Steam cleaning - what you need to know
General information
zThe cleaning effect depends on the temperature, pressure and amount of steam. Like-
wise, the distance between the steam jet and the surface play an essential role.
However, there are certain surfaces and materials which are unsuitable for steam clean-
ing, for these please refer to the following chapter.
zFirst of all select a greater distance to spray the object of the steam jet. Then try out
the steam in a small area in a less visible place. This will enable you to verify how the
surface reacts to treatment with hot steam.
zAlways follow the manufacturer's instructions relative to the maintenance of a given
surface.
z1 litre of water produces about 1500 litres of steam, which enables you to clean a
surface of approximately 120 m2.
zThe steam helps to dissolve the dirt. It is then necessary to dry the surfaces with a cloth
- the special duster used for accessories or any other suitable cloth.
zThe steam dissolves embedded dirt without any chemicals. It is not necessary to add
any detergents.
zThere is no risk of allergy to detergents because the steam cleaner only uses steam
from hot water.
zThe hot steam enables cleaning of places which are not normally accessible to cloths
and brushes. Take advantage of the numerous options offered by the accessories.

To use the window-cleaning tool, the floor nozzle will also
be necessary:
Floor nozzle
The floor nozzle is used to clean rugs, padded seats or car
seats.
When the small floor nozzle is used with the adapted fabric,
it is possible to treat dust and embedded dirt and then dry
them with the same movement.

This is suitable for general house cleaning, for example in
between cracks, radiator ridges, for toilets and seals.
