DISPLAY MODE: (Option chosen at the time of acquisition)
Display mode 1: Your ETHYWAY V2 has NF certication for a legal
limit of 0.25 mg/L of exhaled air (legal limit in France).
Above 0.24 mg/L, your device displays HI and emits a beep.
Display mode 2: For special use such as in a medical context, associations in
the ght against alcohol behind the wheel and simple screening, the device
displays a digital value above the legal limit up to 0.49 mg/L of exhaled air
in compliance with NF EN 16280. The message "HI" is displayed above
this limit. The alarm goes o once 0.25 mg/L is reached.

êIntroduction
This system is designed to measure the alcohol level in human
breath. The measurements obtained with this system are
used to diagnose alcohol intoxication.
This system's precision has been established at an alcohol
concentration of 0.00 - 0.18 and 0.30 mg/L.
êImportant information before testing:
Wait at least 20 minutes after your last alcoholic drink.
Wait at least 5 minutes after consuming any food, drink, cigarettes
or medicines.
Certain substances may disturb your results (food, drink, cigarettes
or medicines, etc.).
Not following these procedures may lead to erroneous results.
Operating temperature between +10°C and +40°C.

êPower supply
Slide the cover o the back of the device
Insert two 1.5-V AAA alkaline batteries, being careful with the
polarity symbols: +/-
êInstructions for use
Insert a mouthpiece into the mouthpiece holder
(change the mouthpiece with each use).
Using mouthpieces:
Tear open the protective lm.
Hold the protective lm in place to protect the area where
the lips will come into contact to avoid all risk of contamination.
Attach the mouthpiece to the device while holding the other
end with the protective lm between your ngers.
After use, remove the mouthpiece while protecting yourself
with the lm that you should save for this purpose.
Do not touch the disposable mouthpieces directly
Press the "TEST" button and hold it down.
Release once the device switches on.
The number of tests already performed is displayed.
The Breathalyser is now preparing for the test.
Wait for the end of the countdown:
The letters 'CCC' are displayed at the end of the
countdown.
Take a deep breath and blow into the mouthpiece continuously
as long as the sound signal lasts until you hear
the pump start with a "click".
The screen now displays «---» whilst awaiting the results of
the test.
Your results will then be displayed for 15 seconds
The device switches o automatically.

Memory mode:
After your test, the results are displayed for 15
seconds. In the meantime, after 7 seconds the device beeps.
After this signal, press the test button to display the last 10
results. The memory is displayed starting with the last test
performed.

êImportant information
Never use the breathalyser without a disposable mouthpiece.
This could cause permanent damage to the fuel cell and will
not be covered by the warranty.
Wait at least 20 minutes after consuming the last alcoholic
beverage.
Wait 5 minutes after drinking a non-alcoholic beverage or after
eating food or taking medicine.
Use within a range of temperatures between 10°C and
40°C.
Storage: -20°C to +70°C
Calibration: the maximum period of use between two
calibrations is 1 year (see inspection date on the device).
Caution: exceeding this 1-year period may lead to erroneous
results. Calibration operations can only be performed by the
technical services at OBJECTIF PREVENTION.
When there is a temperature dierence between two locations,
wait a few minutes before using.
Do not store in full sunlight.
Avoid dropping or giving a sharp blow.
The results obtained do not have legal standing against
those obtained by the police.
The maximum breath alcohol level is reached after at least
20 minutes. All measurements taken earlier will automatically
give a breath alcohol level that is lower than the actual
level.
The maximum value for which the system will give a null
value is 0.04 mg/L.

êEnvironment and safety
Do not throw batteries into re. Alkaline batteries can be
recharged. Danger of explosion! Only use the recommended
single-use batteries and mouthpieces.
All persons in possession of batteries and accumulators are
responsible for managing their disposal. They must ensure
they are disposed of in compliance with the applicable regulations.
Article L 541-2 of the French Environmental Code.
The recommended frequency for calibration and adjustment
operations is a maximum of 1 year between two calibrations.
Calibration conditions:
- The gas used must be a wet gas and must have a
temperature of (34.0 +/- 1.0)°C
- The ambient temperature must be 22°C +/- 4°C.
- Humidity of the ambient air (20 to 80)% RH.
- The value of the calibration solution is 0.25 +/- 0.01 mg/L
- Breathalysers should be stored at 20°C for at least 2 hours
before calibration.

performed by competent people

The warranty applies if the defective product is returned
during the warranty period along with the purchase invoice.
The warranty does not cover:
- Transport costs or risks incurred during transport
