TheDM-NVX-352(C)is acompactvideoencoder/decoder designedtofunctionas either
transmitter or receiver with theabilityto switch betweenthetwomodes programmaticallyvia
commands from aCrestron controlsystem or theWeb-basedInterface.Featuringsimpleweb-
basedcontrolandmanagement,USBandKVMintegration,built-inscalingandvideowall
processing,nativeDante®or AES67transmit andreceivecapability,supportfor HDR10+,Dolby
Vision,andHDCP 2.2,andoptionalfiber connectivity,theDM-NVX-352(C)is one-stopsolutionfor
any-sizednetworkAVinstallation.

Theweb-basedconfiguration interfaceof theDM-NVX-352(C)allows youto viewstatus
informationfor theDM-NVX-352(C)andconfigureits networkanddevicesettings.
Accessing the Web-based Configuration Interface
Theweb-basedconfiguration interfaceis accessedfrom awebbrowser.Thefollowingtablelists

Access Web-based Configuration with aWebBrowser
1. Enter theIP address of theDM-NVX-352(C)intoawebbrowser.
NOTE:ToobtaintheIP address,press theSetupbuttonon theDM-NVX-352(C)todisplay
theIP address on theHDMI outputor usethefront panelof theDMF-CI-8chassis for
DM-NVX-352(C).

2. Enter your credentials intheDeviceAdministrationdialog(Notethattheuser nameand
passwordarecasesensitive).Thedefault user nameis admin ,andthedefaultpasswordis
admin .
NOTE:For enhancedsecurity,it is recommendedthatthedefaultpasswordis changed.
3. ClickSignIn.
Access Web-based Configuration With Crestron Toolbox™
Software
Toaccess theuser interfacebyopeningawebbrowser within theCrestron Toolbox™ application,
dothefollowing:

1. OpentheCrestron Toolbox™ application.
2. From theTools menu,select DeviceDiscoveryTool.You can also access theDevice
Discovery ToolbyclickingtheDeviceDiscovery Toolbutton inthetoolbar ofCrestron
Toolbox.TheDM-NVX-352(C)is discoveredandis listedinthedevicelist ontheleft-hand
sideofthescreen.Theassociatedhostname,IP address,andfirmwareversionarealso
displayed.
NOTE:If thereis security softwarerunningonthecomputer,you mightreceiveasecurity
alertwhentheCrestron Toolbox applicationattempts toconnect to thenetwork.Make
suretoallowtheconnection,sothattheDeviceDiscoveryToolcanbeused.
3. IntheDeviceDiscovery Toollist,double-clickonyour DM-NVX-352(C)device.
4. Enter your credentials in theAuthenticationdialogthat opens andclick LogIn.

ADM-NVX-352(C)devicecanbeconfiguredtofunctionas anetwork AVtransmitter (encoder)or
receiver (decoder):
lAs atransmitter,aDM-NVX-352(C)deviceallows alaptopcomputer,camera,or other
mediasourceto beconnectedviaanHDMIcableandthentransmittedover thenetwork.
lAs areceiver,aDM-NVXdevicereceives thesignalfrom aDM-NVXencoder andfeeds the
signaltoadisplaydeviceviatheHDMIoutput.ADM-NVXdecoder canswitchamong
multipleDM-NVXencoders on thenetworkalongsidelocallyconnectedHDMI sources.
ToconfigureaDM-NVXdeviceas antransmitter or receiver,followtheinstructions below.
Howto Configure DM-NVX-352(C) as aTransmitter
1. NavigatetotheSTREAMpageandselectTransmitter fromtheModedrop-downlist.
2. SelectYes whenpromptedto rebootthedeviceso thedevicecanbeproperly configuredas a
transmitter.
NOTE:You willberequiredtologinafter thedevicereboots.

3. After thedevicehas rebootedandyouhaveloggedin,navigatetotheStreampageandenter
avalidmulticast address in theMulticast Address field.
Oncethestreamhas started,theStatus read-onlyfieldwillupdateaccordinglytoreportthe
status of thedevice.
4. Copythestream locationdisplayedintheStream Locationfieldsoitcanbeenteredinthe
DM-NVX-352(C)Receiver.
Howto Configure DM-NVX-352(C) as aReceiver
1. NavigatetotheStreampageandselectReceiver from theModedrop-downlist.
2. SelectYes whenpromptedto rebootthedeviceso thedevicecanproperlybeconfiguredas a
receiver.
Notethatyou willberequiredtologinafter thedevicereboots.

3. After thedevicehas rebootedandyouhaveloggedin,navigatetotheStreampageandenter
thestreamlocationof thetransmitter intheStreamLocationfield.
Oncethestreamhas started,theStatus fieldwillupdatewiththestatus ofthedevice.
Howto ConfigureSubscription-basedRoutingonthe
Receiver
1. NavigatetotheSubscriptions page.
Theavailabletransmitters on thenetworkwillbedisplayedintheAvailableStreams section.
2. ClicktheSubscribebuttontosubscribetoastream,or subscribetomultiplestreams by
selectingthecorrespondingcheckboxes andclickingthe+SubscribeCheckedbutton.

3. Thestream(s)youhavesubscribedtowillbedisplayedintheSubscribedStreams section.
4. Toswitchbetweenthesubscribedstreams,navigatetotheXio-Routingsectionof the
Routingpageandclicktheradiobuttonfor thedesiredstream.
Howto Login to DM-NVX-352(C) UsingActiveDirectory
Credentials
Therearetwoways tologinusingActiveDirectory credentials:byusingActiveDirectoryuser
credentials,or byusingActiveDirectoryGroupuser credentials.
To Log In as Active Directory User:
NOTE:Users mustbealreadycreatedon theActiveDirectoryserver.
1. Loginto theDM-NVX-352(C).
2. NavigatetotheDevicepage,clickonAuthenticationManagementandselecttheUsers tab.

3. ClickonCreateUser button.
4. InCreateUser dialog,settheActiveDirectoryUser slider for ActiveDirectory toON.

5. Enter thenameof theuser intheNametextfieldusingthefollowingformat“Domain
name\username”,for example“crestronlab.com\admin_1”.
6. Select Administrators intheGroups drop-downlist,ifyouwouldliketheActiveDirectory
user tohaveadministrator privileges.
7. Login to theDM-NVX-352(C)usingtheActiveDirectoryuser credentials.
To Log In as Active Directory Group User
Prerequisites:
lActiveDirectory Users &ActiveDirectoryGroups mustalreadybecreatedontheActive
Directory server.
lActiveDirectory users must beassignedtospecificActiveDirectory Groups,for example:
ActiveDirectory Group:Engineering_Group,ActiveDirectory User :user1.

1. Loginto theDM-NVX-352(C).
2. NavigatetotheDevicepage,clickonAuthenticationManagementandselecttheGroups
tab.
3. ClickontheCreateGroupbutton.
4. IntheCreateGroupdialog,settheActiveDirectoryGroupslider toON.
5. Enter thename(casesensitive)of theActiveDirectory groupintheNametextfield.

6. Select“Administrators” from theAccess Leveldrop-downlistifyouwanttheActive
Directory grouptohaveadministrator privileges.

TheStatus Informationpageis thefirst pagethatis visiblewhenstartingthewebinterfaceof
DM-NVX-352(C).Itdisplays generalinformationabout theDM-NVX-352(C)(such as modelname,
serialnumber,andfirmwareversion),current networksettings (suchas host nameandIP
address,etc.),as wellas information about theconnectiontothecontrolsystem.
TheStatus pagecanbeaccessedatanytimebysimplyclickingtheSTATUStabinthenavigation
bar of theweb-baseduser interfaceof theDM-NVX-352(C).
Information displayedontheStatus pageis organizedintodifferent sections:
General:Displays theModel,FirmwareVersion,andSerialNumber of theDM-NVX-352(C).
Clickon +ShowMoretoseeadditionalinformationaboutDM-NVX-352(C).
Network:Displays theHostName,DomainName,andDNS Servers of theDM-NVX-352(C).
NOTE:Bydefaultthehost nameof DM-NVX-352(C)consists of themodelnamefollowedbythe
MACaddress of thedevice.For example,DM-NVX-352(C)- 00107F7C6544.
