General Power Tool Safety
Warnings –Work Area Safety
Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as in
the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create
sparks which may ignite the liquids,
fumes or dust.
Keep children and bystanders away
while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
General Power Tool Safety
Warnings –Electrical Safety
Power charger plugs must match the
outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs

QUAD POWER PAK DESCRIPTION
The Quad Power Pak has been
developed for use with the Core®
GasLessTM line of outdoor power tools.
The Quad Power Pak allows the use of
up to FOUR Power Cells at one time to
provide up to FOUR times the running
time without having to stop your project
to charge the Power Cell. In addition,
the Quad Power Pak is worn as a
backpack, eliminating the weight of a
single Power Cell that would normally
be inserted in the tool.
The Quad Power Pak Power Cells can
be charged without being removed from
the Quad Power Pak in one of two
ways:
1. Using the 115V Standard Charger
or the 115V Rapid Charger
2. Using a 12V automotive accessory
receptacle.
NOTE: Power Cells and Power Cell
Chargers must be purchased
separately.
INSERTING POWER CELLS INTO
THE QUAD POWER PAK
1. Insert ONE Power Cell (1) into
each Power Cell cavity (2) in the
Quad Power Pak (Fig. 1).

Cell in each cavity. The Quad
Power Pak is designed for use with
1, 2, 3 or 4 Power Cells. It is not
necessary to use 4 Power Cells.
The purpose of using multiple
Power Cells is to provide longer
running times without having to
recharge the Power Cell(s). Two
Power Cells will approximately
double the available running time of
a single Power Cell. Three Power
Cells will approximately triple the
available running time of a single
Power Cell. Four Power Cells will
approximately quadruple the
available running time of a single
Power Cell.
b) When installing fewer than four
Power Cells, they may be installed
in any cavity.
To remove the Power Cell for storage,
press the locking latch toward the
Power Cell. While holding the locking

CHARGING THE POWER CELLS IN
THE QUAD POWER PAK USING A
12V AUTOMOTIVE POWER SUPPLY
The Power Cells in the Quad Power
Pak can be charged using an
automotive 12V external power source.
NOTE: It is recommended that you use
the 12V power outlet in a car, SUV /
truck or other large vehicles. Because
of the high battery drain, it is NOT
recommended that you use ATV or
other small utility vehicles with a 12V
outlet, as the batteries are smaller and
may be incapable of fully charging the
Power Cells.

CHARGING THE POWER CELLS IN THE
QUAD POWER PAK USING A 12V
AUTOMOTIVE POWER SUPPLY –cont’d
The basic procedure for charging the
Power Cells using a 12V automotive
power supply is similar to using the
115V charger.
1. Insert the Power Cells into the
Quad Power Pak cavities as
outlined in Fig. 1 & 2 on Pages 16
& 17.
2. Insert the 12V charging adapter
connector (2) on the 12V charging
adapter able (3) into the power
supply receptacle (4) on the side of
the Quad Power Pak (5) (Fig. 6).
NOTE: When inserting the 12V
charging adapter connector into the
power supply receptacle, make sure the
keys (6) on the power supply connector
are aligned and inserted into the
matching slots (7) in the power supply
receptacle (Fig. 7).
3. When the power supply connector
is fully inserted into the power
supply receptacle, lock it in place
by turning the locking collar (8)
clockwise until it is finger tight.
NOTE: Do not use pliers to tighten the
locking collar. It may get damaged.
4. Insert the automotive charging
adapter on the end of the 12V
power supply cable into the 12V
power outlet of the car, SUV or
truck.
5. At this point, the Power Cells in the
Quad Power Pak will begin to
charge.
