Advances display thr ugh the st pwatch functi ns.
OPERATION
Entering Timing Modes
1. Pressing the MODE butt n will advance the screen thr ugh the seven
functi ns f the st pwatch.
2. Repeatedly pressing the m de butt n scr lls thr ugh the functi ns in the
f ll wing rder: St pwatch (Chr n), Speed, Str ke, Time/Calendar, Alarm,
Pacer and Timer. With the excepti n f the Time/Calendar m de, an
identifying screen that displays f r 2 sec nds precedes each f m des.
Clearing the dis lay
The RESET / LAP SPLIT butt n will clear the f ll wing displays:
1. St pwatch – resets the timer t zer
2. Speed – resets the timer t zer
3. Str ke – resets the timer value t 2400.0
4. Pacer – starts and st ps pacer functi n
5. Timer – after timer is st pped, will reset the timer t set value
Clock O eration/Setting Time-of-Day & Date
1. Press the MODE butt n t cycle thr ugh the displays until Time/Calendar
display is reached.
2. H ld the RECALL butt n f r 2 sec nds, a beep will s und and the AM/PM
ic n and h ur digit will flash.
3. The RESET/LAP SPLIT butt n will cycle thr ugh the Time/Calendar display
in the f ll wing rder: h urs, minutes, sec nds, year, m nth and day.
4. While in each f the ab ve time measurements, each press f the
START/STOP butt n will advance ne increment at a time, h lding the
START/STOP butt n d wn enables rapid advancement.
5. The “day f the week” feature will update aut matically as the year, m nth
and day are changed.
6. Save the set time and calendar reading by pressing RECALL. The display
will st p flashing.
Daily Alarm O erations
1. Press the MODE butt n t cycle thr ugh the displays t the Alarm display.
2. H ld d wn the RECALL butt n f r 2 sec nds, a beep will s und and the
AM/PM ic n and h ur digit f the alarm display will flash.
3. Press the START/STOP butt n t advance the h urly setting f the alarm.
An “A” r “P” will be displayed indicating AM r PM alarm time.
4. Press RESET t advance the minute.
5. Press START/STOP t advance the digits.
6. Press RECALL t set alarm.
7. Press the RESET/LAP SPLIT butt n f r 2 sec nds t t ggle the alarm ic n
n and ff. The (((•))) ic n indicates alarm is n.
8. When the alarm time is reached an audible alarm will s und f r 30
sec nds, r may be manually silenced by pressing the RESET/LAP SPLIT
butt n.
Pacer O eration
1. Press the MODE butt n t cycle thr ugh the display m des t the Pacer
display. The last value set will be displayed n the screen.
2. Pressing the RESET/LAP SPLIT butt n will advance thr ugh the pacer
values. The Pacer timer may be set at the f ll wing values: 5, 10, 20, 30,
40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 110, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200 and 240. These values
represent c unts per minute (i.e., Pacer Value 20 = 20 beeps per minute)
3. Press the START/STOP butt n t start the pacer timer. The flashing
PACER ic n under the timer value indicates the timer is activated. An
audible alarm will s und representing the set pacer value.
4. The pacer values can be changed while the timer is in perati n. The pacer
alarm will change acc rdingly.
5. Pressing the START/STOP butt n will turn ff the pacer timer.
Timer - Countdown/Count u Mode
1. Press t MODE butt n t cycle thr ugh the display m des t the Timer
display.
2. H ld d wn the RESET/LAP SPLIT butt n f r 2 sec nds, a beep will s und
and the timer will t ggle between c untd wn/c untup m de (TIMER) and
repeat c untd wn m de (TIMER).
3. T set c untd wn/c untup m de, t ggle t the TIMER ic n.
4. The t p line f the 2-line display represents the time set value. The
maximum setting f r this m de is 9 h urs, 59 minutes and 59 sec nds.
5. T set the time value h ld the RECALL butt n f r 2 sec nds. A beep will
s und and the h urly time increment will flash. Pressing the RESET/ LAP
SPLIT butt n will scr ll thr ugh each time increment in the f ll wing rder:
h urs, minutes and sec nds.
6. Each press f the START/STOP butt n will advance ne increment at a
time, h lding d wn the START/STOP butt n enables rapid advancement.
7. Press the RECALL butt n t l ck in the c untd wn value.
8. Press the START/STOP butt n, timing will begin and the timer ic n will
sh w an arr w p inting d wn indicating c untd wn m de.
9. If a pause in the timing perati n is required press the START/STOP
butt n t “freeze” the display at the current reading (time- ut). T resume
time at the p int it was st pped, press the START/STOP butt n again
(time-in). An unlimited number f time uts may be taken.
10. When the set c untd wn time value has been reached, a 30-sec nd alarm
will s und. The alarm and timer can be manually st pped by pressing the
START/STOP butt n. Pressing the RECALL r RESET/LAP SPLIT will
silence the alarm and all w c ntinued timing.
11. The TIMER ic n will display indicating the c unt up m de. The timer will
sh w time passed since alarm time and will c ntinue timing t 9 h urs, 59
minutes and 59 sec nds.
Timer - Re eat Countdown Mode
1. With the display in timer m de, h ld d wn the RESET/LAP SPLIT butt n
f r 2 sec nds. A beep will s und and the Repeat C unter display (00) will
appear in the upper left c rner f the display. The TIMER ic n at the
b tt m f the screen indicates repeat c untd wn m de.
2. T set the time value h ld the RECALL butt n f r 2 sec nds. A beep will
s und and the h urly time increment will flash. Pressing the RESET/ LAP
SPLIT butt n will scr ll thr ugh each time increment in the f ll wing rder:
h urs, minutes and sec nds.
3. Each press f the START/STOP butt n will advance ne increment at a
time. H lding d wn the START/STOP butt n enables rapid advancement.
4. Press the RECALL butt n t l ck in the c untd wn value.
5. Pressing the START/STOP butt n will begin the c untd wn. T st p the
c untd wn, press the START/STOP butt n and the STOP ic n will appear
t the left f the c untd wn line.
6. If a pause in the timing perati n is required, press the START/STOP
butt n t “freeze” the display at the current reading (time- ut). T resume
time at the p int it was st pped, press the START/STOP butt n again
(time-in). An unlimited number f time uts may be taken.
7. An alarm will s und f r 3 sec nds when the set timer value has been
reached and the display will return t the set time value.
8. The repeat m de all ws c ntinu us timing f the set timer value. The
repeat c unter will sh w the number f times that the set timer value has
been reached. The c unter can rec rd up t 99 laps.
Single Action Timing
1. Press the MODE butt n t advance the display t the st pwatch m de
indicated by the CHRON screen.
NOTE: If there is a measured time event sh wing n the SPEED display, the
CHRON st pwatch m de will n t be displayed. The SPEED display must be
reset t zer t use the st pwatch functi ns.
2. This CHRON screen c nsists f a 3-line display indicating split timing n
the t p line, lap timing n the middle line, and st pwatch timing n the
b tt m line.
3. Press RESET t set the c unter t zer .
4. The START/STOP butt n will begin st pwatch timing.

5. If a pause in the c untd wn r c untup timing perati n is required press
the START/STOP butt n t “freeze” the display at the current reading
(time- ut). T resume time at the p int it was st pped, press the
START/STOP butt n again. An unlimited number f time uts may be
taken.
Cumulative and La /S lit
Cumulative split time measures partial times while the st pwatch c ntinues t
measure t tal elapsed time. Lap/Split time measures each r und f timing
(n ncumulative).
1. Timing o eration
i. H ld the RESET butt n f r 2 sec nds, a beep will s und and all 3 lines n
display will reset t zer .
ii. Press the START/STOP butt n t start timing. The b tt m line n display
will begin timer perati n.
iii. Press the LAP/SPLIT butt n t rec rd Lap 1 n the st pwatch. (001) will
display at the upper left f the screen. The cumulative time will sh w n the
t p line f the display. The time length f Lap 1 will sh w n the middle line
f the display. The b tt m line f the display will c ntinue n rmal timing
perati ns.
iv. Each press f the LAP/SPLIT butt n will rec rd and display the next
successi n f laps. A t tal f 300 lap/split times can be entered int the
st pwatch mem ry.
v. Press the START/STOP butt n when the timing event is c mpleted.
2. La /S lit Memory Function
After the timer has been st pped and the event is c mplete, vari us mem ry
functi ns can be recalled.
i. Press the RECALL butt n, the w rd RECALL will appear under the lap
c unter at the upper left f the display.
ii. With each press f the RECALL butt n vari us st red data will be
displayed and the data inf rmati n named under the timer c unter.
iii. The vari us mem ry functi ns are listed bel w in the sequence they
appear:
Fastest Timed Lap - FAST appears under the lap c unter, the number f the
fastest lap appears in the c unter, the lap time sh ws n the middle line f
display and the t p line sh ws the cumulative time f the lap.
Sl west Timed Lap - SLOW appears under the lap c unter, and as stated ab ve,
the display sh ws the rec rded time f the sl west lap – lap number, lap time
and cumulative time.
Averaged Timed Lap - AVG appears under the lap c unter, the lap c unter will
display the number f laps rec rded in the Rec rded Lap/Split Times.
Rec rded Lap/Split Times –(001), (002), etc.
Each lap time data will be sh wn in the rder in which they were rec rded. The
lap c unter will sh w the lap number, t p line displays the cumulative time and
the middle line sh ws the lap time.
3. To clear the memory ress the MODE button, Recall will no longer be
dis layed, then ress RESET.
S eed Mode
1. Press the MODE butt n t advance the display t the speed m de.
NOTE: The unit is “per h ur” theref re speed = set distance x 3600
sec nds. The maximum display f speed is 9999.999, if any calculated
speed is ver this value, Err r will sh w in the middle r w and speed value
will n t be st red int mem ry.
2. Press and h ld the RECALL butt n f r 2 sec nds until Km is flashing.
3. Press the RESET butt n t m ve t the t p line f the display, which is
distance. C ntinuing t press m ves the blinking digit.
4. Press the START/STOP butt n t advance digits t the c rrect distance.
Press RECALL t c nfirm the entry.
5. Press the START/STOP t begin timing.
6. Press the LAPSPLIT f r the laps.
7. Recalling mem ry in speed m de:
i. When the st pwatch is st pped; the f ll wing will sh w with each
press f the RECALL butt n. (t p r w = LAP, middle r w = SPEED,
b tt m r w = TOTAL TIME). Fastest speed/lap, sl west speed/lap,
average speed/lap and then each speed/lap st red in mem ry.
ii. When the st pwatch is running; the same is displayed except that the
time c ntinues t run n the b tt m r w.
Stroke/Frequency Measuring Mode
This m de calculates frequency by taking 3 str kes (cycles) within a time peri d
and then calculating the expected number f cycles if that acti n is c ntinued f r
1 minute.
1. Press MODE butt n t sh w the Str ke /Frequency Measuring Display.
2. Start the measurement by pressing the START/ STOP butt n. Then press
the START/STOP butt n after the third str ke is made. The number f
str kes per minute will be displayed n the l wer r w, while the
measurement time will sh w n the upper r w.
NOTES
1. Pressing the START/STOP butt n faster than 1/8 sec nd (0.125 sec) will
cause an Err r t display indicating the verfl w f the sh wable value.
2. Pressing the START/STOP butt n l nger than 18 sec nds will cause an
Err r t display which indicates the time peri d is t l ng.
3. Pressing the RESET butt n while the measurement is st pped r while an
Err r is sh wn, causes the digits t be reset t 2400.
ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this unit d es n t functi n pr perly f r any reas n, replace the battery with a
new high-quality battery (see “Battery Replacement” secti n). L w battery p wer
can ccasi nally cause any number f “apparent” perati nal difficulties.
Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will s lve m st difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
An indicati n that the battery must be replaced w uld be erratic readings, a faint
display, n display, r if all ic ns/digits f the display are highlighted. Rem ve the
screws n the back f the unit and rem ve the back c ver. Rem ve the screw
h lding the battery bracket in place. Rem ve the exhausted battery and replace
with a new battery. Secure the battery bracket int place, replace the back f the
unit and replace and tighten screws. Replacement battery Cat. N . 1005
