WARNING  Carefully read and understand all instructions
and warnings in this manual, and those labeled on your Child
Restraint. Failure to do so can result in SERIOUS INJURY or
DEATH of your child.
SAFE USE REQUIREMENTS:
This Child Restraint is designed for use ONLY with children who weigh
40—120 lb (18—54 kg) AND whose height is 38—63 in. (97—160 cm).
Use ONLY the vehicle lap and shoulder belt system when restraining
the child in this booster seat. DO NOT use a lap belt only!

CERTIFICATIONS:
This Child Restraint System conforms to all applicable
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 213) and
Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS 213.2).
This child restraint is certified for use in passenger cars,
multi-purpose passenger vehicles, and trucks ONLY.
THIS RESTRAINT IS NOT CERTIFIED FOR USE IN AIRCRAFT.
Aircraft seats do not have shoulder belts which are required for use
with this booster seat.

AIR BAG. DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY MAY OCCUR.
If an air bag inates, it can hit the child or
child restraint with enough force to cause
serious injury or death to your child.
The back seat is the safest place for children 12 and
under. Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for
information on your child restraint installation.
WARNING!
According to accident statistics, children are safer when properly
restrained in the rear seating positions than in the front seating
positions.

instructions stored underneath the booster seat base for future use.
• Before installing this child restraint in a vehicle, be sure to also check
the vehicle owner’s manual for information on proper installation.
• DO NOT use child restraint in any configuration not shown in the
instructions.
• Use ONLY with children who weigh 40—120 lb (18—54 kg) AND
whose height is 38—63 in. (97—160 cm).
• Use ONLY the vehicle lap and shoulder belt system when
restraining the child in this booster seat.
• NEVER use with vehicle lap belt ONLY to restrain a child. This
could result in serious injury or death.
• ALWAYS make sure the vehicle seat belt can properly retract
before each use.
• NEVER leave your child unattended.
• NEVER install in rear-facing, side-facing or on the back of a
folded down vehicle seat.
• ALWAYS install this booster seat in the rear vehicle seat.
• DO NOT use this booster seat with any other backrest or cushions.
• ALWAYS secure the booster seat using the vehicle belt or ISOFIX
connectors even when it is unoccupied. It could injure other
occupants in a sudden stop or crash.
• DO NOT use any accessories, inserts or products not included
with this booster seat, unless approved by Diono. Items not
tested with this booster seat could injure your child.
• DO NOT modify your booster seat.
• NEVER provide this booster seat to another person without also
providing them with the instruction manual.
• Unsecured objects can become flying hazards and can cause
serious injury in an accident.

EXPIRATION
• DO NOT use the child restraint if any part is damaged or broken,
expired (over 8 years from date of purchase), missing instructions,
missing parts, or if the straps are cut, frayed, or damaged in any
way. Call 1-855-463-4666 to find out if the damaged part or
parts can be replaced.

SAFE PRACTICES
• DO NOT leave loose objects, such as books, bags, etc., in the
back of the vehicle. In the event of a sharp turn, sudden stop, or
crash, loose objects can be thrown around and possibly cause
serious injury to vehicle occupants.
• DO NOT use with hot liquids as this could burn a child.
• ALWAYS check all surfaces of restraint before securing your child.
In warm weather, child restraints can become very hot. Do not
allow children to play with vehicle seat belts.
• Some vehicle seat belt systems cannot be used with this booster
seat. Read vehicle owner’s manual and “Vehicle Seat Belt Sys-
tems” section of this manual.
IMPORTANT: Some vehicle seat belt systems cannot
be used with this booster seat.
1. ALWAYS install this booster seat in vehicle seats
with 3-point (Lap and Shoulder) belts.
2. ALWAYS secure this booster seat by attaching
the lower anchors in vehicle seats when
available when using the 3-point (Lap and
Shoulder) belts.
3. DO NOT install this booster in vehicle seats with
a Lap Belt Only.
4. DO NOT install this booster in vehicle seats with
Motorized (Automatic) Vehicle Lap and Shoulder
Belts.
5. DO NOT install this booster in vehicle seats with
Door Mounted Vehicle Belts.

 DO NOT USE THIS CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM IF IT HAS BEEN
IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
• Transport Canada designates that you MUST replace this child
restraint if it has been involved in a collision, even if you cannot
see visible damage. A damaged child restraint may not protect
your child in a future collision.
UNITED STATES
The U.S. National Highway Trac Safety Administration (NHTSA)
recommends that car seats be replaced following a MODERATE or
SEVERE collision in order to ensure a continued high level of collision
protection for child passengers.
Car seats do not automatically need to be replaced following a MINOR
collision. NHTSA defines a MINOR collision as ALL of the following:
• The vehicle was able to be driven away from the collision site; AND
• The vehicle door nearest the car seat was not damaged; AND
• No vehicle occupants were injured; AND
• There is no visible damage to the car seat; AND
• The airbags (if present) did not deploy.
NEVER use a car seat that has been involved in a MODERATE or
SEVERE collision.

NOTE: Even with ISOFIX connectors properly attached, child seat will still
have movement against the vehicle seat back and bottom.
4. With ISOFIX connected to vehicle lower
anchors, push the seat bottom towards the
vehicle seat back until seat back touches
vehicle seat. A gap is acceptable as long as the
head support is touching the vehicle seat back or
headrest.
IMPORTANT: Do not use ISOFIX if installation interferes with
vehicle seat belt. If not using ISOFIX installation, secure this booster
seat using vehicle seat belt even when not occupied. In a crash, an
unsecured restraint can cause injury to other vehicle occupants.
IMPORTANT: When using booster seat in center seating position, make
sure it is stable and does not rock from side to side.
DISENGAGING LOWER ANCHOR INSTALLATION
Press the ISOFIX release button on front of booster seat and pull away
from vehicle seat back.
Push ISOFIX release button while pushing ISOFIX connectors in
towards seat bottom to store.
WARNING! If your vehicle is equipped with lower anchors,
Diono always recommends installation utilizing the ISOFIX
connectors with this booster seat.
To improve safety and performance, this booster seat is equipped with
a lower anchorage system that allows secure attachment to a
vehicle’s lower anchor locations.
1. Extend ISOFIX connectors from booster seat by pressing ISOFIX
release button on front of seat.
2. Place the seat in the vehicle and align the
ISOFIX connectors to the vehicle’s lower
anchors.
3. Attach both ISOFIX connectors to the vehicle lower anchors.
The ISOFIX lock indicator will change from RED to GREEN when
the connectors “click” locking to the vehicle lower anchors.

5. Tighten the vehicle seat belt by pulling the
lap and shoulder belt portion in the
direction of the arrows.
6. Confirm seat belt buckle is in correct position –
it should align with the RED belt path guides
on headrest and side of seat.
IMPORTANT: The Vehicle Shoulder Belt MUST route completely through
the RED shoulder belt guide and not fall o the child’s shoulder.
IMPORTANT: When using the diagonal portion of the seat belt, it should
lay over the shoulder and should NOT be touching the child’s neck.
PROPER BUCKLE POSITION
IMPORTANT: After booster seat is installed and seat belt is fastened
around child, it is important to confirm correct seat belt buckle
position to ensure secure installation.
1. Properly position child in installed seat. Child
should be sitting upright and seated all the way
back in the booster seat.
2. Adjust head support to proper height: The RED shoulder belt
guide should be slightly above the child’s shoulders (at least 1 cm).
Squeeze the head support adjustment lever on the back of the
booster seat while adjusting it’s height up or down to fit the child.
3. Feed the shoulder portion of the vehicle seat
belt through the RED upper belt guide by
inserting the belt behind the metal clip.
4. Fasten vehicle seat belt across child. The lap
portion of the vehicle seat belt should rest
within both lower belt guides. Make sure the
seat belt is not twisted and lays flat across
child’s lap, torso and shoulder.

1. Fold the booster seat.
WARNING: DO NOT use carry straps unless
booster seat is folded.
2. Attach carry strap hooks to top and bottom
loops on back of seat.
3. Move slider on carry straps to adjust fit for
comfort.
4. Place straps over shoulders with booster seat
on back of body.
When not in use, store carry straps in
compartment on back of seat.
WARNING: DO NOT use carry straps if suering from back,
shoulder or neck problems.
CUP HOLDER
1. Align cup grooves with cup holder connector
on seat bottom.
2. Push down on cup holder to secure in place.
To remove, pull up on cup holder.
CAUTION: DO NOT use with hot liquids as this could burn a child.
IMPORTANT: Do not step on or put excess weight on the cup holder
which could cause it to break.

REMOVING THE COVER
1. Remove headrest cover by pulling fabric away from channels
along the outside of the headrest.
2. Remove main cover by pulling fabric away from channels, starting
along the outer side walls.
3. Remove cover from seat bottom by detaching velcro and elastic
loops from seat shell along outer edges and bottom of booster
seat.
INSTALLING THE COVER
1. Pull seat cover over booster seat bottom. Velcro cover to seat
shell. Tuck edges into channels along outside edge, cup holder
connectors and bottom of seat.
2. Pull the seat cover over side walls and tuck edges and plastic tabs
into channels along outer side walls.
3. Pull headrest cover over headrest and inserting tabs into channels
near the upper belt path guides on the bottom of the headrest.
Tuck edges of fabric into channels along outer headrest.
NOTE: Ensure all plastic tabs and edges are securely installed
before use.

This warranty gives purchaser specific legal rights, and purchaser may have
other rights, which vary from state to state. Neither Diono, nor the retailer
selling this product, authorizes any person to create for it any other warranty,
obligation, or liability in connection with this product. This warranty
information can also be found in your Diono product’s instruction manual.
AUTHORIZED RETAILERS Please visit the nearest authorized Diono retailer or
authorized online retailer to purchase Diono products. A list of Diono
authorized retailers can be found on our website. Not all products are available
at all retailers. Diono products purchased from unauthorized retailers, online
auction sites, or as second-hand items, are not covered under warranty. While
the warranty may not be applicable for products purchased from such sources,
replacement parts can be purchased.
UNITED STATES – WARRANTY
LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY This product is warranted against physical
defects in materials or workmanship as a result of normal use for one year
from the date of original retail purchase. Proof of purchase is required. The
exclusive remedy for this warranty is that Diono will upon return of the product
to Diono and determination of any such defect, at its sole option replace,
repair or provide replacement components for this product. Diono reserves
the right to discontinue or change fabrics, parts, models or products, or to
make substitutions. To make a claim under this warranty, contact Diono

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS This warranty does not include damages which
arise from negligence, misuse or use of the product not in accordance with
the product instruction. The use of non-Diono covers, inserts, toys,
accessories, or tightening devices is not approved by Diono. Their use could
cause a restraint product to fail Federal Safety Standards or perform worse in a
crash. Their use automatically voids the Diono warranty.
DIONO MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND OR
NATURE, EXCEPT THOSE STATED IN THIS POLICY. DIONO DISCLAIMS ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT
LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON INFRINGEMENT.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN
NO EVENT SHALL DIONO OR ITS THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
WHATSOEVER, WHETHER BASED ON TORT, CONTRACT OR OTHER LEGAL
THEORY, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT,
EVEN IF DIONO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
DAMAGES. BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR

materials or workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. Proof
of purchase is required. The exclusive remedy for this Warranty is that Diono will,
at its sole option, provide repair or replacement components for this product or
refund the original purchase price of the product. Diono reserves the right to
discontinue or change fabrics, parts, models or products, or to make
substitutions. To make a claim under this Warranty, contact Diono Consumer

Your Car Seat” on the top right of the page or PLEASE COMPLETE AND MAIL
THE OWNER REGISTRATION CARD WITHIN (30) DAYS OF PURCHASE. DIONO

IN NO EVENT WILL DIONO BE OBLIGATED TO PAY DAMAGES TO ORIGINAL
RETAIL PURCHASER FOR ANY AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE PRICE THAT

nous avons fait nos premiers pas et avons commencé nos activités
commerciales consacrées au voyage en famille.

AVERTISSEMENT — Lisez et comprenez attentivement toutes
les instructions et avertissements de ce manuel, ainsi que
ceux étiquetés sur votre retenue pour enfants. Le non-respect
de cette consigne peut se traduire par des BLESSURES
GRAVES ou le DÉCÈS de votre enfant.
EXIGENCES D’UNE UTILISATION SÉCURITAIRE:Cette retenue pour
enfants est conçue pour utilisation UNIQUEMENT avec des enfants
pesant entre 40–120 lb (18–54 kg) ET ceux dont la hauteur se situe
entre 38–63 po (97–160 cm).
Utilisez SEULEMENT la ceinture baudrier du véhicule pour retenir
l’enfant dans le siège d’appoint. NE PAS utiliser avec une ceinture
abdominale seulement!
Utilisez UNIQUEMENT avec des enfants dont les oreilles sont en bas
du haut du repose-tête de siège d’appoint complètement levé ou du
repose-tête de véhicule complètement levé.
CERTIFICATION:
Cet ensemble de retenue pour enfant est conforme à toutes
les exigences applicables de la Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standard(FMVSS 213) des États-Unis et des Normes
canadiennes sur la sécurité des véhicules motorisés(CMVSS 213.2) et
est certifié pour son utilisation UNIQUEMENT dans les voitures de
tourisme, les véhicules automobiles à usage multiple et les camions.
CETTE RETENUE POUR ENFANTS N’EST PAS CERTIFIÉE POUR
UTILISATION DANS DES AÉRONEFS. Les sièges d’aéronefs n’ont pas de
ceintures diagonales requises pour utilisation avec ce siège d’appoint.

Selon les statistiques sur les accidents, les enfants sont plus en sécurité
attachés dans les sièges arrière plutôt que dans les sièges avant.

GONFLABLE FRONTAL.
Si un coussin gonable se déploie, il pourrait frapper l’enfant
ou le système de retenue avec susamment de force pour
causer des blessures graves ou le décès de votre enfant.
Le siège arrière est le meilleur endroit pour les enfants de
12 ans et moins. Pour les véhicules dotés de coussins
gonables latéraux, veuillez vous référer au manuel de
votre véhicule pour les informations sur l’installation de
système de retenue pour enfant.

• N’utilisez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans toute configuration non
illustrée dans les instructions.
• Utilisez UNIQUEMENT avec des enfants pesant entre 40—120livres

l’arrière d’un siège de véhicule rabattu.
• TOUJOURS ce siège d’appoint sur le siège arrière du véhicule.
• N’utilisez PAS ce siège d’appoint avec tout autre dossier ou coussin.
• Fixez TOUJOURS le siège d’appoint à l’aide de la ceinture de
véhicule ou le système d’ancrage universel même si le siège n’est
pas occupé. Le siège peut blesser les autres occupants du
véhicule en cas d’arrêt soudain ou d’un accident.
• N’utilisez PAS tout accessoire, option ou produit non inclus avec
ce siège d’appoint, à moins qu’approuvé par Diono. Les articles
non testés avec ce siège d’appoint peuvent blesser votre enfant.
• Ne modifiez PAS votre siège d’appoint.
• N’orez JAMAIS ce siège d’appoint à une autre personne sans
également lui fournir le manuel d’instructions.

SYSTÈMES DE CEINTURE DE SIÈGE DE VÉHICULE
EXPIRATION
• NE PAS utiliser le dispositif de retenue pour enfant si une pièce
est endommagée ou brisée, s’il est expiré (plus de 8 ans se sont
écoulés depuis la date d’achat), des instructions sont man-
quantes, des pièces sont manquantes, ou si les sangles sont
coupées, elochées ou endommagées. Appelez pour savoir si
la partie endommagée ou les pièces peuvent être remplacées.

PRATIQUES SÉCURITAIRES
• NE PAS laisser des objets tels que des livres, des sacs, etc., à
l’arrière du véhicule. En cas d’un virage abrupt, d’un arrêt
brusque ou d’un accident, des objets pourraient être projetés et
causer des blessures graves aux occupants du véhicule.
• N’utilisez PAS le siège avec des liquides chauds, car cela pourrait
brûler l’enfant.
• TOUJOURS vérifier toutes les surfaces de retenue avant de
sécuriser votre enfant. Par temps chaud, les mécanismes de
verrouillage peuvent devenir très chauds. Ne laissez pas les
enfants jouer avec les ceintures de sécurité du véhicule.
• Certains systèmes de ceinture de siège de véhicule ne peuvent
pas être utilisés avec ce siège d’appoint. Lisez le manuel du
propriétaire du véhicule et la section « Systèmes de ceinture de
siège de véhicule » de ce manuel.
IMPORTANT: Certains systèmes de ceinture de
siège de véhicule ne peuvent pas être utilisés avec
ce siège d’appoint.
1. Installez TOUJOURS ce siège d’appoint dans
des sièges de véhicule avec des ceintures en 3
points (abdominale et diagonale).
2. Fixez TOUJOURS ce siège d’appoint grâce aux
fixations inférieures des sièges de véhicule
lorsque disponibles lors de l’utilisation de
ceintures en 3 points (abdominale et diagonale).
3. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans des
sièges de véhicule avec uniquement une
ceinture abdominale.
4. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans des
sièges de véhicule avec des ceintures
abdominales et diagonales de véhicule
motorisées (automatiques).
5. N’installez PAS ce siège d’appoint dans des
sièges de véhicule avec des ceintures de
véhicule montées à la porte.

POUR ENFANT APRÈS UNE COLLISION
 NE PAS UTILISER CE SYSTÈME DE RETENUE POUR ENFANT S’IL
A ÉTÉ IMPLIQUÉ DANS UN ACCIDENT DE VOITURE.
• Transports Canada stipule qu’il FAUT remplacer un siège d’auto
pour enfant s’il a été impliqué dans une collision, même s’il ne
présente pas de signes visibles de dommage. Un siège endommagé
pourrait ne pas protéger adéquatement l’enfant dans une autre
collision. Un système de retenue d’enfant endommagé pourrait
ne pas protéger votre enfant dans un futur accident.
ÉTATS-UNIS – UTILISATION D’UN SIÈGE D’AUTO
POUR ENFANT APRÈS UNE COLLISION
Aux États-Unis, la National Highway Trac Safety Administration
(NHTSA) recommande de remplacer tout siège d’auto pour enfant à la
suite d’une collision modérée ou grave afin de maintenir un niveau
élevé de protection pour l’enfant en cas de collision.
Il n’est pas obligatoire de remplacer un siège d’auto pour enfant à la
suite d’une collision LÉGÈRE. La NHTSA définit une collision LÉGÈRE
comme une collision répondant à TOUS les critères suivants :
• On a pu conduire le véhicule pour quitter la scène de l’accident; ET
• La portière du véhicule la plus proche du siège d’auto pour enfant
n’a pas été endommagée; ET
• Aucun des occupants du véhicule n’a été blessé; ET
• Le siège d’auto pour enfant ne présente aucun dommage visible; ET
• Les coussins gonflables (si le véhicule en est doté) ne se sont pas
déployés.
NE JAMAIS UTILISER un siège d’auto pour enfant qui a été impliqué
dans une collision modérée ou grave.
