1 Aufstellung
Die Aufstellung und Installation muss von einer zugelasse-
nen Fachfirma erfolgen!
Die Aufstellung muss in einem frostsicheren Raum mit kur-
zen Leitungswegen erfolgen.
Die nach DIN 4753 emaillierten Speicher sind für normales
Trinkwasser geeignet.
Mischinstallation ist zulässig. Beim Anschließen der Hei-
zungsanlage sind die einschlägigen Vorschriften einzuhal-
ten. Weiterhin sind bei dem Anschluss an die Trinkwasser-
versorgung die für die örtliche Trinkwasserversorgung
geltenden Vorschriften zu beachten.
Der Anschluss ist nach DIN 1988 und DIN 4753 Teil 1 aus-
zuführen. Alle nicht benötigten Anschlussmuffen müssen
mit Verschlussstopfen verschlossen werden.
Vor Anschluss der Heizwasserleitungen muss der Glattrohr-
Wärmetauscher mit Wasser gespült werden.
Die auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Betriebsüberdrücke
dürfen nicht überschritten werden.
Gegebenenfalls ist die Montage eines Druckminderers er-
forderlich.
Elektroeinsätze dürfen nur von zugelassenen Elektroinstal-
lateuren nach dem entsprechenden Schaltbild angeschlos-
sen werden. Die Vorschriften des EVU und VDE sind zwin-
gend zu beachten.
2 Empfehlung
Um Druckschwankungen bzw. Wasserschläge im Kaltwasser-
netz zu egalisieren und um unnötigen Wasserverlust zu vermei-
den, empfehlen wir die Montage eines geeigneten Ausdeh-
nungsgefäßes mit Durchströmungsarmatur.
3 Inbetriebnahme
Vor Inbetriebnahme prüfen, ob die Wasserzufuhr geöffnet
und der Speicher gefüllt ist. Die erste Befüllung und Inbe-
triebnahme muss von einer zugelassenen Fachfirma erfol-
gen. Hierbei ist die Funktion und die Dichtigkeit der gesam-
ten Anlage einschließlich der im Herstellerwerk montierten
Teile zu prüfen.
Die Funktionssicherheit des Sicherheitsventils ist in regel-
mäßigen Abständen zu überprüfen. Eine jährliche Wartung
durch eine Fachfirma wird empfohlen.
Der Elektroeinsatz (falls vorhanden) ist jährlich, bei entspre-
chend hartem Wasser auch in kürzeren Abständen zu ent-
kalken. Hiermit ist eine Funktionskontrolle zu verbinden.
Eine Reinigung des Speichers und Überprüfung der Anlage
wird 1x jährlich empfohlen.
Durch vernünftige Betriebsweise können Sie im erheblichen
Umfang Energie einsparen. Im Wärmepumpenbetrieb sollte
die Warmwassertemperatur nicht über 45 °C liegen.
ACHTUNG!
!!
Die Magnesiumanode ist laut DVGW erstmalig nach 2 Jahren und dann in
entsprechenden Abständen durch den Kundendienst prüfen zu lassen
und gegebenenfalls zu erneuern (Anode erneuern bei Schutzstrom
geringer als 0,3 mA).

6 Anschluss Warmwasserspeichers
6.1 Allgemein
Der Kaltwasseranschluss muss nach DIN 1988 und DIN 4573
Teil 1 ausgeführt werden (Abb. 6.1 auf S. 8). Alle Anschlusslei-
tungen sollten über Verschraubungen angeschlossen werden.
Da durch eine Zirkulationsleitung hohe Bereitschaftsverluste ent-
stehen, sollte sie nur bei einem weitverzweigten Trinkwassernetz
angeschlossen werden. Ist eine Zirkulation erforderlich, so ist sie
mit einer selbsttätig wirkenden Einrichtung zur Unterbrechung
des Zirkulationsbetriebes auszurüsten.
Alle Anschlussleitungen inkl. Armaturen (außer Kaltwasseran-
schluss) müssen nach der Energieeinsparverordnung (EnEV)
gegen Wärmeverluste geschützt werden. Schlecht oder gar nicht
gedämmte Anschlussleitungen führen zu einem Energieverlust,
der um ein Vielfaches größer ist als der Energieverlust des Spei-
chers.
Im Heizwasseranschluss ist auf jeden Fall ein Rückschlagventil
vorzusehen, um eine unkontrollierte Aufheizung bzw. Abkühlung
des Speichers zu vermeiden.
Die Ausblasleitung des Sicherheitsventils in der Kaltwasserzulei-
tung muss stets offenbleiben. Die Betriebsbereitschaft des Si-
cherheitsventils ist von Zeit zu Zeit durch Anlüften zu überprüfen.
6.2 Entleerung
Eine Entleerungsmöglichkeit des Speichers ist bauseits in der
Kaltwasseranschlussleitung vorzusehen.
6.3 Druckminderventil
Kann der max. Netzdruck den zulässigen Betriebsüberdruck von
10 bar übersteigen, so ist ein Druckminderventil in der An-
schlussleitung zwingend erforderlich. Um jedoch Geräuschent-
wicklung zu mindern, sollte nach DIN 4709 der Leitungsdruck in-
nerhalb von Gebäuden auf ein betriebstechnisch noch
zulässiges Maß reduziert werden. Je nach Gebäudeart kann aus
diesem Grunde ein Druckminderventil im Speicherzulauf sinnvoll
sein.
6.4 Sicherheitsventil
Die Anlage muss mit einem bauteilgeprüften, zum Speicher hin
nicht absperrbaren Sicherheitsventil ausgerüstet werden. Zwi-
schen Speicher und Sicherheitsventil dürfen auch keine Veren-
gungen, wie z.B. Schmutzfänger, eingebaut werden.
Beim Aufheizen des Speichers muss aus dem Sicherheitsventil
Wasser ausfliesen (-tropfen), um die Ausdehnung des Wassers
aufzufangen bzw. einen zu großen Druckanstieg zu verhindern.
Die Ablaufleitung des Sicherheitsventils muss frei, ohne jegliche
Verengung, über einer Entwässerungseinrichtung münden. Das
Sicherheitsventil ist an gut zugänglicher und beobachtbarer
Stelle anzubringen, damit es während des Betriebs angelüftet
werden kann. In der Nahe oder am Ventil selbst ist ein Schild mit
der Aufschrift: “Während der Beheizung kann Wasser aus der
Ausblasleitung austreten! Nicht verschließen!” anzubringen.
Es dürfen nur bauteilgeprüfte, federbelastete Membran-Sicher-
heitsventile verwendet werden.
Die Abblasleitung muss mindestens in Größe des Sicherheits-
ventil-Austrittsquerschnitts ausgeführt sein. Werden aus zwin-
genden Gründen mehr als zwei Bogen oder eine größere Länge
als 2 m erforderlich, so muss die gesamte Abblasleitung eine
Nennweite größer ausgeführt sein. Mehr als drei Bogen sowie 4
m Länge sind unzulässig. Die Ablaufleitung hinter dem Auffang-
trichter muss mindestens den doppelten Querschnitt des Venti-
leintritts aufweisen. Das Sicherheitsventil muss so eingestellt
sein, dass der zulässige Betriebsüberdruck von 10 bar nicht
überschritten wird.
6.5 Rückschlagventil, Prüfventil
Um einen Rückfluss des erwärmten Wassers in die Kaltwasser-
leitung zu verhindern, muss ein Rückschlagventil (Rückflussver-
hinderer) eingebaut werden. Die Funktion kann überprüft wer-
den, indem das in Fließrichtung erste Absperrventil geschlossen
und das Prüfventil geöffnet wird. Es darf bis auf das in dem kur-
zen Rohrstück vorhandene Wasser kein Wasser austreten.
6.6 Absperrventile
Es sind Absperrventile an dem dargestellten Speicher Abb. 6.1
auf S. 8 in den Kalt- und Warmwasseranschluss sowie den
Heizwasservorlauf und -rücklauf einzubauen.

1 Installation
Mounting and installation must be performed by a qualified
specialist company!
The unit must be installed in a room protected from frost and
with short pipe runs.
The enamelled cylinders (in accordance with DIN 4753) are
suitable for drinking water.
Mixed installation is permitted. When connecting the heating
system, all applicable regulations must also be adhered to.
For connection to the domestic water supply, the regulations
valid for the local domestic water supply must be observed.
The connection must be carried out in accordance with DIN
1988 and DIN 4753 Part 1. All connecting sleeves which are
not required should be sealed with vent plugs.
The bare-tube heat exchanger needs to be flushed with
water prior to connecting the hot water pipeline.
The maximum permissible operating overpressure indicated
on the type plate must not be exceeded.
It may be necessary to mount a pressure reducer.
Electrical installations should only be connected by author-
ised electricians according to the corresponding circuit dia-
gram. All relevant requirements of the utility company and
VDE regulations must be observed.
2 Recommendation
In order to level transient pressure or water impact in the cold
water network and avoid unnecessary loss of water, we recom-
mend installing a fitted expansion vessel with a perfusion device.
3 Commissioning
Ensure that the water supply is turned on and the buffer tank
is filled before commissioning. The initial filling and commis-
sioning must be carried out by an authorised specialist com-
pany. The entire system, including all factory-assembled
components, should be inspected to ensure that everything
is working properly and that there is no leakage.
The operational reliability of the safety valve must be
checked at regular intervals. We recommend having an an-
nual maintenance carried out by a qualified specialist com-
pany.
The electrical insert (if present) should be de-scaled every
year, or more frequently in particularly hard water areas.
This should be combined with a functional test.
We recommended having the cylinder cleaned and the sys-
tem checked once a year.
Reasonable operation can save a considerable amount of
energy. The hot water temperature should not exceed 45 °C
when the heat pump is in operation.

According to the specifications of the German Technical and Scientific
Association for Gas and Water (DVGW), the magnesium anode should
initially be inspected by after-sales service after 2 years of use and then
at regular intervals and replaced when necessary (replace anode with
protective current of less than 0.3 mA).

6 Domestic hot water cylinder connection
6.1 General
The cold water pipes are connected according to DIN 1988 and
DIN 4573 Part 1 (Fig.6.1 on pag. 9). All connecting pipes should
be joined using pipe unions.
A circulation pipe should only be connected if the domestic water
supply system is extensive because it causes high stand-by
losses. If circulation is required,
it must be equipped with an automatic function for interrupting
circulation operation.
All connecting pipes including fittings (with the exception of the
cold water connection) must be protected against heat losses ac-
cording to the German Federal Energy Efficiency Ordinance
(EnEV). Poorly
insulated or uninsulated connecting pipes will lead to a loss of
energy which is many times greater than the energy loss of the
cylinder.
A check valve should always be fitted to the heating water con-
nection to prevent the cylinder from heating up or cooling down
uncontrollably.
The air outlet pipe of the safety valve connected to the cold water
pipe must always remain unblocked. The operational readiness
of the safety valve should be checked at regular intervals by
venting it.
6.2 Drainage
A means of draining the cylinder should be provided in the cold
water connecting pipe during construction.
6.3 Pressure reducing valve
It is essential to equip the connecting pipe with a pressure reduc-
ing valve if the max. supply pressure could exceed the permissi-
ble operating overpressure of 10 bar. However, according to DIN
4709, the pipe pressure should be lowered inside buildings to a
level which still permits technical operability to reduce the gener-
ation of noise. Depending on the type of building, it may then be
worthwhile to install a pressure reducing valve in the cylinder in-
let.
6.4 Safety valve
A tested and non-closing safety valve should be installed where
the cylinder is connected to the system. No constrictions, e.g. dirt
traps, should be installed between the cylinder and the safety
valve.
Water should be able to flow (drip) out of the safety valve when
the cylinder is being heated up to compensate for the expansion
of the water and to prevent a severe build-up in pressure.
The safety valve overflow pipe must flow freely into a sewage
system without any constrictions. The safety valve should be
mounted in an easily accessible and observable location so that
it can be vented during operation of the system. A sign should be
fixed on the valve itself or in its vicinity with the following inscrip-
tion: “Water may be discharged from the air outlet pipe during
heating! Do not close!."
Use only spring-loaded diaphragm safety valves that have been
tested.
The air outlet pipe should have at least the same cross section as
the safety valve outlet. If it is necessary for the air outlet circuit to
have more than two bends or if it is more than 2 m in length, an
air outlet pipe in the next largest nominal size should be selected.
It is not permissible for the air outlet circuit to have more than
three bends or to be more than 4 m in length. The cross section
of the outlet pipe located downstream from the collecting hopper
must be at least twice the size of the cross section of the valve in-
let. The safety valve must be adjusted so that the permissible op-
erating overpressure of 10 bar is not exceeded.
6.5 Check valve, test valve
A check valve (non-return valve) must be installed to prevent the
heated water from flowing back into the cold water pipe. Its func-
tion can be tested by closing the first isolating valve in the flow di-
rection and opening the test valve. Only the water contained in
the short piece of pipe should be discharged.
6.6 Isolating valves
As illustrated in Fig.6.1 on pag. 9, isolating valves are to be in-
stalled on the cylinder in both the cold and hot water connection
as well as in the heating water flow and return.
