B. Hardware Installation
Cut the zip ties that are securing the clips in place.
Remove the clips holding the extruder assembly in
place before powering on your printer. If you fail
to remove these clips your printer will be
damaged. Please save these clips and re-install
them if you transport your printer.
Unscrew the 2 screws on each of the two clamps
holding the Z-axis in place. Use the included
3mm hex wrench.
Lift the build plate gently with your hands and
remove the packaging material under the build
plate.

Plug in the power plug.
Install the filament holder in the mounting hole on
the side of the printer and place a spool of PLA
filament on the holder.
Feed the filament up through the guide tube.
Insert the filament into the right nozzle, and push it
in until the feeding gear bites into it.
Note: The printer is set up to print rigid materials on the right side
(PLA, PETG) and flexible materials on the left side (FlexyFIt).

Remove the glass build plate from the protective
foam.
Gently slide the glass plate onto the build plate.
Make sure it snaps into the build plate clamps at
the back.
Use the remaining build clips to secure the glass
build plate to the heated build plate.

C. Install software
1. Install ideaMaker software. This is available on the USB storage included with
your printer. For Windows, run the ideaMaker installer program (.exe) and
follow the instructions. For Mac, open the Disk Image (.dmg) and drag the
program to your Applications folder to install. For more information on how
to get started with ideaMaker, you can download the user guide on our
website at www.CreateOandP.com.
2. Install software for your 3D Systems Sense scanner. You can download the
user guide on our website at www.CreateOandP.com.Please note, you will
need to use a computer that is running Windows 8 or 10 in order to use the
scanner and associated software.

you through setting up and printing your first items, as well as the basic

D. Start your first print
Turn the printer on with the power button on
the back of the printer.
The printer will go through a start-up sequence.
When the touch screen displays “Home,” the
printer is ready.
To load the filament, select “Utilities,” choose the
temperature of material you are printing and
then press “Load.” Follow the instructions on the
screen to finish loading the filament.
NOTE: Create printers are set up to print Flexy (flexible) filament
on the left side, and all rigid filaments on the right side.
Although your printer has been pre-leveled, it’s
a good idea to check the level in case it shifted
during shipping. Press the X/Y axis home button
first, and then the Z axis home button, to make
sure the print bed is leveled correctly.

The preferred distance between the nozzle and the
platform is around 0.15-0.2mm, but please refer to
the instructions given to you in your initial-set up
phone call as this height can vary slightly, depending
on what you are printing.
The distance between the nozzle and the platform
can be adjusted by turning the thumb screw on the
left front corner of the Z plate. The higher the screw
stands out, the further the distance between the
nozzle and the print platform.
The USB storage included with the printer comes
loaded with already sliced models, including the 3
test prints that are included with your printer. Insert
the USB storage into the USB slot on the side of the
touch screen.
Select the “Print” menu, choose “USB Storage” in
the file storage path, and find the file called Mini
Socket.gcode. Select the file to check the print
parameters and settings, then press “Print” to start
printing the test file.
