
3. Installation
Important: This product is best suited for use with cold
mains-fed systems.
1. Connect the timer inlet (2) directly to the tap,
using the 3/4" reducer (3) if appropriate.
2. Connect a suitable hose to the timer outlet (4),
using the hose connector (5) is appropriate.
3. Set the timer dial as appropriate;
see 4. Setting the Timer.
4. When ready, switch on the water supply
at the tap.
4. Setting the Timer
Important: If the timer is set to operate, the water will
begin to ow immediately when the tap is opened. Ensure
that the connected system is ready for operation before
opening the tap.
To operate the timer, rotate the dial (1) to the appropriate
position. The timer has three operating modes:
• O:
Water does not ow into the connected hose.
– Rotate the dial and direct the arrow to the
0position.
Important: The timer may continue to
operate for a few seconds while the mechanism
winds down.
• Timer:
Water ows into the hose for the designated
time period.
– Rotate the dial clockwise and direct the arrow
to the number of minutes that water ow
is required.
Important: If the tap is open, water will begin to
ow immediately.
– Water will continue to ow until the
designated time has elapsed and the timer
reaches the 0position.
• Manual:
Water ows into the hose until the timer or tap is
manually switched o.
– Rotate the dial anticlockwise and direct the
arrow to the Manual position.
Important: The dial will click as is it moved into
and out of Manual mode. If the tap is open,
water will begin to ow immediately.
– To stop the water ow, rotate the dial clockwise
to the 0 position.
5. Notes on Use
• When used with higher pressure water sources,
use a pressure reducer between the source and
the timer.
• Draper Tools recommends removing the timer
from the water supply during colder months.
Important: DO NOT expose the timer to freezing
temperatures or frost.
• When using a gravity-fed watering system, ensure
that a tap lter is used with the timer.
Important: DO NOT use bore water or
unltered water.
• DO NOT use any pump to draw or supply water
from or into the timer.
• DO NOT use with any water supply that
is unstable.
• DO NOT use this product for any liquid other
than water.
6. Maintenance and Disposal
• Regularly ush the timer with clean water to prevent
build-up of debris and sediment.
• Regularly remove and clean the inlet reducer (3).
• Periodically inspect all gaskets and O-rings for signs of
damage and leakage.
• DO NOT attempt to disassemble this product.
• Store the product in a cool and clean environment, out
of direct sunlight and away from potential frost.
• Drain the product of any residual liquid and allow it to
dry before storing it.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• At the end of its working life, dispose of the product
responsibly and in line with local regulations; recycle
where possible.
