poor electrical connection can result in

cord. If the outlet needs to be serviced
contact a licensed electrician for repairs.
!To disconnect the unit, make sure it is
powered OFF then grip the plug and pull
it from the wall outlet. NEVER pull the
cord to unplug it.
!Do not use any electrical appliance that
has a damaged power cord or plug.
!Do not use any electrical product that
you believe may be faulty product, or
that has been dropped or damaged in
any way.
!Keep the power cord away from hot
surfaces.
!Do not route the power cord under
carpet or cover it with carpet. Route the
power cord to minimize the possibility
that someone could trip over it.
!Do not expose the unit to excessive
moisture. Avoid operating it where it
might come in contact with water, such
as bathrooms, laundry rooms or other
damp places.
!Disconnect the power before cleaning or
servicing the unit.

in a 24 hour period.
!Place the unit on the oor/ground where
it is unlikely to be bumped or overturned
to avoid potential spills.

into the unit can damage the machine

How It Works
The Sciaire Pro + HEPA contains a fan forcing air through the unit from bottom to top.
There are four stages to the unit:
Stage 1: Pre-lter. Captures large particulate matter including dust, pollen, hair and pet
dander.
Stage 2: HEPA Filter. The true High Efciency Particulate Air (HEPA) lter captures
particles down to 0.3 microns in diameter.
Stage 3: Activated Carbon Filter. The carbon lter help absorb the odors, harmful gas
& VOCs etc..
Stage 4: Active Plasma Set. The active plasma set generates positive ions and negative
ions that are diffused into the air.
Unpacking and Setup
1. Remove the unit from the box and check that all the items shown in Figure 1 are
included. It is a good idea to retain the packaging for storing the unit or in the event
it must be shipped back for service.
2. The unit is shipped with the HEPA lter and activated carbon lter sealed inside a
protective plastic bag. Open the door with the key and remove the HEPA lter and
activated carbon lter from the plastic bag, then replace it inside the unit and close
the door.
3. Locate the unit on a at, solid surface in proximity to an AC electrical outlet.
4. Connect the AC adapter to the unit, and route the power cord to the outlet, but
do not plug it in yet. Make sure that the power cord is out of the way and does not
pose a tripping hazard, and is out of reach of children and pets.

Unlock by the key and open the door.
Close the door. Plug in and press the
power button to turn on.
Take out the HEPA lters and
activated carbon lters from the
polybag and reinstall.

Using Wi-Fi & DH Lifelabs App
Sciaire Essential can connect with your smart device when you download
the DH Lifelabs App. Follow the steps in the App.
1. Install DH Lifelabs app on a smartphone.
2. Turn on Location Authorization and Bluetooth function for the
DH Lifelabs app.
3. Open the DH Lifelabs app.
4. Follow in-app instructions.
Manual set up:
1. Select the device you have.
2. The DH Lifelabs app will read your Wi-Fi network.
3. Follow in-app instructions by turning on the DH Lifelabs device.
4. Long-press the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds to enable Bluetooth
pairing.
5. Connect to the device hotspot "SmartLife-XXXX".
6. Follow any additional in-app steps to complete DH Lifelabs device
setup.
To disconnect from the network, press the Wi-Fi Button. The unit will
beep and the indicator will be turn off.

Using the Schedule Function
Using the DH Lifelabs App operation you can set up a schedule to turn the Aaira + HEPA
on or off time (like an alarm clock) in advance. You can also set up the desired operating
mode including, fan speed, plasma on/off function or sleep mode. For example, if you
set the machine on at 22:30 in sleep mode, it will be turned on immediately at 22:30 at
night and enter sleep mode.
Cleaning and Maintenance
When the device is not used for an extended time, store it in a cool dry place. Do not
store the device where it might be exposed to excess moisture or direct sunlight. The
device may not operate effectively in very low temperatures. The device can be damaged
when exposed to sub-freezing temperatures. Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the
device. Do not use any chemicals or cleaners.

Filter Replacement
HEPA Filter Replacement
The lter should be replaced every 12 months or whenever indicated by the Filter
Replacement Indicator/Button on the Control Panel. However this interval is intended as
a guideline only. In environments with a high concentration of contaminants such as dust,
pet dander, or cigarette/cigar smoke you may need to replace the lter more frequently.
Activated Carbon Filter Replacement
The lter should be replaced every 6 months or whenever indicated by the Filter
Replacement Indicator/Button on the Control Panel.
1. Make sure the Purier is OFF and unplugged.
2. Open the door with the key.
3. Remove and replace the replacement HEPA lter/ Activated Carbon lter, then close
the door and lock it with the key.
NOTE: Ensure that the pull tabs are facing outward to facilitate lter
removal later.
4. Turn on the Purier. After replacing the lter, press and hold Filter Reset Button for 3
seconds to reset the lter life countdown.
NOTE: Both HEPA lter and activated carbon lter is not washable. DO NOT
immerse it in water.

Symptom Probable Cause/Solution
Purier does not operate.
Power cord not securely plugged into outlet. Make
sure plug is securely inserted.
No AC power. Check fuse or circuit breaker. Replace
fuse with a time delay type or reset the circuit
breaker.
Purier is starting to make
noise and the air output
is low.
HEPA lter/Carbon lter may be dirty or obstructed.
Replace lter.
Air coming from Purier
has a bad odor.
The rst time you use the Purier, you might perceive
a plastic or paint smell. This is normal, but it should
disappear quickly. If the smell persists or if you sense
a burning smell, please disconnect the unit and
contact Customer Support.
Air quality does not
improve as the Purier
operates.
Windows or doors are open. Constant introduction
of dirty air from outside the room can reduce the
effectiveness of the Purier. Close all exterior doors
and windows.
Fan does not operate.
Bottom cover is not securely in place. Ensure that
the bottom cover is closed properly, and the lter is
properly installed.
Fan speed does not
change after selecting a
new fan speed.
The fan speed will decrease or increase gradually,
this is normal. If fan speed does not change after a
prolonged period of time after changing the setting
contact Customer Support.
The appliance is very loud.
Ensure that there are no obstacles near the appliance
and that it has a minimum of 12 inches (30 cm) of
clearance around it for optimal operation.
The app does not
operate properly or it
is not possible to sync
the purier with the DH
Lifelabs smartphone app.
If you try another time but still not work, contact
Customer Support.

This 2 year limited warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be
defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting
from commercial, abusive, unreasonable use or supplemental damage. Defects that are
the result of normal wear and tear will not be considered manufacturing defects under
this warranty.
