A.120 V,20 Ampere Duplex Receptacle
20 amps of currentmay be drawnfromeach halfofthe
receptacle. However,totalpowerdrawnmustbe kept within
nameplate ratings.These receptacles may be used along with
the twistlockreceptacleprovided the generator is not
overloaded.
B.120/240 V,20 Ampere Twistlock Receptacle
Amaximumof20 amps maybedrawnfromthe 120/240
voltreceptacle,provided itisthe onlyreceptacle used.
However,current mustbelimited tothe nameplaterating. If the
120/240 volt receptacleisused along withthe 120 volt
receptacle, the totalload drawn must not exceed thenameplate
ratings.
C.CircuitBreakers
The receptacles are protectedbyan AC circuit breaker.If
the generatorisoverloaded oran externalshortcircuitoccurs,
the circuitbreakerwilltrip. Ifthisoccurs,disconnect all
electricalloads and trytodetermine the cause oftheproblem
beforeattempting to use the generatoragain. If overloading
causes the circuitbreakerto trip, reduce the load.NOTE:
Continuoustrippingof thecircuitbreaker may cause
damageto generator orequipment. The circuitbreaker may
be reset by pushingthe button ofthe breaker.
Warranty Coverage: PowermateCorporation (the Company)
warrantstothe original retailcustomerinNorthAmerica thatit
willrepairor replace, free ofcharge, any partsfound by the
Company or itsauthorized servicerepresentative to be
defective in material or workmanship. This warrantycoversthe
costof replacementparts and laborfor defectsinmaterialor
workmanship.
Not Covered:
·Transportation charges forsending the producttothe
Company or itsauthorized servicerepresentative for
warrantyservice, or forshipping repaired or replacement
productsbackto the customer;thesechargesmust be
bornebythe customer.
·Engine iscovered exclusivelybya separatewarranty from
the engine manufacturer, included with the engine Manual.
·Damages causedbyabuse or accident,and the effectsof
corrosion,erosion and normal wearand tear.
·Warranty is voided ifthe customerfails to install, maintain
and operate the productinaccordance with the instructions
and recommendations ofthe Company setforth in the
owner'smanual, orif the productisused as rental
equipment.
·The Company willnotpay forrepairs oradjustments to the
product, or forany costsor labor,performed withoutthe
Company'spriorauthorization.
Warranty Period: Two(2) years fromthe date ofpurchaseon
productsused solelyfor consumer applications; ifaproductis
used for businessorcommercialapplications,the warranty
period will belimited toone (1)yearfrom thedateof purchase.
For warrantyservice, the customer mustprovide dated proof of
purchase and mustnotify the Company within the warranty
period.

CONTROLPANEL
MAJOR GENERATOR FEATURES LIMITED WARRANTY
TOOLS REQUIRED:7/16”,1/2”,9/16",and 5/8”socketsand
ratchets, block(s) ofwood(minimumof6”tall).
Referto theparts listonpage9.
WHEEL INSTALLATION
1.Blockupendofgenerator opposite the fuel tank cap to
install wheel kit.
2.Slide the axle (item35) through the wheel bracketson the
carrier,then through a wheel (item 31), with the offsetside
ofthewheelhub againstthe wheel bracket.
3. Securethe wheel tothe axlewiththeaxlecap (item 16),
tapping the cap ontothe axlewithahammer.
4.Repeat above instructions forthe remaining wheel.
FOOT INSTALLATION
1.Blocking upthe engine side of thegenerator,place the
footbracket (item27) underthe carrier channel.Thread a
5/16-18 x4” bolt (item29) with a rubberfoot (item32)
through the mounting holes and thread a5/16flange nut
(item15) tothe boltto secure the footbracketto the carrier.
Caution: Do not overtightenso that therubber foot
material collapses.
HANDLE INSTALLATION
1.Placehandle (item28) overcarriertubing on sameend as
feet,centering handle onthe carrier.
2.Slide 7/16x 2”bolt (item30) throughhandleasshown in
diagram and securewith 7/16” nyloc nut(item33).Tighten
until handleissecurelyclamped tothecarrier tubing.
3.Applyaerosolhairsprayorsimilaradhesiveto the handle
(item28),and then slide the handlegrip(item44) onto the
handle. The aerosolhairspray willallowfor easier
assemblyand will adhere the grip tothehandle.
NOTE:When using ageneratorcoverwith this portability
kit,thehandle mustbemoved to the downward position.
Yourgeneratorissupplied witha 25foot12 GA SJTW
4-conductor105ºC power cordset.Thiscord isequipped with
an L14-20Ptwistlock Plug,on one end, which willplug directly
intothe mating twistlock receptacleon the controlpanel of your
generator. The opposite end comes equipped witha special4
circuit connector comprised of four 5-20Rreceptacles.These
maybe used topower individualloads.Makesuretheloads
donot exceed the 20amp rating of thePowerCord Set.
Circuitbreakerprotectionisprovided foron the control panelof
yourgenerator.
You willnotice thatthe 4-circuit connector iscolor coded
with red and blue dots.When several loads are powered at the
same time, itisbestto keep equalloads supplied toeach
separately colored half,if possible.The red halfand the blue
half of the connectorareeach capableofsustaining20 amps of
currentprovided yourgenerator iscapable ofsupplying 4800
wattsof power.Check nameplateratingsfor total wattage
capabilityof the generator.
