USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The
outer surface of the dryer should be wiped
clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not oper-
ate properly, return it for repair to an authorized
Conair service representative only. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrench the line cord or wrap it around
the dryer. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose
and straight at the point of entry into the dryer.
LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace, at our option,
your appliance free of charge for 24 months
from the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service centre
listed below, together with your sales slip and
$7.50 for postage and handling. In the
absence of a receipt, the warranty period shall
be 24 months from the date of manufacture.

L’UTILISATEUR
Le sèche-cheveux ne demande pratiquement
aucun entretien. Pour assurer un bon
fonctionnement, le sèche-cheveux doit être
tenu propre. Si vous devez le nettoyer,
débranchez-le, puis enlevez la poussière ou
les peluches des évents avec la petite brosse
d’un aspirateur. La surface extérieure du
sèche-cheveux ne devrait qu’être essuyée
avec un linge humide.
Les évents obstrués feront surchauffer le
sèche-cheveux. S’il surchauffe, un dispositif de
sécurité éteindra automatiquement le
sèche-cheveux ou la chaleur pour éviter tout
dommage ou blessure. Si cela se produit,
débrancher le cordon et laisser le
sèche-cheveux refroidir 10 à 15 minutes avant
de le réutiliser. S’assurer que les évents sont
bien propres.
MISE EN GARDE
Ne JAMAIS tirer, tordre ni plier fortement le
cordon. Ne jamais enrouler le cordon autour
du sèche-cheveux. On risque de
l’endommager au point d’entrée dans
le sèche-cheveux, occasionnant ainsi un bris
ou un court-circuit. Cesser d’utiliser le
sèche-cheveux s’il fonctionne mal ou de
façon intermittente. Si le cordon ou le
sèche-cheveux est endommagé ou ne
fonctionne pas correctement, le renvoyer au
service agréé Conair où on le réparera. Le
consommateur ne devrait jamais tenter de le
réparer lui-même.
RANGEMENT - Important
Quand on ne l’utilise pas, débrancher le

hors de la portée des enfants. Ne pas
enrouler le cordon autour du sèche-
cheveux. Le laisser pendre ou reposer
lâchement, bien droit au point de sortie du

this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.

Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair right
with superior quality shampoos, conditioners,
and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blot
hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
2. The ion generator emits clouds of negatively
charged ions which will help to reduce static
electricity, control frizzy flyaways and contribute
to your hair’s shine.
3. If you use the dryer with a styling brush
(the professional way to style and dry at the
same time), brush each strand from under-
neath as you direct hot air to top of strand,
always moving slowly and steadily up and
down each strand. This way, you’ll be aiming
heat at your hair, not at your scalp.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
mist hair to dampen it before styling with dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and

Une belle coiffure commence par une bonne
coupe, bien entretenue. Toujours bien traiter
ses cheveux avec des shampooings, des
revitalisants et des produits de coiffure de
qualité supérieure.
PRINCIPES DE BASE
1. Faire un shampooing et revitaliser les
cheveux avec les produits de son choix.
Éponger avec une serviette pour enlever
l’excédent d’humidité puis séparer les
cheveux.
2. Le générateur d’ions émet des ions à
charge négative qui aident à réduire l’électro-
statique, contrôler les frisettes et donner du
lustre aux cheveux.
3. Si on utilise le sèche-cheveux avec une
brosse à coiffer (comme le font les profession-
nels), brosser chaque couette par le dessous
tout en dirigeant le jet d’air chaud sur le dessus,
déplaçant l’appareil constamment dans un
mouvement lent. Ainsi, l’air chaud est toujours
dirigé sur les cheveux et non le cuir chevelu.
4. Pour une retouche rapide entre
shampooings, humidifier les cheveux avant de
les coiffer avec le sèche-cheveux.
5. Quand on utilise le sèche-cheveux pour fri-
ser ou onduler, sécher les cheveux presque
entièrement à chaleur faible puis finir la coiffure
avec le jet d’air frais pour donner aux cheveux
un fini parfait et lustré.

coupe, bien entretenue. Toujours bien traiter
ses cheveux avec des shampooings, des
revitalisants et des produits de coiffure de
qualité supérieure.
PRINCIPES DE BASE
1. Faire un shampooing et revitaliser les
cheveux avec les produits de son choix.
Éponger avec une serviette pour enlever
l’excédent d’humidité puis séparer les
cheveux.
2. Le générateur d’ions émet des ions à
charge négative qui aident à réduire l’électro-
statique, contrôler les frisettes et donner du
lustre aux cheveux.
3. Si on utilise le sèche-cheveux avec une
brosse à coiffer (comme le font les profession-
nels), brosser chaque couette par le dessous
tout en dirigeant le jet d’air chaud sur le dessus,
déplaçant l’appareil constamment dans un
mouvement lent. Ainsi, l’air chaud est toujours

4. Pour une retouche rapide entre

USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The
outer surface of the dryer should be wiped
clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use

stops or operates intermittently.

USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The
outer surface of the dryer should be wiped
clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not oper-
ate properly, return it for repair to an authorized
Conair service representative only. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrench the line cord or wrap it around
the dryer. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose

aucun entretien. Pour assurer un bon
fonctionnement, le sèche-cheveux doit être
tenu propre. Si vous devez le nettoyer,
débranchez-le, puis enlevez la poussière ou
les peluches des évents avec la petite brosse
d’un aspirateur. La surface extérieure du
sèche-cheveux ne devrait qu’être essuyée
avec un linge humide.
Les évents obstrués feront surchauffer le
sèche-cheveux. S’il surchauffe, un dispositif de
sécurité éteindra automatiquement le
sèche-cheveux ou la chaleur pour éviter tout
dommage ou blessure. Si cela se produit,
débrancher le cordon et laisser le
sèche-cheveux refroidir 10 à 15 minutes avant
de le réutiliser. S’assurer que les évents sont
bien propres.
MISE EN GARDE
Ne JAMAIS tirer, tordre ni plier fortement le
