only if your product was purchased from an authorised distributor
or an authorised reseller. 2. All warranty repairs or replacement are
performed by the authorised distributor or authorised reseller in the
region where the product was first shipped by D-D The Aquarium
Solution Ltd. 3. The limited warranty is valid for a period of 1 year
under proper installation and normal use from the date of the original
purchase listed on the proof of purchase or sales receipt. 4. In the
event of a limited warranty claim, proof of purchase or sales receipt
(issued to the original purchaser) is required.

INSTALLATION
When connecting to mains power the controller will beep and flash 5
times and then ‘flash only’ 5 times. The green LED will then flash on and
o for 2 minutes during the initialisation stage. The LED then turns solid
green to indicate that power is switched on to the skimmer, which should
now begin to operate.

OPERATION
During normal operation the Skimmer Guardian alarm will be illuminated
solid green and there will be no flashing or audible alarm. When the
skimate level in the cup reaches the sensor, it will activate the AC switch
and remove power from the skimmer or other device plugged into
the Skimmer Guardian. The power will remained switched o until the
skimmer cup has been emptied.
The Skimmer Guardian incorporates a latching function and will
automatically switch the power back on to the controller if the level in the
cup is reduced, as would happen in the case of a skimmer cup that is
fitted with a drain valve.

SKIMMER GUARDIAN START UP DELAY
The Skimmer Guardian has a built in delay of 2 minutes when first
powered on. This allows time for the water levels within the sump
or aquarium to normalise after a power outage, thus preventing the
skimmer from switching on when the sump water level is higher than
the normal operating level.
NOTICE
1. Please keep the controller/AC switch dry.
2. Product should be used for its intended purpose and any incorrect
operation will not be covered by warranty.
3. Do not use with skimmer cup drain open as the device will not
function as intended.

EINGESCHRÄNKTE GARANTIE
1. D-D The Aquarium Solution gewährt eine eingeschränkte Garantie, wenn
Sie Ihr Produkt bei einem autorisierten Händler oder einem autorisierten
Wiederverkäufer erworben haben. 2. Sämtliche Reparatur- oder
Austauscharbeiten gemäß der Garantie werden vom autorisierten Händler
oder autorisierten Wiederverkäufer in der Region durchgeführt, in die das
Produkt ursprünglich von D-D The Aquarium Solution versandt wurde.
3. Die eingeschränkte Garantie gilt bei ordnungsgemäßer Installation
und normalem Gebrauch für ein Jahr ab dem auf dem Kaueleg oder
der Quittung aufgeführten ursprünglichen Kaufdatum. 4. Im Falle eines
Anspruchs gemäß der eingeschränkten Garantie ist der Kaueleg oder
die Quittung (ausgestellt für den ursprünglichen Käufer) vorzuweisen.

INSTALLATION
Beim Anschluss an das Stromnetz piept der Controller und blinkt 5.
Anschließend blinkt er noch 5 Mal ohne Piepen. Die grüne LED blinkt
dann während der Initialisierungsphase 2 Minuten. Die LED leuchtet
dauerhaft grün, wenn der Skimmer eingeschaltet ist, der dann in Betrieb
gehen sollte.
Montieren Sie den
Sensor auf der
gewünschten
maximalen Füllhöhe des
Abschäumerbehälters.
Schließen Sie
den Skimmer
Guardian an
eine 240-V
Steckdose an.

BETRIEB
Während des normalen Betriebs leuchtet der Alarm des Skimmer Guardi-
an dauerhaft grün, ohne Blinken oder Alarmton. Wenn der Stand des Ab-
schäumwassers im Behälter den Sensor erreicht, wird der Schalter aktiviert
und die Stromversorgung zum Abschäumer bzw. dem jeweiligen an den
Skimmer Guardian angeschlossenen Gerät unterbrochen. Die Stromver-
sorgung bleibt so lange ausgeschaltet, bis der Behälter des Abschäumers
geleert wurde.
Der Skimmer Guardian verfügt über eine Einrastfunktion und schaltet die
Stromversorgung zum Controller automatisch wieder ein, wenn der Füll-
stand im Behälter sinkt; der gleiche Eekt würde erzielt werden, wenn der
Abschäumerbehälter mit einem Ablaufventil ausgestattet wäre.

HINWEIS

3. Nicht bei geönetem Ablauf des Abschäumerbehälters
verwenden, da das Gerät dann nicht wie vorgesehen funktioniert.
EINSCHALTVERZÖGERUNG DES
SKIMMER GUARDIAN
Der Skimmer Guardian hat beim ersten Einschalten eine integrierte
Einschaltverzögerung. Dadurch haben die Wasserfüllstände im
Technikbecken oder Aquarium nach einem Stromausfall Zeit sich
zu normalisieren. So wird verhindert, dass sich der Abschäumer
einschaltet, wenn der Wasserstand im Technikbecken höher als bei
normalem Betrieb ist.

INSTALLATION
Lors du branchement sur le secteur, le régulateur émet un bip et
clignote 5 fois, puis il clignote à nouveau 5 fois. La DEL verte clignote
pendant 2 minutes au cours de l’étape d’initialisation. Puis, la DEL verte
reste allumée pour indiquer que l’écumeur est sous tension et qu’il va
commencer à fonctionner.
Montez le capteur au
niveau du remplissage
maximal requis sur le

UTILISATION
Au cours du fonctionnement normal, le témoin vert de l’écumeur reste
allumé (il ne clignote pas) et aucune alarme n’est émise. Lorsque le
niveau de mousse marron dans le récipient atteint le capteur, cela
active l’interrupteur CA pour mettre hors tension l’écumeur ou tout
autre appareil branché au Skimmer Guardian. L’alimentation est coupée
jusqu’à ce que le récipient de l’écumeur soit vidé.
Le Skimmer Guardian propose une fonction d’enclenchement qui remet
automatiquement le régulateur sous tension si le niveau du récipient
diminue, comme cela peut être le cas lorsque le récipient de l’écumeur
est équipé d’une vanne de vidange.

DÉLAI DE DÉMARRAGE DU SKIMMER GUARDIAN
Le Skimmer Guardian présente un délai de démarrage de 2 minutes
lors de la première mise sous tension. Cela permet aux niveaux
d’eau du puisard ou de l’aquarium de revenir à la normale à la suite
d’une coupure de courant, ce qui empêche donc l’activation de
l’écumeur lorsque le niveau du puisard est supérieur au niveau de
fonctionnement normal.
AVERTISSEMENT
1. Maintenez le régulateur/l’interrupteur CA au sec.
2. Le produit ne doit être utilisé que pour le but auquel il est destiné, et
tout fonctionnement incorrect ne sera pas couvert par la garantie.
3. N’utilisez pas le produit avec la vanne de vidange du récipient de
l’écumeur ouverte car l’appareil ne fonctionnera pas comme prévu.
