Introduction
Genano 200 airpurification unit removes even the smallest particles and fluids from
indoor air. Also gases are removed by active carbon plate. Air purifier collects ultra fine
particles (UFP), fine particles and other impurities to its collecting parts. These impurities
are flushed by pouring fluid once a week.
Two fan speeds can be selected by sidepanel switch.
Genano 200 intakes are equipped with prefilters (metallic nets both side of the unit).
These nets are easy to clean by vacuum cleaner. Fine particles that bypass prefilters are
catched with electrical Multifunction Ion Air (MFI) technology.
Clean air is exhausted through the top vent of the unit.

Installation and operating instructions
Installation
1. Gently remove Genano 200 out of the crate and check the overall
condition.
2. Open the down hatch and check that the basin container is on its
place, close the hatch and lock it.
Important ! Always lock the hatches when this unit is located near
children or pets.
3. Make sure that the main switch is off (position 0) before connecting
the main cord to purifier. Do not connect voltages other than the
factory labeled requirement, always use grounded power socket.
4. Ensure that the top hatch is closed.
5. Switch the main switch on (position 1) . Enjoy breathing!
IMPORTANT ! To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a grounding
type plug that has a third (grounding) terminal(s). This plug is only allowed to
connect into a grounding type power outlet. If there is no grounded outlet installed,
contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any
way.
WARNING ! Due to its mode of operation the electronic air purifier may
occasionally emit sparks. Never use the air purifier in a place where flammable
gases or liquids or large amounts of dust may combine with air to form an
explosive mixture.

Normal mode
The green signal light is constantly illuminated when the unit is cleaning air (see
sidepanel lights). All the hatches must be closed correctly to enable normal mode (air
cleaning).
Please note! When the bottom hatch is closed, it takes 60 seconds until Genano 200
starts air cleaning (green light blinks). This drying delay is a normal feature of Genano
200.
Washing of collecting surfaces
The device efficiently collects athmospherics particles on the collection surfaces.
Washing of the collection surfaces is made as easy as possible. Just pour washing fluid to
the opening on top of the unit. This is recommended to do once a week. The fluid is
flushing through the surfaces and drops to the basin container. Washing fluid is nature
friendly. Instructions to wash a unit:
Note ! Keep unit ON during the wash.
1. Open down hatch and check that the basin is in its place, if necessary empty and
clean basin.
2. Close down basin (if the red light is blinking, basin is still open).
3. Mix in the red can washing fluid with water. Mixture: 0,5 dcl fluid to 0,75 litres
of water. Read also instructions printed in the bottle!
4. Open top washing hatch.
5. Pour fluid rapidly into the hatch opening, but prevent splashing.
6. Close the top hatch. Sidepanel green light starts blinking. The unit starts
automatically after drying period. During drying Genano 200 is not cleaning
air.

Emptying water basin
It is recommended to empty the water basin frequently. Open the down hatch. Ensure that
there is no water flowing down to basin before you take basin out of the unit. Washing
fluid is nature friendly and can be disposed to the drain. After emptying basin please
clean it with soft towel. Put the basin back to its place and lock the hatch.

Note. The product of clean air is larger using greater volume but then cleaning efficiency
goes lower.

Regular Clensing
In typical use it is recommended to do collector washing (pouring fluid) once a week.
This helps to maintain excellent air cleaning performance. Genano 200 remainds ( see
signal lights) when its time to do wash. Use only Genano washing fluid to prevent
technical malfunctions.

Locating purifier
Genano 200 takes impure air through intakes of lower sidewalls and pushs it out top of
the unit. This guarantees optimal movement of air.
Air purifier should be placed so that the flow of air through the purifier follows the
direction of air circulation in the room. Usually the best place is where incoming air
flows in to a room. In some rooms it is recommended to place purifier near the source of
impurities (e.g. processes or workstations) and prevent impurities to spread around.
Anyway the efficiency of purification is always better near the purifier.
Caution ! The use of this unit is only allowed in normally ventilated rooms.
Do not cover air inlets or outlets or keep any objets on top of the purifier.
Disposal of flush water
Genano fluid is nature friendly. When Genano 200 is operated in ordinary home or office
environment, in most cases it is no restrictions to empty the dirty flush basin to the drain.
Some excepsions needs special arrangements, for example clensing of welding gases of
air must be disposed correctly because of chromium. Check the regulations of your local
authorities.

Technical hints
Genano 200 is equipped with High voltage measurement feature. When filter inside is for
example too wet, this feature prevents start up until filter is dry (Green light is blinking).
This extended drying period is a normal feature of the unit. If the drying takes
exceptionally long time and the unit does not start at all, contact Genano service.
Please note, that the washing of the collecting surfaces works best when unit is on
vertical position.This unit is only allowed to connect grounded power plug!

FULL 12 MONTHS WARRANTY
Genano Ltd warrants each new MFI™ Air Cleaning Product, Model against defects
in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase,
and agrees to repair or replace any defective product without charge.
IMPORTANT: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or
abuse, lack of reasonable care, the affixing of any attachment not provided with the
product or loss of parts or subjecting the product to any but the specified voltage. Use of
unauthorized replacement parts will void this warranty.
GENANO CORPORATION WILL NOT PAY FOR WARRANTY SERVICE
PERFORMED BY A NON-AUTHORIZED REPAIR SERVICE AND WILL NOT
REIMBURSE THE CONSUMER FOR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM WARRANTY
SERVICE PERFORMED BY A NON-AUTHORIZED REPAIR SERVICE. NO
RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
In order to obtain warranty service, simply contact the nearest Authorized Genano
Service Location. It is suggested that for your protection you return shipments of
products by insured transport, insurance prepaid. Damage occurring during shipment is
not covered by this warranty.
NOTE: No other warranty, written or oral, is authorized by Genano Ltd Finland.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from country to country. Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion and limitations may not
apply to you+.
1. Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it has been dropped or
damaged. Return the device to an Authorized Genano Service Location for
examination and repair.
2. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
3. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
4. Do not plug in this air cleaning device outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
5. Do not use this device with a damaged or broken part, as injury may occur.
6. Always attach plug to device first, then to outlet. Be certain that plug is inserted firmly
into device. To disconnect, turn device off, then remove plug from outlet.
7. To prevent possible damage to the cord, do not wrap cord around the air cleaning
device.
8. Never put air cleaning device in direct, hot sunlight or store in pouch at a
temperature above 140°F (60°C).
