General Information

Warranty
The warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship only.
Product warranty period will expire at the earliest of:
• The battery pack has been Charged* 300 times
• 12 months after the battery pack has been first taken into use
• 13 months after delivery of the battery pack
• ”Charged” shall mean any charge of the battery pack that increases the state of charge of the battery by more than
10%.
• Normal wear and tear, and loss of performance due to normal wear of the cells is not included within the warranty.
• Warranty does not apply if a battery pack has been abused, misused, opened, dismantled or modified.
• Warranty repairs are only performed in Desoutter workshops or by Certified Service Partners. Damage to the bat-
tery pack that occurs as a result of maintenance performed by parties other than Desoutter or its Certified Service
Partners during the warranty period is not covered by the warranty.
• Desoutter offers extended warranty and state of the art preventive maintenance through its Tool Care contracts. For
further information contact your local Service representative.
THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN-
CLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MERCHANTABIL-
ITY.
IN NO EVENT IS DESOUTTER LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE VALUE OF THE DE-
FECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR IS DESOUTTER LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSE-
QUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFIT OF ANY KIND, OR FOR LOSS OF USE OF THE PROD-

How to use the battery pack
NOTICE Usage recommendations for battery packs
Ensure a longer service life of the battery pack.
►Unplug the battery pack when the tool is not used.
Do not leave the battery pack on the charger when the charger power supply is off.
WARNING Only use or store the battery pack in an ambient temperature interval stated in chapter
Technical data.
Initial start
On delivery, the battery pack is in Deep sleep mode.
Use the battery pack charger to charge the battery pack before using it.
How to charge the battery pack
Attach the battery pack to the charger, slide it into position.
To get more information on the battery pack charger, refer to the Product Instructions (printed matter:
6159925330) available at https://www.desouttertools.com/resource-centre.
To remove the battery pack from the charger, slide the battery pack out from the holder.
How to read the State Of Charge (SOC)
The State Of Charge (SOC) is the level of charge of the battery pack relative to its capacity.
Press button (1) briefly (less than 3 seconds).

How to check the State Of Health (SOH)
The State Of Health (SOH) measures the condition of the battery pack compared to its ideal conditions.
It enables to know if the battery pack should be replaced or not.
Press button (1) during more than 3 seconds.

How to get more information with CVIMONITOR
Connect the eDOCK kit DATA interface to the battery pack and launch CVIMONITOR.
Refer to the Product Instructions (printed matter: 6159929690) available at https://www.desouttertools.com/resource-
centre to get more information.
Automatic switch to Deep sleep mode
The battery pack switches automatically to Deep sleep mode when a timer of 5 days has elapsed.
This timer is triggered when the battery pack is disconnected from a tool or when the tool switches to a Deep sleep
mode itself.
Use the battery pack charger to charge the battery pack before using it.

Do not modify or attempt to repair the battery pack.
For safety reasons, the battery pack should be serviced only by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
How to store the battery pack
Respect the storage temperature given in chapter Technical data [Page4].
To avoid discharging during storage, it is recommended to put the battery pack in Deep sleep mode.
Connect the eDOCK kit DATA interface to the battery pack and launch CVIMONITOR to set up the feature.

Trouble-shooting
Description Solution
The battery pack is not operational:
- no LED display when pressing the gauge button
- no power when connected to a tool
Plug the battery pack to the battery pack charger.
The temperature protection has been activated.
LED 2 of the gauge level blinks 3 times.
Let the battery pack cool down.
Do not use the battery pack over the operating temperature
(see Technical data).
The battery pack provides power to the tool but LEDs are not
working when the gauge button is pressed.
Long press on the gauge button for more than 8 seconds.
Very deep discharge The battery pack must be disposed of according to local reg-
ulations and replaced.
