NC-STI Sequential Turn-On/Off and NexSys®power supply
Product Information
The NC-STI Module fits in the Output/Power bay located on the rear
panel of Crest Audio CKS, CKV & CKX Series Power Processing
amplifiers. In addition to NexSys initiation or hard closure activation of
Sequential Turn-On/Off (STO), NC-STI includes the power supplies for
the NexSys NC-NXS Network Module. When initiating STO with
NexSys, the NC-STI turn-on and turn-off delay times are user program-
mable.
Since the NC-STI is self-powered prior to the AC mains closure and is
optically isolated from other amplifiers in the Turn-On/Off chain, loss of
AC power to any amplifier in the chain will not affect any others during
STO. The front panel power activation switch must be in the “Remote”
position for the NC-STI to initiate or be part of a Turn-On/Off sequence.
Architects and Engineers Specifications - NC-STI.
The module shall plug into a Crest Audio CKS or CKV Power Processing amplifier in the
Power/Output bay. The module shall contain the power supplies required for powering an
NC-NXS module (if fitted). The module will provide NexSys-initiated and hard closure ini-
tiated sequential turn-on/off capability for groups of CKS and/or CKV amplifiers. The mod-
ule shall provide turn-on to host CKS and/or CKV amplifiers and a sequential turn-on output
to other amplifiers in the chain.
Disconnection of AC power to any number of amplifiers in the chain shall not affect the
turn-on/off sequence capability of all other amplifiers in the chain. A 5mm six pin Phoenix
connector shall be provided to receive and pass on the turn-on initiation signal. A closure
across two of the Phoenix connector terminals on the first amplifier in the chain shall initiate
the turn-on sequence. The module shall provide outputs for both amplifier channels on barri-
er strip connectors and a signal ground lift jumper. The module shall be designated the Crest
Audio model NC-STI.
