PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and
curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the heater.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, pets or invalids and whenever the
heater is left operating unattended.
4. Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not
use your heater outdoors. Do not use near sinks, swimming pools or other damp areas such as flooded basements,
garages, etc. or anyplace where the heater could come in contact with water.
5. A heater has hot and arcing parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are
used or stored.
6. To disconnect heater, first turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet. Always unplug the heater when
not in use.
7. Always unplug heater by removing the plug end from the outlet when not in use. Never unplug by pulling on
the cord as this can damage the power cord.
8. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical
adjustment or repair.
9. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable
power strip.
10. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange
cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
11. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and
plug may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn
outlet.
12. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electrical shock or fire, or damage the heater.
13. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a
bed, where openings may become blocked.
14. Do not operate heater with any safeguards removed.
15. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
16. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation. To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a
circuit that already has other appliances working.
17. Do not use outdoors.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

ZONE HEATING SAVES!
The concept of Zone Heating is simple. Use High Efficiency heaters to heat the rooms you use most, during the
times you use these areas and turn back the thermostat to your central heating system. To achieve the
maximum benefit it is important to understand your heater and where best to locate it.
Please follow these suggestions:
1. Close doors to areas you do not wish to heat.
2. Locate a three prong outlet along an interior wall if possible. Position the heater so that the warm air
can blow unobstructed across the room towards the exterior walls.
3. Check your windows and doors for the infiltration of cold air and insulate as needed to avoid heat
loss. Rapid heat loss will minimize the effectiveness of your Infrared heater as it would any
conventional type heater.
4. Keep the area around the heater free of obstructions to insure maximum airflow. Keep electrical
cords, drapery, furniture, and other combustibles 3 feet (0.9 M) away from the front of the heater
and away from the sides.
5. Avoid locating your heater in high traffic areas or in direct sunlight.
6. Avoid locating your heater near your central heating thermostat.
LOCATING YOUR ELECTRIC FIREPLACE
Your new freestanding electric fireplace may be installed virtually anywhere in your home. However,
when choosing a location for your new electric fireplace, ensure that the general instructions are
followed. For best results, install the electric fireplace out of direct sunlight.
NOTE: This appliance comes equipped with an overheat protection safety device. Should the
appliance begin to overheat for any reason, it will automatically turn all heater functions of
the appliance off. The appliance will have to be reset prior to continuing use. To reset the
over-heatprotection safety device, turn all controls off and unplug the appliance. Wait 15
minutes, plug the appliance back in and turn on. If the appliance continuously overheats,
please call our customer service department.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
QF4714R ONLY
UNPACKING AND INSTALLING THE ELECTRICAL FIREPLACE:
1. Open the packaging carefully and remove the fireplace.
2. Remove and discard the plastic bag. Locate hardware and castor package.
WARNING: KEEP PLASTIC WRAPPING AWAY FROM CHILDREN
3. Keep the original packing for future transport and/or storage.
4. Keep the front of the unit, through which the heat is radiated, at least 3 feet / 0.9 meter away from
furniture, curtains and other flammable objects / materials at all times.
5. Ensure there is a grounded socket nearby (back of the appliance).
6. The power cord must remain at the back of the appliance and must not be in contact with any hot element.
CASTOR INSTALLATION
1. Carefully turn the fireplace on its back onto a towel to prevent any damage. See Fig 2 below.
2. Mount each castor (4) in the predrilled holes. Tighten screws. See Fig 2 below.
3. Carefully return the heater to its working position. See Fig 3 below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER
WARNING: Before servicing this heater be sure to unplug heater from wall outlet. Do
not only turn off heater from the main “ON/OFF” switch, be sure to unplug this heater.
Note: The power cord has a polarized plug (with one blade wider than the other) that will only fit in a
polarized outlet one way. If it does not insert easily try reversing the plug. If it still does not fit contact your
electrician to replace your outlet. DO NOT defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
A 15 AMP, 120 Volt, 60Hz circuit
with a properly grounded outlet is
required. The heater should be on
a dedicated circuit. Other
appliances on the same circuit
may cause the circuit breaker to
trip or the fuse to blow when the
heater is in operation. The unit
comes standard with a 6'
(1828mm) long three wire cord
exiting from the rear of the
fireplace.
WARNING: Electrical
outlet wiring must comply with
local building codes and all
other applicable regulations to
reduce the risk of fire, electrical
shock and injury.
WARNING: Do not use this
fireplace if any part of it has been
under water. Immediately call a
qualified service technician to
inspect the fireplace and replace
any part of the electrical system if
necessary.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
MAIN POWER (A):Push button “A” to turn electric fireplace on. (Ensure that the red power light “B”above
the main power button is on – this confirms that the unit is plugged in. It will turn to green when the main
power button is pushed.
•The flame effect will automatically come on when the electric fireplace is on
FAN BUTTON (C): This is a High and Low setting for the fan and the heater. Note that the fan will only come
on if the thermostat temperature is set above the room temperature. The fan light “D” denotes the Low fan
setting and the fan light “E” denotes the High setting.
TIMER (F):If a timer is desired, push button “F” once for a 1 hour timer twice for a 2 hour time, etc (up to 12
hours). The time will show on the digital readout screen. To reset, keep pushing the timer button “F” until it
returns to your desired time setting.
•Note: that the timer is approximate and extreme caution is necessary when the electric fireplace is left
operating and unattended. Keep children, invalids and pets away from the unit when in use.
TEPMERATURE INCREACE (G) DECREASE (H):This electric fireplace is equipped with a thermostat.
Press the Temperature button “G” to increase the temperature. Press the Temperature button “H” to
decrease the temperature. The electric fireplace heater and fan will only turn on if the temperature setting is
higher than the room temperature.
THE TEMPERATURE DIGITAL READOUT SCREEN (I):This screen shows the current setting of the thermostat in
Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. Use the “L” Button to adjust the setting to °C or °F.
Press the “L” button on the control panel for 3 seconds and after a short “beep” sound the display screen will
show the real room temperature for 5 seconds. It will then change back to the set temperature. The screen
will turn off after 5 minutes if there are no temperature adjustments. The temperature light “J” indicates
Fahrenheit. The temperature light “K” indicates Celsius.
•Note: The fan will continue to work for several minutes when the heater turns off. This allows the
infrared components inside the heater to cool down

REMOTE INSTRUCTIONS
TEMERATURE BUTTONS DECRESE (P) INCRESE (Q): This electric fireplace is equipped with a thermostat.
Press the Temperature button “Q” to increase the temperature. Press the Temperature button “P” to
decrease the temperature. The electric fireplace heater and fan will only turn on if the temperature setting is
higher than the room temperature.
CHILD LOCK FEATURE (R): Push button “R” once to lock the control panel functions and remote functions.
Push again to unlock.
•Note: if the Remote Control is misplaced, press the master power “A” on the control panel for 3
seconds and the controls will unlock after a short “beep” sound.
FAN BUTTON (S): This is a High and Low setting for the fan and the heater. Note that the fan will only come
on if the thermostat temperature is set above the room temperature.
CELSIUS / FAHRENHEIT BUTTON (T): Press the “T” button to change the temperature reading on display
between °C and °F.
ESO-ENERGY SAVING OPTION (U): Press button “U” once to move the temperature setting easily to 68° F (20°
degrees C). Press this button again to release the appliance from the Energy Savings Option.
•Note: Direct the remote control at the appliance from 3-15 feet distance for the remote to function
properly.
•Note: For remote control battery replacement, use Lithium Cell CR2025 3V.

This heater includes a remote control. To operate the appliance using
the remote, ensure the red power light “B” on heater control panel is
on. Each remote control is shipped with a plastic tab inserted into the
battery chamber to prevent damage and power loss. Please remove by
pulling on the tab and removing it from remote.
ON/OFF BUTTON (N): Press button “N” to turn electric fireplace on.
TIMER BUTTON (O): If a timer is desired, push button “O” once for a 1
hour timer twice for a 2 hour time, etc (up to 12 hours). The time will
show on the digital readout screen. To reset, keep pushing the timer
button “O” until it returns to your desired time setting.

SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
CLEANING:
1. To remove dust from glass window, use a clean dry cloth.
2. To remove fingerprints or other marks from glass window, use a clean damp cloth. Do not spray glass
cleaner or other liquids directly onto the window.
3. Clean metal surfaces with a clean damp cloth making sure not to push dust or debris into any air intake or
exhaust vents.
4. Periodic cleaning / vacuuming of the fan-heater unit is strongly recommended to ensure that no dirt or
foreign objects build up.
AIR FILTER CLEANING:
It is recommended to clean the air filter on the back of the electric fireplace on a regular basis. 1-2 times per
season or more depending on the amount of dust in the air. Wash in soapy water.
WARNING: BEFORE CLEANING THE EXTERIOR OF THE APPLIANCE,
DISCONNECT THE UNIT FROM THE POWER SUPPLY AND ALLOW TO COOL
FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS ON THE GLASS PANEL. DO
NOT SPRAY ANY LIQUIDS DIRECTLY ONTO ANY SURFACE OF THE UNIT.

ALWAYS Keep your electric heater clean and the filter free of dust. (If applicable)
ALWAYS Use indoors only.
NEVER Place drapes, clothing or towels over electric heater to dry.
NEVER Use in the presence of explosive or flammable vapors such as gas or paint.
NEVER Plug another electrical appliance into the same circuit. Blown fuses, tripped circuits and fire hazards
may result.
NEVER Use water or liquids to clean your electric heater.
NEVER Let bare skin touch hot surfaces as this may cause burns.
NEVER Leave electric heater unattended.
NEVER Leave electric heater un attended when children or pets are present.
NEVER Locate electric heater where it may fall into a bath tub or other water containers.
NEVER Operate electric heater with a damaged cord, plug or after the heater malfunctions, or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
NEVER Run cord under carpeting or cover with throw rugs or runners.

LIMITED WARRANTY:
A limited warranty is extended to the original purchaser of this heater and warrants against malfunction due
to manufacturing defects for a period of (1) one year from the date of retail purchase. Please read and follow
all details noted below.

This heating appliance must be operated in accordance with the written instructions furnished with this

to verify purchase date and establish warranty period. Original carton should be kept in case of warranty
return of unit.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
1. Damage caused by misuse or use contrary to the owner’s manual and safety guidelines.
2. Damage caused by a lack of normal maintenance.
3. Repair by an unauthorized person.
4. Damage caused by connection to an improper voltage.
5. Damaged caused by use outdoors.

This warranty does not imply or assume any responsibility for consequential damages that may result from the
use, misuse, or the lack of routine maintenance of this heating appliance. A cleaning fee and the cost of parts
may be charged for appliance failures resulting from lack of maintenance. This warranty does not cover claims,
which do not involve defective workmanship or materials. FAILURE TO PERFORM GENERAL MAINTENANCE
(INCLUDING CLEANING) WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS GIVEN TO THE PURCHASER IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A

7. Siempre desenchufe calentadora quitando el fin de tapón de la salida cuando no en uso. Nunca desenchufe
tirando de la cuerda como esto puede dañar el cable de alimentación.
8. No opere ninguna calentadora con una cuerda ni el tapón dañados ni después de que la calentadora falle, haya
sido dejada caer o ha sido dañada en ninguna manera. Regrese calentadora a la facilidad autorizada del servicio
para el examen, ajuste reparación eléctricos o mecánicos.
9. Siempre tape calentadoras directamente en un salida/receptáculo de pared. Nunca utilice con un alargador ni la
tira del poder de relocatable.
10. No corra cuerda bajo alfombrar. No cubra cuerda con tapetes de tiro, con los corredores, ni con cubiertas
semejantes. Arregle cuerda lejos de área de tráfico y de donde no será tropezado sobre.
11. Es normal para el tapón para sentirse tibio tocar; sin embargo, un ataque flojo entre la salida de C.A.
(receptáculo) y el tapón puede causar recalentar y deformación del tapón. Contacte a un electricista calificado para
reemplazar salida floja o gastada.
12. No inserte ni permita objetos extranjeros entrar ninguna ventilación ni el escape que abren como esto puede
causar un golpe o el fuego eléctricos, o dañar la calentadora
13. Para prevenir un fuego posible, no bloquea tomas de aire ni agota en ninguna manera. No utilice en superficies
suaves, como una cama, donde aperturas pueden llegar a ser bloqueadas.
14. No opere calentadora con cualquier medidas de protección quitado.
15. Utilice esta calentadora sólo como descrito en este manual. Cualquier otro uso no recomendado por el
fabricante puede causar el fuego, la descarga eléctrica, ni la herida a personas.
16. Esta calentadora dibuja 12,5 amperios durante operación. Para prevenir sobrecargando un circuito, no tapa la
calentadora en un circuito que ya tiene otros aparatos que trabaja.

Calefacción de Zona
El concepto de la Calefacción de Zona es sencillo. Utilice calentadoras Altas de Eficiencia para calentar los
cuartos que usted utiliza más, durante los tiempos usted utiliza estas áreas y se vuelve el termostato a su
sistema de la calefacción central. Para lograr el beneficio máximo que es importante comprender su
calentadora y donde vence situarlo.
Siga por favor estas sugerencias:
1. Las puertas cercanas a áreas usted no desea calentar.
2. Sitúe una tres salida de punta por una pared interior si es posible. Posicione la calentadora para que el
aire tibio pueda soplar libre a través del cuarto hacia las paredes exteriores.
3. Verifique sus ventanas y las puertas para la infiltración de aire frío y aísle como necesitó para evitar
pérdida de calor. La pérdida rápida del calor minimizará la eficacia de su calentadora Infrarroja como
hace calentadora convencional de tipo.
4. Mantenga el área alrededor de la calentadora libre de obstrucciones para asegurar corriente de aire
máxima. Mantenga cuerdas eléctricas, las colgaduras, los muebles, y otros combustibles 3 pies (0,9 M)
lejos de la frente de la calentadora y lejos de los lados.
5. Evite situar su calentadora en áreas altas de tráfico o en la luz directa del sol.

SITUAR SU CHIMENEA ELECTRICA

sean seguidas. Para mejores resultados, instale la chimenea eléctrica fuera de luz directa del sol.
NOTA: Este aparato viene equipado con un dispositivo de seguridad para proteger contra el
sobrecalentamiento. Si el aparato se comienza a recalantar por cualquier razón, el dispositivo apagará
automáticemente todas las funciones de calentamiento. El aparato tendrá que ser restablecido a su estado

DESEMBALAJE E INSTALACIÓN DE LA ESTUFA HOGAR ELÉCTRICA:
1. Abra el embalaje con cuidado y retire la chimenea.
2. Quite y deseche la bolsa de plástico. Busque los accesorios de ferretería y el paquete con las ruedas.
ADVERTENCIA: MANTENGA EL EMBALAJE DE PLÁSTICO LEJOS DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS
3. Conserve el embalaje original para futuros traslados y/o almacenamiento.
4. El frente de la unidad, por donde irradia el calor, debe estar al menos a 3 pies o 9 metros de distancia de los
muebles, cortinas u otros objetos o materiales inflamables en todo momento.
5. Cerciórese de que haya un tomacorriente con puesta a tierra cerca (detrás del artefacto).
6. El cable de alimentación debe permanecer detrás del artefacto y no debe estar en contacto con ningún
elemento caliente.
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS RUEDAS
1. Dé vuelta la estufa hogar cuidadosamente y apóyela sobre una toalla para evitar daños. Vea la Fig. 2 abajo.
2. Coloque cada rueda (4) en los orificios ya perforados. Ajuste los tornillos. Vea la Fig. 2 abajo.
3. Vuelva a colocar la estufa en su posición de funcionamiento normal. Vea la Fig. 3 abajo.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA ALIMENTACIÓN
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de dar servicio a este calentador, asegúrese de desenchufar el calentador de la pared.
No sólo apague el calentador de la principal "ON / OFF", asegúrese de desconectar el calentador.
Nota: El cable de alimentación tiene un enchufe polarizado (con una clavija más ancha que la otra), que sólo
entrará en un tomacorriente polarizado de una sola manera. Si no se inserta fácilmente trate de invertir el
enchufe. Si aún así no encaja llame a un electricista para reemplazar la toma de corriente. NO anule el
propósito de seguridad del enchufe polarizado.
CONEXIÓN ELÉCTRICA
A 15 amperios, 120 voltios, 60Hz
circuito con una toma de tierra es
necesaria. Preferiblemente, el
calentador se encuentre en un
circuito dedicado. Los demás
aparatos en el mismo circuito
puede causar la activación del
cortacircuitos o un fusible cuando
el calentador está en
funcionamiento. La unidad viene
con un 6 '(1828mm) de largo cable
de tres hilos que sale de la parte
trasera de la chimenea.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
Interruptor Principal de Corriente(A): Presione el botón A para encender la chimenea eléctrica. (Asegúrese que la luz
roja de corriente "B" que está sobre el interruptor maestro de corriente está encendido. Esto confirma que el aparato
está conectado. Cambiará de rojo a verde cuando se pulse el interruptor maestro de corriente)
•El efecto de llama automáticamente se encenderá cuando se encienda la chimenea eléctrica.
Botón del Ventilador (C): La luz del ventilador (D) denota la velocidad baja del ventilador, y la luz del ventilador (E)
denota la velocidad alta. La luz del ventilador (D) denota la velocidad baja del ventilador, y la luz del ventilador (E)
denota la velocidad alta.
Temporizador(F): Si se requiere usar temporizador, pulse este botón una vez para fijarlo en una hora, dos veces para 2
horas, etc. (hasta 12 horas). El tiempo se mostrará en la pantalla digital. Para restablecerlo, siga pulsando el botón del
temporizador (F) hasta que regrese a la cantidad de tiempo que desee.
•Tenga en cuenta que el temporizador es aproximado y es necesario tener cuidado extremo cuando se deje la
chimenea eléctrica encendida sin supervisión. Mantenga a los niños, los inválidos y las mascotas alejados de la
unidad mientras esté en uso.
Botones de Temperatura - Aumentar (G) y Disminuir (H) Esta chimenea eléctrica está equipada con un termostato.
Presione el botón de temperatura (G) para subir la temperatura. Presione el botón de temperatura (H) para disminuir la
temperatura. (El calentador y el ventilador de la chimenea eléctrica solo se encenderán si la temperatura está fijada por
encima de la temperatura ambiente).
La pantalla de lectura digital (I): This screen shows the current setting of the thermostat in Celsius or Fahrenheit
degrees. Use the “L” Button to adjust the setting to °C or °F.
Presione el botón "°C/°F" (L) del panel de control por 3 segundos, y luego de un pitido corto, la pantalla mostrará la
temperatura ambiente real por 5 segundos. Esta pantalla se apagará después de 5 minutos si no hay ajustes en la
temperatura. La luz de la temperatura (J) indica que la lectura digital está en Fahrenheit y la luz de temperatura (K)
indica que está en Celsius.
•NOTA: El ventilador continuará funcionando por varios minutos cuando se apague el calentador. Esto le permite
