IMPORTANTINFORMATION:Primaryand OptionalFeatures:
-PRIMARY:Thesearefeaturesthatmustbe connected inorderforthe systemtooperateproperly;i.e.the
Siren,L.E.D., 12VPower,Ground,Doorpin,Flashing Lightsand Override ProgramValetButton etc.
-OPTIONAL:Thesearefeaturestobe connected ifdesired oragreed upon bythe installing dealer.These
featuresmayalsorequireadditionalpartsand/orlaborfees.Consultwithyourinstallerbeforehand;i.e.Door
Locks,Flashing Lights,Starterdisable,Hood Trunktrigger,and AuxiliaryRemoteOutputsetc.

BEFOREBEGINNING,check all vehiclemanufacturercautionsand warningsregarding electricalservice(AIR
BAGS,ABS BRAKES,ENGINECOMPUTERS,BATTERYetc.).
WERECOMMEND the useofaVOLT/OHMMETERtotestand verifywiring circuits.Testlightsorilluminated
probescan causedamage toon-boardcomputerorengine managementsystems.
DONOTexceedmaximumoutputratingsordamage mayoccur.Electricalcurrentlimitsforthisalarm are
listed whereapplicableon the systemdiagram(Pg.17).If you areunsureaboutthe currentload,ofaspecific
circuiton yourvehicle,measurethe load firstwithan amp-meterbeforeconnecting.
WERECOMMEND thattheMAINSYSTEMFUSE beREMOVEDbeforejumpstarting,using abattery
charger,orchanging the battery.Avoltage surge orhigh boostcondition coulddamage alarm circuits.
DONOTROUTEANYWIRINGTHATMAYBECOMEENTANGLEDwithbrake,and gaspedals,steering
column,oranyothermoving partsinthe vehicle.

CONTROLMODULEMOUNTING
DONOTMountthecontrolunitintheenginecompartment!
DONOTMountthecontrolunitorwiring harness wherethey canbecomeentangledwithmoving parts
suchas brake/gas/clutchpedals,orthesteering column!
The alarm controlmoduleshouldbe mounted inaconcealed location.The Placementofthe modulewill
affectthe distancefromwhichthe remotetransmittercan controlthe unit. The antenna wireshouldbe routed
awayfromanymetalifpossible.Donotalterthe lengthofthe antenna wireorrouteitwithotherwires.Do
notground the antenna wire.Fasten the moduletoabracketorwireharness using the cabletiesprovided.
UnderdashMounting:If you arelocating the controlunitunderdash,mountitashigh aspossible,noteasily
located byan intruder.
Driver’sSideUnderdashmounting providesan easy location forwiring mostofthe system’sconnections,
howeverthisisacommon location foran intrudertocheck foran alarm afterbreaking intothe vehicle.The
left side ofthe vehiclemaycontainmoremetaland orwiring thatwill createinterferenceand decreasethe
operating range ofthe system.
PassengerSideunderdashisagood location,howeversomeextrawiring maybe needed toextend wires
across fromthe driver’sside.
Under-seat/CenterConsolemounting isalsoapossibility,butNOTRECOMMENDED.The system’s
transmitterrange will be reduced bythe metalstructuresofthe seatorcenterconsoleand the unitmayalso
be exposed tomoisturefromspilled drinks etc.Moistureorwaterdamage isnotcovered underthe warranty
and will be subjecttorepaircharges.Underseatorconsolemounting will createmoredifficultyifyou need to
access the unitforserviceorwanttoadd-on featuresorconnectionslater.Usethislocation asalastresort.
COMPONENTMOUNTING
SIREN:Mountthe siren underthe hood toan innerfender-well orotherbodysurfacewiththe open end facing
downward.
LED:Mountthe LEDstatusindicatorinavisiblelocation on the dashboardorconsole.
Shock Sensor:Mountthe included shock sensorwithwiretiestoan underdashwireharness orfasten with
screwstofirewall orside paneling.Usethe adjustmentscrewtosetthe sensitivityofthe sensor.
ValetOverrideProgramButton:Mountthe Valet/Override/Programpush-button inahidden butaccessible
location.It isREQUIREDforemergency disarm,programming,and valetmode.

WIRING
GREENWIRE:(-) DOORTRIGGER
Identifythe wirethatreadsground when anydoorisopen and 12 voltswhen all doorsareclosed.Some
vehiclesmayhaveisolated doortriggers.Inthiscaseyou mayneed torun additionalwiresfromotherdoors
orgo directlytothe wirethattriggersthe vehicle’sinteriordomelight. One vehiclewill notrequirethe useof
BOTHdoortriggerwires.
VIOLETWIRE:(+)DOORTRIGGER
Sameasthe GREENwireaboveexceptthiswireisused forvehiclesthatshowapositivevoltage (12 volts)
when the doorisopen and aground when doorsareclosed asinmanyFord,Lincoln,and Mercuryvehicles.
BLACK WIRE:SYSTEMCHASSISGROUND
The Black wireMUSTbe connected the CHASSISMETALofthe vehicle.Scrape awayanypaintordebris
fromthe connection pointand useastarwashertoensureagood connection.Keep the ground wireshort.
YELLOWWIRE:IGNITIONSWITCHED“ON”AND “START”12 VOLTS
Connecttoan IGNITIONwire(orfuseinthe fusebox)thatshows12 Voltswhen the keyinboth“On”and “
Start”(WHENCRANKING)positions.
GRAYWIRE:(-) AUXREMOTEOUTPUT1(Optional, may requirearelay)
Connecttothe Negativetrunkreleasecircuitortothe activation circuitofan auxiliarymoduleordevice.If the
circuitrequires12V,then arelayisrequired.RELAY WIRING: Connectthe Graywiretoterminal85,connect
relayterminals86 and 87 to12Vconstantpower.Connectterminal30 ofthe relaytothe 12Vpositive
device/circuittobe activated.
BLUEWIRE:(-) HOOD/TRUNK TRIGGER(Optional)
Inputtriggerforagrounding hood ortrunkpinswitch.Connecttoexisting hood and trunkpinswitchesthat
read ground when open.If no existing switchesareavailable,install newpinswitchesifdesired.Note:DO

2.Press the Program/Override Button 4times.Afterafewsecond delay,the unitwill chirpand flashthe
lights4times.

OPTIONPROGRAMMING
1.Turnthe Ignition ONand press the Override/Programbutton 5times.Afteraslightdelay,the systemwill chirpand
flashthe lights5times.
2.Withinthe nextfewseconds,press the Override/Programbutton [again]the numberoftimesthatcorrespondsto
the featurelistbelow.The siren and hornwill chirpforeachbutton press.DONOTLOSE COUNT!!
3.When you gettothe desired option number,quicklypress the appropriatebutton on the remotecontrolaccording to
the chartbelow.Button 1givesasinglelightflash/chirp,Button 2givestwolightflashes/chirps,and Buttons(1+2)
togethergivesthree lightflashes/chirps.
4.TurnIgnition off. Systemchirpsand flashesthe lights3timeson exit. When you arefinished customizing options,
check operation.

Perform step#1 above,thenpress buttons(1+2)together.Thesirenand hornwill chirp4times and
lightswill flash4times.TurnOFF Ignition.All programming optionswill berestoredto*Default*

1.HORN CHIRPS PULSES
Thisoption controlsthe system’sHorn-honkoutput. Thereare3selections:Button 1(Lock)=HornPulseonly
when alarm istripped.Button 2(Unlock)=HornChirpsforArm /Disarm and Pulsewhen tripped.Buttons
(1+2)=HornChirpsforArm,Disarm,and Pre-warning protection.The hornoutputpulseswhen triggered.
2.PASSIVE ARMINGand CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
Thisoption controlsthe Passive(Automatic)Arming feature.If ON,arming will occur30 Secondsafterthe
ignition isturned off and the lastdoorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashing rapidlywhilecounting
down.If adoorisreopened,the systemwill waitforthe doororzone toclosebeforearming.The unitwill
flashthe lightsonce.Doorswill lock ifpassivelocking isselected.Factorydefaultsetting isOFF.If Passive
Chirpcountdownisselected,the Systemwill produceasiren chirpevery2secondsduring countdownuntil
the systemarms.Note:Ifyou re-enterthevehicleyou mustturnignition key ONand OFF forpassive
arming toreactivate.
3.PASSIVE LOCKS/CUSTOMOVERRRIDE(ALSOSEE CUSTOMOVERRIDESECTION,page11 )
Thisoption controlswhetherthe doorswill lock when PassiveArming occurs.Note:Thisfeaturemay
increase therisk oflocking keys inthevehicle.
4.IGNITIONCONTROLLEDLOCKS
Thisoption controlswhetherthe locks arecontrolled byIgnition.Thereare3selections:Button 1(Lock)=
Lock/Unlock withvehicleIgnition.Button 2(Unlock)=Noignition locks.Buttons(1+2)=Ignition lock only.
Doorswill notlock iftheyareopen topreventlocking the keys in.
5.5/60 Sec.DOOROPENWARNING
Thissetting changesthe delaytimeinwhichthe alarm systembeginstomonitorthe Doorcircuit. Thisoption
can preventthe alarm fromgiving warning chirpson vehicleswithadelayed domelight.

6.ACTIVE RE-ARMING
ActiveRe-arming allowsthe systemtore-arm itself30 secondsafterdisarmed withthe transmitterifadoor
hasnotbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathe Transmitterinyourpocket)
withoutyou knowing it.
7.DOUBLEUNLOCK PULSE
The unitwill send 2unlock pulseswhen the #2 Unlock button ispressed.Thisfeaturemaybe required for
interfacing thisalarm withan existing FactoryKeyless EntryorAlarm systeminavehicle.Thesesystemsare
found on someNissan,VW,Toyota,and Lexusvehicles.
8.SILENTARMINGDISARMING(CHIRPDEFEAT)
Withthisfeature,the systemcan be programmed toArm and Disarm withoutthe siren chirpusing the regular
Lock/Unlock Button.Flashing parking lightswill be the onlyArm/Disarm confirmation.
9.PARKINGLIGHTSONWITHDISARM
Keepsparking lightson instead of2flasheswhen systemisdisarmed toassistinlocating yourvehicleina
crowded parking lotorstructure.Lightwill stayon for30 Sec.oruntil Ignition isturned on.
10.DISARMWITHAUX.OUTPUT1(TRUNK POP)
Controlswhetherthe systemwill DISARMwhen the trunkpop /AUX.featureisused.When the option is
turned on,the alarm disarmswhen opening trunkorusing an AUX.devicecontrolled bythe Grayoutputwire.
11.SILENTARM/DISARMWITHREMOTEBUTTON#2 (QUICK PRESS )
Withthisfeature,the systemcan be programmed toArm and Disarm withoutasiren chirpusing ashortpress
and releaseofButton #2 on the remotetransmitter.
12.DOORLOCK/UNLOCK PULSE TIME
Controlsthe amountoftime(0.75 sec.or3sec.)forthe lock/unlock pulse.The 3sec.setting maybe required
for1980’/90’sEuropean Vehiclesthatrequirealong pulsetodo Vacuumdoorlock systems.
13.ACTIVE,PASSIVE,orFULL TIMECARJACK PROTECTION
Thisfeaturecontrolsthe type ofCarjack protection the alarm will provide.Thereare3selections:Button 1
(Lock)=Activeprotection.Button 2(Unlock)=Activeand Passiveprotection.Buttons(1+2)=Full-Time
protection.Option number14 mustbe enabled toallowCarjack functionstooperate.

14.CARJACK FEATURES
Thisoption controlsthe unit’sCarJack features.EnableorDisableCarjack (TurnONorOFF)withthisoption.
15.Lock/Unlock orArm/Disarm withIgnition ON
Thisoption allowsyou Arm and Disarm the systemwiththe Ignition ON.Thisisused when thereisaremote
starteradded tothe system.The defaultislock/unlock withoutarm and disarm whilethe ignition on.
16.DataPortProtocol:
Thisoption controlsthe DataPortProtocolfor1-Way(OFAmodules)or2-Way(SLmodules).The defaultis
setfor2-WayProtocol.Thisoption hasno effecton conventionalwiring ofBypass modules.
CUSTOMPERSONALOVERRIDECODE
Customoverride allowsthe usertosetaspecificnumberofbutton presses(2-15)required toperform an
emergency override/disarm ofthe alarm system.Thisincreasesthe levelofsecurityofthe system,butyou
MUSTMEMORIZEhowmanybutton pressesyou havechanged yoursystemtouseorthe unitwill notdisarm
inan emergency.
1.Enterprogramming mode.(See step #1 on page 8)
2.Press programbutton three timestogo tooption #3 “PassiveLocks/CustomOverride”.
3.Press bothButtons(1+2)on the remotetransmitter(3chirps).
4.Press and releasethe programagainthe numberoftimesyou desireinordertoperform emergency disarm
on thisalarm system.Press the programbutton 2-15 timesonly.You need towaitforthe siren tochirpthe
samenumberoftimesyou pressed the programbutton toconfirm.
Totestfeature:Tripthe alarm system,turnkeyON,press the program/valetbutton 2-15 timesas
programmed abovethen continue toHOLDDOWNvaletbutton on the LASTPRESS for5seconds.Alarm
shoulddisarm.If systemdoesnotdisarm,then disarm withthe remotetransmitterand tryagain.If system
still doesnotdisarm oryou haveforgotten yourcustomcode,then you mustuseyourremotecontroltodisarm
the system
CAUTIONARYNOTE!
If you setup thisfeatureand forgetyourspecialcode,thereisno waytodisarm the systemotherthan the
remotecontrol.

ACTIVE ARMING
Toarm the alarm and lock the doors,press the #1
Button (Lock/Unlock Symbol)on the transmitter.You
will hearasinglesiren chirpand the lightswill flash
once.The systemwill arm,the doorswill lock and the
starterwill be disabled iftheseoptionalfeaturesare
installed.Afterashort5second delaytoallowvehicle
and electronics tosettle,the systemwill be completely
armed.The alarm statusLEDinthe vehiclewill begin
flashing.
ALARMTRIGGERING
If thereisan intrusion intothe vehicleorhardimpact
tothe bodywill sound the alarm and flashthe lights
for45 seconds.After45 secondsthe siren and lights
will stop,butthe alarm isstill armed tocontinue to
protectthe vehicle.If an intruderleft the dooropen,
the unitwill cycleasecond timebeforestopping and then continue toprotectthe otherun-tampered zonesof
the vehicle.
DISARMING
Todisarm the alarm and unlock the doors,press the #1 Button (Lock/Unlock Symbol)on the transmitter.You
will hear2siren chirpsand the lightswill flashtwice.LEDstopsflashing.Doorswill unlock and domelightwill
turnon iftheseoptionalfeaturesareinstalled.
ALARMTRIGGERRESET
If the armed alarm systemistriggered whileyou arewithinthe range ofthe remote,pressing the #1 Button will
onlyshutoff the siren and lightswhileleaving the alarm still inan armed status.Todisarm the alarm when it
isinatriggered status,you mustpress the #1 Button twice.

Topop the trunkifoptionalfeatureisinstalled ),press Button #2 (TrunkSymbol)on the transmitterforatleast
2seconds.If the systemisarmed,pressing Button 2mayormaynottripthe alarm systemwhen opening the

PRE-WARNINGSHOCK PROTECTION&SENSORADJUSTMENT
If alow-levelshock tothe vehicleisdetected,pre-warning protection will activatesounding 5quick siren chirps
and 1lightflash.If ahardimpactisdetected the shock sensorshouldtripthe alarm system.Onceitis
mounted,adjustthe sensorasneeded byturning the adjustmentscrewclockwisetoincreaseorcounter-
clockwisetodecreasethe sensitivity.The sensorisalsoequipped with2small indicatorlightstoeasethe
adjustmentprocess.Green light=Pre-warning disturbance(6siren chirps).Red light=Afull alarm trigger.
SILENTARM/DISARMTHROUGHREMOTE(BUTTON#2 )
Thissystemcan be armed and disarmed withoutsiren chirpson an “asneeded ”basis.Press and quickly
releaseButton #2 (TRUNK)toArm and Disarm systemwithoutchirps.NOTE:If Button #2ispressed too
long,then trunkpop mayactivateifoptionalTrunkpop featureisconnected tothe system.
PROGRAMMABLESILENTARM/DISARMMODE
The systemcan be silentlyarmed and disarmed asnormalwiththe Lock Unlock Button,withoutsiren chirps.
See alarm programming option #8 on page 8toenableordisablethisfeature.
EMERGENCYOVERRIDE&DISARM
If you havelostthe transmitteroritstopsworking foranyreason and the Alarm isarmed,you will haveto
perform and emergency override &disarm toshutthe alarm off. Open the doorwiththe key,(alarm will
sound).Turnthe ignition on and press the override/programbutton 4-5seconds(until siren stops).The Alarm
will disarm.If you continue holding the button (6-7seconds)the alarm will enterthe Valetmode.Thisallows
you tousethe vehicleuntil you can repairreplacethe remotetransmitterorhavethe alarm systemchecked
byan installer.

VALETMODE(SolidLEDon Dash)
Todisablethe Alarm systemforvehicleserviceorotherwise,turnthe ignition on and press the
override/programbutton 4-5secondsuntil the dashLEDturnson solidand you hear(1)siren chirp.Repeat
the process toexitVALETmode and the systemwill chirp(2)timesand the LEDwill turnoff. Lock Unlock and
AUXfeatureswill still operateinwhen inVALETmode.
PRIORINTRUSIONALERT
If the systemwastripped inyourabsence,the dashLEDwill be flashing rapidly.When the systemis
disarmed you will hear1chirp,then 2additionalchirps/flashes.Carefullyinspectyourvehicle.
OPENZONEALERT&BYPASS
If the systemdetectsafaultyoropen zone (Doorleft open)when the systemisACTIVELYARMED,the siren
will chirp5timesalong with5lightflashes.The faultyzone will be automaticallybypassed.
IGNITION-CONTROLLEDDOORLOCKS
If thisfeatureisenabled,the doorswill automaticallylock when the ignition isturned on and will unlock when
the ignition isturned off. Thisfeaturecan be programmed on,off, ortolock the doorsonly.Doorswill not
lock iftheyareopen topreventlocking the keys in.
PASSIVE ARMING, PASSIVE LOCK MODES and PASSIVE CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
If programmed,passive(Automatic)Arming will occur30 Secondsafterthe ignition isturned off and the last
doorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashing rapidlywhilecounting down.If adoorisreopened,the
systemwill waitforthe doororzone toclosebeforearming.The unitwill flashthe lightsonce.Doorswill lock
ifthe “PassiveLocking”featureisenabled.PassiveArm/Lock mayqualifyforinsurancediscounts-check with
youragentorproprietor.When the Unitisprogrammed forPassiveChirpCountdown,the siren will chirp
during passivecountdown,asan audiblewarning thatarming will occur.The siren will chirpevery2seconds
assoon asthe lastdoorisclosed until the systemarms30 secondslater.

PassiveArming will workonlyone timeafterthe ignition isturned off. When you disarm the alarm and re-enter
vehicle,the alarm systemwill notPassiveRe-Arm.
EXPORTSOFTWARE:FULL TIMEPASSIVE ARMING
The alarm systemwill always PassiveRe-Arm afterdisarm.The ignition mustbe turned on tostop Passive
Arming.
DOMELIGHTILLUMINATION(OPTIONAL)
Thisfeatureturnson the vehiclesdomelightupon disarm for30 secondsoruntil the keyisinserted and
turned on.Thiswill provide illuminated entrytoyourvehicleatnightorindimlylitareasforsafetyand
security.
ACTIVE RE-ARMING(FAILSAFEPROTECTION)
The ActiveRe-arming featureallowsthe systemwill re-arm itself30 secondsafterbeing disarmed withthe
transmitterifadoorhasnotyetbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathe
transmitterinyourpocket)withoutyou knowing it. Thisfeaturecan alsobe turned off inprogramming (option
#6).
2nd AUX.OUTPUT(REMOTEAUX.OUTPUT2)
Toactivatethe Second auxiliaryoutputpress Buttons(1+2)togetherfor(2)seconds.Thisoutputcan be used
tocontroloptionaladd-on accessoriessuchasawindowcontrolmodule.If installing an add-on on remote
startunit, you mustusethe GRAY AUX#1 channel,notAux#2.
ARM/DISARMWITHIGNITIONON(PROGRAMOPTION#15 )
Thisfeatureallowsthe systemtobe armed ordisarmed whilethe ignition isinthe ONposition orvehicleis
running.The featureisdisabled bydefaultand shouldnotbe used undernormaloperating conditions.In
somerareinstanceswherean add-on remotestartmoduleisused,thisoption can be enabled toallowthe
CS-2000DPII alarm tobe armed ordisarmed when the vehicleisremotestarted (Ignition ON).
