II. Fruit Selection Tips
1. Select fresh fruits and vegetables that have high juice level. Suitable fruits include:
pineapple, beetroot, celery, apple, cucumber, spinach, melon, tomato, orange, grape
etc.
2. Fruits and vegetables with thin skin do not require peeling but those with thick ones
such as orange, pineapple and raw beetroot need peeling. Citrus fruits' seeds, which
may cause bitter taste after juicing, must be removed.
3. Freshly-squeezed apple juice may turn brown quickly. Few drops of lemon juice
can be added to slow down discolouring.
4. Leaves and stems (such as lettuce) can be put into food processor for juicing.
5. Fruits containing starch such as banana, papaya, avocado, figs and mango are not
suitable to be put into food processor to make juice, but they can be processed with
the blending function (optional).
