B. Storeallfuelandoilincontainersspecificallydesignedandapprovedforthispurposeand
keepawayfromheatandopenflame,andoutofthereachofchildren.

E. Ifyouspillgasoline,donotattempttostarttheengine.Movethemachineawayfromthe
areaofthespillandavoidcreatinganysourceofignitionuntilthegasvaporshave
dissipated.Wipeupanyspilledfueltopreventafirehazardandproperlydisposeofthe
waste.
F. Allowtheenginetocoolcompletelybeforestoringinanyenclosure.Neverstorea
machinethathasgasinthetank,orafuelcontainer,nearanopenflameorsparksuchas
awaterheater,spaceheater,clothesdryerorfurnace.
G. Neveradjustorrepairwiththeenginerunning.Shutdowntheengine,disconnectthe
sparkplugwire,keepingitawayfromthesparkplugtopreventaccidentalstarting,wait5
minutesbeforeadjustingormakingrepairs.
H. Nevertamperwiththeengine’sgovernorsetting.Thegovernorcontrolsthemaximum
safeoperationspeedandprotectstheengine.Over‐speedingtheengineisdangerousand
willcausedamagetotheengineandtotheothermovingpartsofthemachine.Ifrequired,
seeyourauthorizeddealerforenginegovernoradjustments.
I. Keepcombustiblesubstancesawayfromtheenginewhenitishot.
J. Nevercoverthemachinewhilethemufflerisstillhot.
K. Donotoperatetheenginewiththeaircleanerorthecarburetorairintakecoverremoved.
Removalofsuchpartscouldcreateafirehazard.Donotuseflammablesolutionstoclean
theairfilter.
L. Themufflerandenginebecomeveryhotandcancauseasevereburn;donottouch.
