About This Guide
T is guide gives step-by-step instructions for setting up
t e DGS-1210-52MP/FL switc . Please note t at t e
model you ave purc ased may appear slig tly different
from t ose s own in t e illustrations.
Step 1 – Unpacking
Open t e s ipping carton and carefully unpack its
contents. Please consult t e packing list located in t e
User Guide to make sure all items are present and
undamaged. If any item is missing or damaged, please
contact your local D-Link reseller for replacement.

Step 2 – Switch Installation
For safe switc installation and operation, it is
recommended t at you:
•Visually inspect t e power cord to see t at it is secured
fully to t e AC power connector.
•Make sure t at t ere is proper eat dissipation and
adequate ventilation around t e switc .
•Do not place eavy objects on t e switc .
Desktop or Shelf Installation
W en installing t e switc on a desktop or s elf, t e
rubber feet included wit t e device must be attac ed on
t e bottom at eac corner of t e device’s base. Allow
enoug ventilation space between t e device and t e
objects around it.
Rack Installation
T e switc can be mounted in an EIA standard size
19-inc rack, w ic can be placed in a wiring closet wit
ot er equipment.
1. To install, attac t e mounting brackets to t e switc ’s
side panels (one on eac side) and secure t em wit t e
screws provided.
2. T en, use t e screws provided wit t e equipment rack
to mount t e switc in t e rack.
Grounding the Switch
T is section describes ow to connect t e Switc to
ground. You must complete t is procedure before powering
on your Switc .
Required Tools and Equipment
•Grounding screws (included in t e accessory
kit): One M4 x 6 mm (metric) pan- ead
screw.
•Grounding cable (not included in t e accessory kit):
T e grounding cable s ould be sized
according to local and national installation
requirements. Depending on t e power
supply and system, a 12 to 6 AWG copper
conductor is required for installation.
Commercially available 6 AWG wire is
recommended. T e lengt of t e cable
depends on t e proximity of t e Switc to
proper grounding facilities.
•A screwdriver (not included in t e accessory kit).
You can connect t e Switc to a protective
ground by following t e steps below:

1. Verify if t e system power is off.
2. Place t e terminal lug ring of t e grounding
cable on top of t e ground-screw opening,
insert t e grounding screw into it and
tig ten t e screw wit a screwdriver.
3. Attac t e terminal lug ring at t e ot er
end of t e grounding cable to an
appropriate grounding stud or bolt on rack
w ere t e switc is installed.
4. Verify if t e connections at t e ground
connector on t e switc and t e rack are
securely attac ed.
Step 3 – Plugging in the
AC Power Cord
You can now connect t e AC power cord into t e rear of
t e switc and to an electrical outlet (preferably one t at
is grounded and surge protected).
Power Failure
As a precaution, t e switc s ould be unplugged in
case of power failure. W en power is resumed, plug t e
switc back in.
Installing Power Cord Retainer
To prevent accidental removal of t e AC power cord, it is
recommended to install t e power cord retainer toget er
wit t e power cord.
1. Wit t e roug side facing down, insert t e Tie Wrap
into t e ole below t e power socket.
2. Plug t e AC power cord into t e power socket of t e
Switc .
3. Slide t e Retainer t roug t e Tie Wrap until t e end of
t e cord.
4. Circle t e tie of t e Retainer around t e power cord
and put it into t e locker of t e Retainer.

5. Fasten t e tie of t e Retainer until t e power cord is
secured.

anagement Options
T e D-Link Switc can be managed in-band by using
Telnet. T e user may also c oose t e Web-based
Management, accessible t roug a web browser or
t roug any PC using t e DNA (D-Link Network
Assistant).
If you want to manage only one D-Link Switc , t e
Web-Based Management is t e better option. Eac
switc must be assigned its own IP Address, w ic is
used for communication wit Web-Based Management
or an SNMP network manager and t e PC s ould ave
an IP address in t e same range as t e switc .
However, if you want to manage multiple D-Link
Switc es, t e DNA (D-Link Network Assistant) is
t e better option. Using t e DNA (D-Link Network
Assistant), you don’t need to c ange t e IP address
of your PC and it is easy to start t e initial setting of
multiple Switc es.
Web-based Management Interface
After a successful p ysical installation, you can configure
t e switc , monitor t e LED panel, and display statistics
grap ically using a web browser, suc as Microsoft®
Internet Explorer version 7.0 and ig er, Firefox, C rome
or Safari.
You need t e following equipment to begin t e
web configuration of your device:
•A PC wit a RJ-45 Et ernet connection
•Standard Et ernet cable
Step 1
Connect t e Et ernet cable to any of t e ports in front
panel of t e switc and to t e Et ernet port on t e PC.
Step 2
In order to login and configure t e switc via an Et ernet
connection, t e PC must ave an IP address in t e same
range as t e switc . For example, if t e switc as an IP
address of 10.90.90.90, t e PC s ould ave an IP address
of 10.x.y.z (w ere x/y is a number between 0 ~ 254 and z is
a number between 1 ~254), and a subnet mask of
255.0.0.0.
Open your web browser and enter ttp://10.90.90.90 (t e
factory-default IP address) in t e address box. T en press
<Enter>.
NOTE: T e switc ’s factory default IP
address is 10.90.90.90 wit a subnet
mask of 255.0.0.0 and a default
gateway of 0.0.0.0
Step 3
W en t e following login box appears, enter “admin” for
t e password. Press OK to enter t e main configuration
window.
Step 4
Before entering t e Web-based Management, t e
Smart Wizard will guide you to quickly configure some
functions, suc as Password Settings, SNMP
Settings, and System Settings. If you don’t plan to
c ange anyt ing, click Exit to exit t e Wizard and enter
t e Web-based Management.

DNA (D-Link Network Assistant)
T e DNA (D-Link Network Assistant) is a program for
discovering Switc es wit t e same L2 network
segment connected to your PC.
Option 1: Autorun program (in case the
installation CD is included).
1. Insert t e CD into your CD-Rom Drive.
2. T e autorun program will pop up automatically.
3. Simply click on t e ”Install DNA (D-Link Network
Assistant)” button and an installation wizard will guide
you t roug t e process.
4. After successfully installing t e DNA, you can find
it under Start > Programs > D-Link > DNA.
5. Just connect t e Switc to t e same L2
network segment of your PC and use t e DNA
(D-Link Network Assistant) to discover t e
Switc es.
Option 2: Manual installation (in case the
installation CD is included).
1. Insert t e Utility CD into your CD-Rom Drive.
2. From t e Start menu on t e Windows desktop, c oose
Computer.
3. Double click on your CD-Rom/DVD-Rom Drive to start
t e autorun menu, or rig t click on t e Drive to open
t e folder. Select DNA (D-Link Network Assistant) and
double click on t e setup.exe file.
4. Follow t e on-screen instructions to install t e utility.
5. Upon completion, go to Start > Programs > D-Link >
DNA and open t e DNA (D-Link Network Assistant).
6. Just connect t e Switc to t e same L2
network segment of your PC and use t e DNA
(D-Link Network Assistant) to discover t e
Switc .
Option 3: (in case the installation CD is not
included).
Download DNA (D-Link Network Assistant) from
Google Play at ttps://play.google.com/store/apps/ and
follow t e on-screen instructions to install t e utility.
Telnet Management
Users may also access t e switc t roug Telnet using
your PC’s Command Prompt. To access it from your
computer, users must first ensure t at a valid connection is
made t roug t e Et ernet port of t e Switc and your PC,
and t en click Start > Programs > Accessories >
Command Prompt on your computer. Once t e console
window opens, enter t e command telnet 10.90.90.90
(depending on configured IP address) and press Enter on
your keyboard. You s ould be directed to t e opening
console screen for t e Command Line Interface of t e
switc , enter t e “admin” for t e default user name and
password for t e Switc and press t e Enter key.
SNMP-Based Management
(depending on the purchased model)
You can manage t e Switc wit D-Link D-View or any
SNMP-compatible program. T e SNMP function is
default Disabled.

Убедитесь, что устройство и кабели не имеют механических повреждений.
Устройство должно быть использовано только по назначению, в соответствии с
кратким руководством по установке.
Устройство предназначено для эксплуата ии в сухом, чистом, незапыленном и хорошо
проветриваемом помещении с нормальной влажностью, в стороне от мощных
источников тепла. Не используйте его на ули е и в местах с повышенной влажностью.
Не размещайте на устройстве посторонние предметы. Вентиля ионные отверстия
устройства должны быть открыты. Температура окружающей среды в непосредственной
близости от устройства и внутри его корпуса должна соответствовать рабочей
температуре, указанной в технических характеристиках устройства. Электропитание
должно соответствовать параметрам электропитания, указанным в технических
характеристиках устройства.
Не вскрывайте корпус устройства! Перед очисткой устройства от загрязнений и пыли
отключите питание устройства. Удаляйте пыль с помощью влажной салфетки. Не
используйте жидкие/аэрозольные очистители или магнитные/статические устройства для
очистки. Избегайте попадания влаги в устройство.
Устройство должно также быть заземлено, если это предусмотрено конструк ией
корпуса или вилки на кабеле питания.
Срок службы устройства - 5 лет.
Гарантийный период исчисляется c момента приобретения устройства у офи иального
дилера на территории России и стран СНГ и составляет один год.
Вне зависимости от даты продажи гарантийный срок не может превышать 2 года с даты
производства изделия, которая определяется по 6 (год) и 7 (меся ) ифрам серийного
номера, указанного на наклейке с техническими данными.
Год: A – 2010, B – 2011, С – 2012, D – 2013, E – 2014, F – 2015, G – 2016, H – 2017, I –
2018, J – 2019, 0 – 2020.
Меся : 1 – январь, 2 – февраль, ..., 9 – сентябрь, A – октябрь, B – ноябрь, С – декабрь.
При обнаружении неисправности устройства обратитесь в сервисный ентр или группу
технической поддержки D-Link.

Введение
Данное руководство содержит пошаговые инструкции
по установке коммутатора DGS-1210-52MP/FL. Помните,
что приобретенная Вами модель может незначительно
отличаться от изображенной на иллюстрациях.
Шаг 1 – Распаковка
Откройте коробку и аккуратно достаньте ее
содержимое. Проверьте по списку наличие всех
компонентов и убедитесь, что они не повреждены.
Если что-либо отсутствует или есть повреждения,
обратитесь к Вашему поставщику.

Шаг 2 – Установка
коммутатора
Для безопасной установки и эксплуатации
коммутатора рекомендуется следующее:
●Осмотрите кабель питания переменного
тока и убедитесь в безопасности его подключения
к соответствующему разъему на задней панели
коммутатора.
●Убедитесь в наличии пространства для
рассеивания тепла и вентиляции вокруг
коммутатора.
●Не размещайте тяжелые предметы на
поверхности коммутатора.
Ус ановка на с ол или поверхнос ь
При установке коммутатора на стол или
какую-нибудь поверхность необходимо
прикрепить входящие в комплект поставки
резиновые ножки к нижней панели коммутатора,
расположив их по углам. Обеспечьте достаточное
пространство для вентиляции между устройством
и объектами вокруг него.
Ус ановка в с ойку
Коммутатор может быть установлен в 19-дюймовую
стойку EIA, которая, как правило, размещается в
серверной комнате вместе с другим оборудованием.
1. Прикрепите кронштейны к боковым панелям
коммутатора и зафиксируйте их с помощью входящих в
комплект поставки винтов.
2. Установите коммутатор в стойку и закрепите его с
помощью винтов, входящих в комплект поставки стойки.
Заземление комму а ора
Данный раздел содержит информацию о заземлении
коммутатора. Данную процедуру необходимо
выполнить перед включением питания коммутатора.
Необходимые инс румен ы и оборудование:
●Винт заземления M4 x 6 мм (входит в
комплект поставки).

●Провод заземления (не входит в
комплект поставки): характеристики
провода заземления должны
соответствовать региональным
требованиями по установке. В
зависимости от источника питания и
электрической сети для установки
требуется медный провд от 12 до 6 AWG.
Рекомендуется использовать имеющиеся
в продаже провода 6 AWG. Длина кабеля
зависит от расположения коммутатора по
отношению к средствам заземления.
●Отвертка (не входит в комплект
поставки).
Заземлите коммутатор, выполнив
следующие шаги:
1. Убедитесь, что питание коммутатора выключено.
2. Прикрутите клемму заземляющего провода
винтом заземления к коммутатору.
3. Прикрепите клемму на противоположной стороне
провода заземления к разъему заземления на
стойке, в которую установлен коммутатор.
4. Проверьте надежность соединений.
Шаг 3 – Подключение кабеля
питания переменного тока
Подключите кабель питания переменного тока
к соответствующему разъему на задней панели
коммутатора и к электрической розетке (желательно
с заземлением и защитой от статического
электричества).
Сбой пи ания
В случае сбоя питания коммутатор должен быть
отключен. При восстановлении питания включите
коммутатор снова.
Ус ановка фикса ора для кабеля
пи ания
Для предотвращения случайного отключения кабеля
питания рекомендуется установить фиксатор.
1. Установите стяжку замком вниз в отверстие,
расположенное под разъемом питания.
2. Подключите кабель питания к разъему питания на
коммутаторе.
3. Наденьте зажим на стяжку и сместите его в сторону
разъема питания.

4. Оберните ленту зажима вокруг кабеля питания и
вставьте ее в фиксирующий замок.
5. Затяните ленту зажима, чтобы зафиксировать
кабель питания.
