in dimmer remains lit
as long as there is power on the built-in dimmer!
The built-in dimmer is normally off. It can only
be switched on once it has been linked to a
transmitter [7– 8]!
Connect a load with a power consumption of
minimum 40 Watts and maximum 210 Watts. Do
not connect anything that may not be dimmed!

[7] Briefly press the search mode button with a
pointed object. The indicator will begin to flash.
[8] Send an "on" signal with your transmitter; for
example: press the desired on button of a remote
control or wall switch. The indicator on the built-in
dimmer stops flashing as soon as the connection
has been made.
There is now voltage on the wires. Be careful
not to touch any exposed wiring!
If no connection to the transmitter has been
made after 15 seconds, the search mode is
automatically cancelled. If necessary, repeat [7] to
activate the search mode again!

[9] To confirm, the built-in dimmer switches on and
off two times. The code of the transmitter is stored
in the memory of the built-in dimmer.
[10] Re-install the wall switch in the wall box (in
which the dimmer is located).
You can continue to use the wall switch for
manual operation.
The codes remain in the memory of the
dimmer, even if the power is shut off or there is a
black-out! Now you can also use the wall switch for
dimming (see "Reminders").
A maximum of 6 transmitter codes can be
stored at any one time!
AWMR-210 MINI BUILT-IN DIMMER/SWITCH
[11] Press the on or off button on the transmitter to
operate the switch.
[12] Dimming: (1) Press once: light switches on.
(2) Press again: The light intensity changes
continuously. (3) Press a third time as soon as the
desired light intensity has been reached.
3x
When the dimmer is switched off and on, it will
remember the most recently selected light
intensity!

Remarks
Reminders
• This product is suitable for installation in a wall box, behind the existing wall switch, and must be used
in combination with at least one COCO transmitter.
• The wall box must have depth of at least 40 mm.
• This product is a dimmer/receiver: control lights (or other suitable devices) remotely, without
complicated wiring. You can continue to use the existing wall switch for manual operation.
• Dimming with the existing wall switch: (1) Switch on the light. (2) Quickly switch the light off and on with
the wall switch. The light intensity changes continuously. (3) Switch off the light when it reaches the
desired intensity. The most recently selected light intensity will be remembered.
• To prevent interference, avoid placing multiple products close to each other. The minimum distance
between units should be approx. 50 cm.
• The wireless system can be expanded indefinitely with other COCO remote controls and/or receivers.
• Your COCO transmitter may have a special "group" button with which you can simultaneously control
multiple receivers with different numeric codes. Repeat [7 - 8] and press the "group" button on the
transmitter during step [8].
• To delete one stored code: (1) Briefly press the connect button. (2) Press the "off" button of the code
you want to delete from the memory. (3) To confirm, the dimmer switches on and off two times.
• To delete all the stored codes (resetting the memory): (1) Hold in the search mode button. (2) The
indicator begins flashing after approx. 7 seconds. (3) Release the button. (4) Briefly press the search
mode button again. (5) To confirm, the dimmer switches on and off two times.
• If the product does not work:
- Reset the memory (see previous line) and set the code from the transmitter again (repeat [7 - 9]).
- Check whether the indicator is lit; if not, there may not be any power to the product or the electronic
fuse may have blown (in the latter case the product must be replaced).

Safety instructions
• Wa rning: Even if the product is switched off, voltage may still be present at the switched socket!
• Never use COCO products for life support systems or other applications in which equipment
malfunctions can have life-threatening consequences.
• Do not connect any lights or other equipment that consume a total of less than 40 Watts or more than
210 Watts. Connecting incorrect equipment can cause defects, a short circuit and fire.
• Only connect equipment that is suitable for dimming.
• Only connect incandescent lamps or 230 Volt halogen lamps. This product is not suitable for low-
energy light bulbs or fluorescent lighting.
• Do not connect any lights or devices that require a transformer.
• This product has an electronic fuse that automatically interrupts the power in the event of a short circuit,
overload (more than 2 A) or at a temperature above 130 °C. If this occurs, the product must be
replaced. A defective electronic fuse is not covered by the warranty.
• Do not expose this product to excessive heat, direct sunlight or moisture.
• Do not attempt to repair this product. If the product is damaged or if you are in doubt about the proper
operation, take the product back to the place of purchase.
• Do not use the product in damp areas. Clean the device with a clean cloth.
Wireless
• This product works using a radio signal that passes through walls, windows and doors. The range is
maximum 75 metres in the open air. The range indoors is strongly influenced by local conditions such
as concrete, glass and metals. On average, the indoor range is approximately 30 metres.
• New double glass often includes a thin metallic layer. This type of glazing (“HR glass”) allows most
visible light to pass through but has a negative impact on radio signals. If there is HR glass between the
transmitter and receiver, you should expect a significant reduction of the range of the wireless signal.
• This product operates at a frequency of 433.92 MHz. It complies with the essential requirements and
other conditions of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC and can be used in all EU countries.
• There may be restrictions on the use of this device outside the EU. If this device is used outside the EU,
check whether the device complies with the local directives.
