RULES FOR USE
1. POSITION OF ELECTRODES
For optimum results, use the recommended electrode positions.
A different electrode must be connected to each end of the cable.
N.B. It is occasionally the case that large dual-connection electrodes are used in such a way that a
connection is not made.
It is important to select appropriately sized electrodes (small or large) and to position them correctly
on the muscle group that you wish to stimulate in order to ensure effective treatment. It is therefore
appropriate to always use the electrode size shown in the illustration. If necessary, try to find the best
position possible by moving the electrode on the muscle, until you locate the point that produces the best
contraction, or the greatest comfort is found.
For TENS type programmes, the general rule is to cover the painful area with electrodes.
N.B. Approximate positioning of electrodes makes the session less effective, but is not dangerous.
2. BODY POSITION DURING STIMULATION
This position varies according to the muscle group that you wish to stimulate and the programme that
you are using.
For programmes inducing powerful muscular contractions (tetanic contractions), it is recommended to
stimulate the muscle isometrically. You should therefore hold the extremities of limbs being stimulated.
This position opposes maximum resistance to movement and avoids any shortening of the muscle during
contraction, which would risk causing cramps. For example, when stimulating the quadriceps, you should
be in a sitting position with ankles held to avoid extending the knees.
For the other types of programmes which do not induce powerful muscular contractions but only
muscular twitches or tingling, position yourself as shown on the illustration, maintaining a comfortable
position.

3. ADJUSTING STIMULATION INTENSITIES
On a stimulated muscle, the number of fibres used depends on the stimulation intensity.
For programmes inducing powerful muscular contractions (tetanic contractions), you must use the
maximum stimulation intensities (up to 999) while remaining within your tolerance threshold, in order to
use the maximum number of fibres. The progress of a muscle will be greater the higher number of fibres
that are worked. During a session it is therefore important to try to increase the intensity every 3 to 5
contractions.
For other types of programmes like recovery, massage, capillarisation or even muscle pain which only
induce muscle twitches, you should gradually increase the stimulation intensities until clearly visible
muscle twitches are obtained.
For TENS, Epicondylitis and Tendinitis programmes, you should gradually increase the intensities until you
feel a tingling sensation under the electrodes.
4. PROGRESSION OF STIMULATION CYCLES
It is recommended to start with the 1st cycle and progress to the next level when the cycle is complete,
normally after 4 to 6 weeks of stimulation based on 3 sessions per week. It is also important to have
reached significant stimulation intensities in sessions before going on to another cycle.
At the end of the cycle you can either start a new cycle or do maintenance training based on one session
per week.

2. CONNECTING THE CABLES
N.B. The MI-sensor cable (if available with the device) can be connected to any socket on the stimulator.
3. LANGUAGE, CONTRAST AND VOLUME SELECTION
BPress the +/- button of channel 1 to select the language to be used.
CPress the +/- button of channel 2 to adjust screen contrast.
DPress the +/- button of channel 3 to adjust the volume.
EPress the +/- button of channel 4 to adjust the backlighting.
APress the on/off button to confirm and save your selections. Settings are immediately applied.
This options screen can then be displayed by switching the device off and by pressing and holding the on/off
button for over 2 seconds.

4. CHOOSING A CATEGORY
N.B. The following screens are generic examples but they work in the same way regardless of the device that
you have.
APress the on/off button to switch the device off.
BPress the +/- button of channel 1 to select a category.
EPress the +/- button of channel 4 to confirm your selection.
5. SELECTING A PROGRAMME
APress the on/off button to return to the previous screen.
BPress the +/- button of channel 1 to select a programme.
EPress the +/- button of channel 4 to confirm the selection and start the stimulation session.
N.B. After selecting a programme an additional screen may appear requesting the programme cycle to
be selected. In either case, select the 1st cycle and then press the +/- button of channel 4 to confirm the
selection and start the stimulation session.

6. LAUNCHING A PROGRAMME
N.B. If the MI-sensor cable is connected, the MI-scan test starts immediately after the programme is
selected. At the end of the test, intensities must be increased to start the programme.
APress the on/off button to switch the device into Pause mode.
BCDE The four channels flash, going from + to 000. The stimulation intensity must be increased to be able to
start stimulation. For this, press the + buttons of the relevant channels until the desired setting is reached.
7. END OF A PROGRAMME
ATo stop the stimulator, press the on/off button.

REGLE D’UTILISATION
1. POSITIONNEMENT DES ÉLECTRODES
Pour un résultat optimal, utiliser les positions des électrodes recommandées.
Une électrode différente doit être connectée à chaque extrémité du câble.
N.B. : Il est possible et normal que les grandes électrodes à double connexions soient utilisées de sorte
qu’une connexion ne soit pas raccordée.
Il est important de choisir des électrodes de taille appropriée (petite ou grande) et de les positionner
correctement sur le groupe musculaire que vous souhaitez stimuler afin d’assurer l’efficacité du
traitement. Il convient par conséquent de toujours utiliser la taille d’électrode indiquée sur l’illustration.
Si nécessaire, rechercher la meilleure position possible en déplaçant l’électrode sur le muscle, jusqu’à
trouver le point qui produira la meilleure contraction ou le plus grand confort.
Pour les programmes de type TENS la règle à suivre et de recouvrir la zone douloureuse avec les
électrodes.
N.B. : Un positionnement d’électrodes approximatif rend la séance moins efficace, mais reste sans
danger.
2. POSITION DU CORPS DURANT LA STIMULATION
Cette position varie selon le groupe musculaire que vous souhaitez stimuler et le programme que vous
utilisez.
Pour les programmes induisant de puissantes contractions musculaires (contractions tétaniques), il est
recommandé de stimuler le muscle de manière isométrique. Vous devez par conséquent maintenir les
extrémités des membres stimulés. Cette position permet d’opposer une résistance maximale au mouvement
et d’éviter tout raccourcissement du muscle pendant la contraction, qui risquerait d’entraîner l’apparition
de crampes. Par exemple, lors de la stimulation du quadriceps, vous devez être en position assise avec les
chevilles maintenues pour éviter l’extension des genoux.
Pour les autres types de programmes qui n’induisent pas de puissantes contractions musculaires mais
uniquement des battements musculaires ou des fourmillements, positionnez vous comme indiqué sur
l’illustration mais dans tous les cas de manière confortable.

3. AJUSTEMENT DES INTENSITÉS DE STIMULATION
Sur un muscle stimulé, le nombre de fibres recrutées dépend de l’intensité de stimulation.
Pour les programmes induisant de puissantes contractions musculaires (contractions tétaniques), il faut
absolument utiliser des intensités de stimulation maximales (jusqu’à 999) toujours à la limite de ce que
vous pouvez supporter, afin de recruter un nombre maximal de fibres. Le progrès d’un muscle sera
d’autant plus important qu’un nombre élevé de ses fibres travaille. Durant la séance il est donc important
d’essayer d’augmenter l’intensité toutes les 3 à 5 contractions.
Pour les autres types de programmes type récupération, massage, capillarisation ou encore douleur
musculaire qui n’induisent que des battements musculaires vous devez progressivement augmenter les
intensités de stimulation jusqu’à obtenir des battements musculaires bien visibles.
Pour les programmes type TENS, Epicondylite, Tendinites vous devez progressivement augmenter les
intensités jusqu’à ressentir un fourmillement sous les électrodes.
4. PROGRESSION DES CYCLES DE STIMULATION
Il est recommandé de débuter par le 1er cycle et de passer au niveau suivant quand le cycle est terminé,
normalement après 4 à 6 semaines de stimulation à raison de 3 séances par semaine. Il est aussi
important d’avoir atteint des intensités de stimulation significatives lors des séances avant de passer à un
autre cycle.
A la fin d’un cycle vous pouvez soit débuter un nouveau cycle soit réaliser un entretien à raison d’une
séance par semaine.

pendant plus de 2 secondes.

N.B. : les écrans suivants sont des exemples génériques mais leur fonctionnement est identique peu importe
l’appareil que vous possédez.
AAppuyer sur le bouton on/off pour éteindre l’appareil.
BAppuyer sur le bouton +/- du canal 1 pour choisir une catégorie.
EAppuyer sur le bouton +/- du canal 4 pour confirmer votre choix.
5. SÉLECTION D’UN PROGRAMME
AAppuyer sur le bouton on/off pour revenir à l’écran précédent.
BAppuyer sur le bouton +/- du canal 1 pour choisir un programme.
EAppuyer sur le bouton +/- du canal 4 pour valider la sélection et commencer la séance de stimulation.
N.B. : Après la sélection d’un programme il se peut qu’un écran supplémentaire apparaisse demandant de
choisir le cycle du programme. Dans tous les cas choisir le 1er cycle puis appuyer sur le bouton +/- du canal
4 pour valider la sélection et commencer la séance de stimulation.

6. LANCEMENT D’UN PROGRAMME
N.B. : Si le câble MI-sensor est connecté le test MI-scan débute immédiatement après la sélection du
programme. A la fin du test, il faut monter les intensités pour débuter le programme.
AAppuyer sur le bouton on/off pour mettre l’appareil en mode Pause.
BCDE Les quatre canaux clignotent, passant de + à 000. L’intensité de stimulation doit être augmentée afin
de pouvoir commencer la stimulation. Pour cela, appuyer sur les boutons + des canaux concernés jusqu’au
réglage souhaité.
7. FIN D’UN PROGRAMME
APour arrêter le stimulateur, appuyer sur le bouton on/off.

REGELN ZUR NUTZUNG
1. ANORDNUNG DER ELEKTRODEN
Verwenden Sie zum Erzielen optimaler Ergebnisse die in der Beschreibung empfohlenen Elektroden.
An jedem Kabelende muss eine Elektrode angeschlossen werden.
Hinweis: Es kann vorkommen, dass große Doppelanschlusselektroden so verwendet werden, dass nur
ein Anschluss verwendet wird.
Es ist wichtig, Elektroden der richtigen Größe auszuwählen (klein oder groß) und diese korrekt auf
der Muskelgruppe zu positionieren, die Sie stimulieren möchten, um eine effektive Behandlung zu
gewährleisten. Es ist daher angebracht, immer die in der Abbildung dargestellte Elektrodengröße zu
verwenden. Versuchen Sie ggf. die bestmögliche Position zu finden, indem Sie die Elektrode auf dem
Muskel verschieben, bis Sie den Punkt gefunden haben, der die beste Kontraktion bewirkt, oder an dem
Sie den meisten Komfort verspüren.
Für TENS-ähnliche Programme gilt die allgemeine Regel, den schmerzenden Bereich mit Elektroden
abzudecken.
Die nicht genaue Positionierung der Elektroden macht die Sitzung zwar weniger effektiv, sie ist aber nicht
gefährlich.
2. KÖRPERPOSITION WÄHREND DER STIMULATION
Diese Position ist abhängig von der Muskelgruppe, die stimuliert werden soll, und des verwendeten
Programms.
Bei Programmen, die starke Muskelkontraktionen auslösen (tetanische Kontraktionen), wird empfohlen,
den Muskel isometrisch zu stimulieren. Sie sollten daher für eine stabile Position der stimulierten
Körperzone sorgen. Durch diese Position wird der Bewegung der maximale Widerstand entgegengesetzt,
um die Verkürzung des Muskels während der Kontraktion zu vermeiden. Sollten Sie dies nicht beachten,
kann es in Einzelfällen zu Krämpfen kommen. Wenn Sie beispielsweise den Quadrizeps stimulieren,
sollten Sie eine sitzende Position einnehmen, wobei die Knöchel stabil gehalten werden, damit die Knie
nicht gestreckt werden können.
Bei anderen Programmtypen, die keine starken Muskelkontraktionen sondern lediglich Muskelzuckungen
oder -kribbeln hervorrufen, sollten Sie, wie in der Abbildung dargestellt, eine bequeme Position
einnehmen.
