This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limitations are designed to provide

1‐1ProductIntroduction
Thank You for purchasing this high-resolution 3 Megapixel Pan/Tilt IP Camera! DG-SC3800P
IP Camera provides 3 Megapixel high-resolution video quality. With the advanced megapixel
lens, you can view images remotely in more detail than conventional close-circuit cameras.
Other features of this Pan/Tilt IP Camera include:
Ultra-high resolution 3 Megapixel CMOS image sensor.
Full Pan / Tilt Control.
Digital input / output interface lets you connect peripherals such as external alarm,
sensor, etc.
Audio output interface/ inbuilt mike, lets you listen to voices from remote places as well as
speak to people in remote places.
Built-in SD-card slot for local storage, which can act like a stand-alone DVR.
Two Way audio.
3GPP Mobile Surveillance Supported.
ONVIF Compliant.

In order to keep the safety of users and your properties, please follow the safety instructions as
mentioned below:
This Network IP Camera is a sophisticated electronic device; DO NOT drop it from a
height.
DO NOT place this IP Camera close to a hot or humid area like kitchen or bathroom. Also
avoid direct sunlight.
Accessories of this IP Camera like power supply are dangerous to small children. KEEP
THIS IPCAMERA OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Make sure the lens set is secured when you’re using this IP Camera, lens set may fall down
if it’s not properly fixed, and can cause damage to human and the camera itself.
If you want to use this IP Camera at any place that may have water or dirt around, a secure
and water-proof camera housing is required.
DO NOT pull any connected cable with force; disconnect it from the IP camera first.
The IP camera will get heated up when used for a long time (This is normal and is not a
malfunction). DO NOT put this IP camera on paper, cloth, or other flammable materials.
DO NOT connect powered cable to IP Camera’s DI/DO contacts.
If the IP Camera falls into water when powered, DO NOT attempt to retrieve it back by
yourself! Find a qualified electrical technician for help.

4 Microphone Receives voice.
5 LED indicators There are 2 LED’s inside to indicate
the operation of this IP camera:
Left: Network activity LED
On: Ethernet cable connected.
Off: Ethernet cable disconnected.
Flash: LAN connectivity.
Right: Power LED
On: IP camera is switched on.
Off: IP camera is switched off.
Note: These LEDs can be switched
off regardless of the operation
status of IP camera in IP camera’s
configuration menu. This will be
helpful if you don’t want other
people to know the operation status
of this IP camera. Refer to section
3-1 for detailed description.

1 Audio out Connects to external audio amplifier to output voice. Use 3.5mm
audio cable.
2 DC 12V Connects to DC power adapter output.
3 RESET When the IP camera is not functioning properly, you can use a
pen or similar object to press this reset button to reset the IP
camera. You can also press and hold this button till the power
LED goes off, to clear all settings of IP camera, including
administrator password.
4 DI/DO
connectors Digital input / output dry contacts. Connects to external
peripherals by wire. See next page for pin definitions.
WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT POWERED CABLE.

5ETHERNET
(PoE support) Connects to your local area network by Ethernet cable.
Getting power from this Ethernet port if this device connects to
PoE switch.
6SD card slot Insert SD card for video recording. Maximum 32GB of SDHC
card supported.

1‐6InstallationofIPCamera
Please follow the instructions mentioned below to setup your new IP camera.
Note: If you wish to place this IPcamera on the table, please skip steps 1 to 5.
1. Fix the wall mounting metal plate ‘A’on the wall, secure it by 4 screws at the
screw holes indicated by black arrows. You can fix it upside-down when
required.

2. Insert wall mounting metal plate ‘B’ into the slot at the bottom of this IP
camera by the direction indicated by black arrow.
3. Fix wall mounting metal plate ‘B’by 2 screws.

4. Insert the IP camera (with wall mounting metal plate ‘B’installed) into wall
mounting metal plate ‘A’, which is already fixed on the wall.
5. Fix the IP camera on the wall by screwing wall mounting metal plate ‘A’ and
‘B’together at the place indicated by black arrow.

When mounted on the wall, cables can pass through wall mounting metal plate
‘A’as indicated by the picture below.
6. Insert Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port of this IP camera. If the other
terminal of the cable is connected to a PoE switch then the device will get
power from the Ethernet cable and the power adaptor is no more required.

7. Insert DI/DO signal cable(s) into DI/DO port of this IP camera. If you don’t
have DI/DO accessories, you can skip this step.

8. Insert AC power adapter’s cable into DC12V port of this IP camera.
The LED’s should light up after few seconds, and the IP camera will test its
Pan/Tilt motor within 1 minute (Do not disturb IP camera at this stage). Please
refer to the following sections for detailed operating instructions.
