Mit der Reedition des „Farmer Chair“ legt COR einen Klassiker aus den 1960ern neu auf. Natür-
liche Materialien in hochwertiger Verarbeitung würdigen das schlicht geniale Design dieses Ever-
greens zum Wohnen mit und in der Natur.
Das von Gerd Lange 1965 entwickelte Konzept eines vielfältig einsetzbaren Sitzmöbels überzeugt
durch zeitlose Schlichtheit und ein geniales Konstruktionsprinzip. Der Farmer Chair besteht aus
acht Massivholz-Leisten, vier quadratischen Füßen, zwei Metallklammern und zwei über Kreuz ge-
legten Stoffbahnen. Er ist leicht, dennoch stabil und langlebig. Seine Formensprache ist puristisch,
sogar minimalistisch und signifikant für das Gesamtwerk des heute 90jährigen Designers.
Massives, nur mit Öl behandeltes Holz aus kontrollierten Forsten, wetterfester Stoff aus Baumwol-
le und recyceltem PET Material, gefertigt im COR Werk in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, nachhaltiger lässt
es sich kaum produzieren. Mit diesem Möbel zu leben ist stets eine Frage der Haltung.
With the re-edition of the „Farmer Chair“, COR is - a classic from the 1960s. Natural materials in
high-quality workmanship pay tribute to the simply ingenious design of this evergreen for living with
and in nature.
The concept of a versatile piece of seating furniture developed by Gerd Lange in 1965 impresses
with its timeless simplicity and an ingenious design principle. The Farmer Chair consists of eight
solid wood slats, four square legs, two metal clips and two fabric panels laid crosswise. It is light,
yet stable and durable. Its design language is purist, even minimalist, and significant for the oeuvre
of the now 90-year-old designer.
Solid wood from controlled forests, treated only with oil, weatherproof fabric made of cotton and
recycled PET material, manufactured in the COR factory in Rheda-Wiedenbrück - it would be hard
to produce anything more sustainable than this. Living with this furniture is always a question of
attitude.

ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
Der Farmer Sessel und Tisch werden in Einzelteilen mit vormontierten Gleitern in einem wieder-
verwendbaren Karton geliefert. Der Zusammenbau sollte auf einem sauberen, weichen Untergrund
erfolgen und kann von einer Person vorgenommen werden.
• Benötigte Werkzeuge für die Montage: Inbusschlüssel (mitgeliefert).
• Bei der Fixierung des Rückenscharniers vom Sessel zeichnen sich auf der Unterseite der Arm-
lehnleisten kleine Riefen/Rillen ab. Diese sind konstruktionsbedingt und sind kein Qualitätsman-
gel. Achten Sie beim erneuten Aufbau des Sessels darauf, dass Sie immer die gleichen Armleh-
nenleisten (mit den Riefen nach unten) verwenden. So sind die Riefen im normalen Gebrauch
des Sessels nicht sichtbar.
• Da der Farmer Sessel und Tisch aus massivem Eschenholz gefertigt werden, sind diese nicht im
nassen und gequelltem Zustand auseinanderbaubar. Stellen Sie den gequellten Sessel/Tisch in
einen normal temperierten, trockenen Raum, um das Gestell langsam trocknen zu lassen und
nach einiger Zeit wieder auseinanderbauen zu können.
• Die Beweglichkeit der Holzgestelle ist witterungsbedingt unterschiedlich - von fest bis locker (je
nach Jahreszeit und Feuchtigkeit). Empfehlung: Stellen Sie den Farmer Sessel und Tisch außer-
halb des Hauses geschützt vor Witterung unter ein Abdach oder Ähnliches.
• Sämtliche Materialien sind für den Outdoor-Bereich einsetzbar. Die Holzteile sind mit einer ent-
sprechenden Oberfläche beschichtet, der Stoff und die Kordeln bestehen aus witterungsbestän-
digen PA-Fasern, der Kordelstopper ist verzinkt und die Metallteile (Pos. 4-6) sind aus rostfreiem
Edelstahl gefertigt.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Der Sessel darf mit einer maximalen Last von 120 kg belastet werden.
• Der Sessel darf nur im verschnürten Zustand verwendet werden, sonst besteht Verletzungsgefahr.
• Stellen Sie sich nicht auf die Stoffbespannung des Sessels.
• Der Tisch darf mit einer maximalen Last von 30 kg belastet werden.
• Nutzen Sie Sessel und Tisch nicht als Leiterersatz oder Ähnliches.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Farmer chair and table are delivered in individual parts with pre-assembled glides in a reu-
sable cardboard box. Assembly should be done on a clean, soft surface and can be carried out by
one person.
• Tools required for assembly: Allen key (supplied).
• When attaching the back hinge of the chair, small grooves/ridges appear on the underside of the
armrest slats. These are design-related and not a quality defect. When reassembling the chair,
make sure that you always use the same armrest slats (with the grooves facing downwards). This
way the grooves are not visible in the normal use of the chair.
• As the Farmer chair and table are made of solid ash wood, they cannot be disassembled when
wet and soaked. Place the soaked chair/table in a dry room at a normal temperature to allow the
frame to dry slowly and then wait for some time before disassembling it.
• The mobility of the wooden frames varies depending on the weather – from firm to loose (depen-
ding on the season and humidity). Recommendation: Outside the house, place the Farmer chair
and table under a roof or similar to protect them from the weather.
• All materials are suitable for outdoor use. The wooden parts are coated with an appropriate sur-
face, the fabric and cords are made of weather-resistant PA fibres, the cord stopper is galvanised
and the metal parts (items 4-6) are made of stainless steel.
SAFETY INFORMATION
• The maximum permissible load for the chair is 120 kg.
• The chair may only be used when the cords are tied, otherwise there is a risk of injury.
• Do not stand on the fabric covering of the chair.
• The maximum permissible load for the table is 30 kg.
• Do not use the chair and table as a substitute for a ladder or similar.
