from 1 CM.
ThisThermometerisa highqualityproductincorporatingthelatesttechnoiogyand
testedinaccordancewithinternationalstandards.Withitsuniquetechnoiogy,the
ThisThermometercanprovidea stable,heat-interference-freereadingwitheach
measurement.
Theinstrumentperformsa self-testeverytimeitisswitchedontoaiwaysguarantee
thespecifiedaccuracyofmeasurement.
ThisThermometerallowsa simpleandquickmeasurementofbodytempérature.
Pleasekeepinmindthat,likeanyskintempérature, thetempératureattheforehead
andtemporalareamightdifferfromthecorebodytempérature(e.g.obtainedby
rectalmeasurement).Forexamplea basicphysiologieeffectcalledvasoconstriction
canoccurintheearlystagesoffever,resultingina coolskineffect,sotherecorded
températureusinga foreheadthermometermaybesuspiciousiylow.Ifthe
measurementresuitisnotconsistentwiththepatient'sfindingorsuspiciousiylow,
repeatthemeasurementevery15minutes.

4.Thethermometerisreadyformeasurementwhen

5.Aimtheprobeatthecenteroftheobjectwithin1 cmdistance.
Ifthereiswater,dust ordirt,pleasewipethembeforehandto
improvethereadingaccuracy.

aimingtheprobe.Thedisplayareashowsthemeasured

Note:
•Patientsandthethermometershouldstayinsteady-stateroomconditionsfor atleast
30minutes beforeperforminga measurement.
•Waitatleast2 minutes betweenconsécutivemeasurementsandthethermometer
mustbeturnedoffandonagain.
•Don'ttakea measurementwhileorimmediatelyafternursinga baby.
•Don'tusethethermometerinhighhumidityenvironments.
•Patientsshouldnotdrink,eat,orexercisebefore/whiletakingthemeasurement.
•Beforeaimingtheprobe,cleanthescanarea;removedirt,hairorsweat.
•Beforeaimingtheprobeatanobject,removewater,dust ordirt.
•Don'tmovethethermometerawayfromthemeasuringareabeforehearingthetermi-
nationbeep.
•Iftheprobegetsdirtyduringorafterthemeasurement,useanalcoholswabtocare-
fullycleantheprobebeforeputtingitawayforstorage.
•AIwaystakethetempératureinthesamelocation,sincethetempératurereadings
mayvaryfromdifférentlocations.
•Inthefollowingsituations,itisrecommendedtoperforma référencemeasurement
witha commonpen-typethermometer.

2. Newborninfantsinthefirst100days.
3.Childrenunderthreeyearsofâgewitha compromisedimmuneSystemandfor
whomtheprésenceorabsenceoffeverischtical.

6.SwitchingbetweenX and°F
Thisthermometercandisplaythemeasuredtempératureineither
CelsiusorFahrenheit.
Toswitchbetween°Cand°F,turntheunitoff.PressandholdtheStart
buttonfor3 seconds.TheflashingX or°FiconisshownontheLCD.To
switchthemeasurementscale, presstheStartbuttonagain.Settings
arefinalizedafter5 secondsandthethermometerwillautomatically
enterthereadyfor measuringmode.
7. Recalling Readings in Memory Mode
Thethermometercanrecallthelast30readings.Torecallreadings,dothefollowing:
1 .PressandreleasetheStartbuttonintheoffmodetoentertheMemoryMode.
