Makroalgen Reaktor
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Kauf des Makro Resorts MR 800 entschieden haben.
Der Makroalgen Reaktor arbeitet als selbständiges und unabhängiges Algenrefugium, um dem Meerwasser-
aquarium unerwünschte Nährstoffe wie z.B. Nitrate und Phosphate zu entziehen. Das komplett autark arbeitende
System, entzieht dabei über einen kontrollierten Wuchs von Makroalgen dauerhaft Nährstoffe aus dem Aqua-
riumwasser. Für den Nährstoffexport wird die schnellwachsende und sehr einfach zu kultivierende Drahtalge
Chaetomorpha linum eingesetzt. Durch regelmäßiges Ernten dieser Alge werden die in Algenwuchs verwerteten
Nährstoffe dem Aquarienkreislauf entfernt. Die im Inneren des Makro Resorts eingesetzte LED Lampe, besitzt ein
spezielles Farbspektrum, welches einen optimalen Makroalgenwuchs zuverlässig unterstützt. Bei kleinen
Filtersystemen bietet der Makroalgen Reaktor eine sehr gut funktionierende Alternative zu Algenrefugien,
welche sich oft nur mit viel Platz und großem Aufwand realisieren lassen. Der Makroalgen Reaktor lässt sich
sowohl extern, als auch in einem Filtersystem / Filtersumpf betreiben.

Sicherheitshinweise Für LED Lampen:
· Schauen Sie niemals direkt in die LED-Lampe!
Eine unsachgemäße Nutzung dieser Lampe kann
eine Gefahr für die Augen darstellen.
· Diese LED-Lampe ist zur Raumbeleuchtung im Haushalt nicht geeignet.
· Photobiologische Sicherheit nach DIN EN 62471: Risikogruppe 1 (geringes Risiko)
· LED-Lampe nicht abdecken.
· Nur im Innenbereich verwenden.
· Trennen Sie die LED-Lampe bei Wartungs- oder
Pflegearbeiten grundsätzlich immer vom Netz.
· Der Netzstecker der LED-Lampe muss nach der Montage jederzeit zugänglich sein
· Bei Beschädigungen des Anschlusskabels oder des Anschlusssteckers,
darf die LED Lampe nicht mehr betrieben werden.
· Ist das Anschlusskabel oder Anschlussstecker der LED-Lampe beschädigt,
so muss dieses vom Hersteller oder dessen Kundendienstersetzt werden.
· Greifen Sie niemals nach der LED-Lampe, wenn diese ins Wasser gefallen sind. Ziehen Sie in einem solchen
Fall immer sofort den Netzstecker. Vollständig trocknen lassen.
· Das Netzteil darf nicht auf oder in einer Aquarienabdeckung angebracht werden.
· Aquarium und Gerät sollten so neben einer Wandsteckdose angeordnet sein, dass kein Wasser auf Steckdose,
Netzteil oder Stecker spritzen kann. Zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit empfiehlt es sich, mit dem Netzkabel eine
Tropfschlaufe zu bilden, die verhindert, dass evtl. am Kabel entlang laufendes Wasser in die Steckdose gelangt
(siehe Abbildung).

Aufbau und Platzierung:
Schritt 1:
Entnehmen Sie das Makro Resort samt Zubehör vorsichtig aus der
Umverpackung und überprüfen Sie ob alle Teile vollständig enthalten
sind oder eine Beschädigung eines Teils vorliegt. Sollten Teile fehlen oder
beschädigt sein, wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an Ihren Fachhändler.

Schritt 2:
Montieren Sie den Makro Resort MR 800 wie folgt: Lösen Sie die Schrauben (H) des Gehäusedeckels (G) und
portionieren Sie die Makroalge (Drahtalge Chaetomorpha linum) auf der Kultivierungsplattform (K). Bei Bedarf
lassen sich diese einfach z.B. mit Kabelbindern fixieren. Anschließend verschrauben Sie den Gehäusedeckel (G) auf
dem Gehäuse (I.) Achten Sie dabei auf den richtigen Sitz des Dichtringes (L). Danach wird die LED Lampe (A) mit
der LED Verschraubung (E) am Gehäuse (I) montiert. Platzieren Sie den Makro Resort wie dargestellt, entweder im
oder neben dem Filtersystem / Filtersumpf.
Schritt 3:
Stellen Sie die Schlauchverbindungen zum Makro Resort MR 800 her. Am Schlauchanschluss Zugang (C) wird
eine Förderpumpe mit einer Leistung zwischen 800 und 1.000 l/h angeschlossen. An dem Schlauchanschluss
Rückfluss (B) wird der Schlauch für den Rückfluss in das Filtersystem / Filtersumpf angeschlossen. Überprüfen Sie
anschließend alle Anschlüsse auf Dichtigkeit. Sobald die Förderpumpe angeschlossen ist und das Makro Resort
befüllt hat, kann die LED Lampe (A) mit dem Netzteil (J) verbunden werden. Über das Sichtfenster (F) im Gehäuse-
deckel (G) erkennt man, dass die LED Lampe leuchtet.

Reinigung und Wartung:
Achtung: Lesen Sie bitte vor jeder Reinigung des Makro Resorts diesen Absatz vollständig durch!
Bei Wartungs- und Reinigungsarbeiten unbedingt alle Geräte im und am Aquarium vom Netz trennen!
Erst danach darf der Makro Resort aus dem Wasser genommen werden. Um eine dauerhafte und fehlerfreie
Funktion des Makro Resorts MR800 zu gewährleisten muss dieser regelmäßig gereinigt werden.
∙der Wuchs der Drahtalgen sollte auf der Kultivierungsplattform kontrolliert werden
∙übermäßiger Wuchs der Drahtalge muss regelmäßig entfernt werden
∙durch organischen Dreck kann mit der Zeit die LED Lampe (A) verschmutzen und
die benötigte Lichtausbeute für deinen gesunden Algenwuchs wird zu schwach
∙die LED Lampe (A) lässt sich einfach mit einer weichen Bürste reinigen
∙weitere Bauteile des Makro Resorts können unter fließendem Wasser zusätzlich gereinigt werden

Assembly and placement:
Step 1: Carefully remove the Makro Resort and accessories
from the packaging and verify all parts are complete and check parts
for damage. If parts are missing your damaged, please contact
your speciality retailer as soon as possible.

Step 2: Loosen the screws (H) on the housing lid (G) and portion out the macroalga (green alga
Chaetomorpha linum) on the cultivation platform (K). If necessary, these can be easily fixed, e.g. with
cable ties. Then screw the housing lid (G) onto the housing (I). Make sure that the gasket (L) is seated
correctly. Then fit the LED light (A) to the housing (I) with the LED screw connection (E). Place the
Makro Resort as shown, either in or next to the filter system / filter sump.
Step 3: Connect the hoses to the Makro Resort MR 800. Connect a feed pump with a capacity of between
800 and 1,000 l/h to the inlet hose connection (C). Connect the hose for the return flow into the filter system /
filter sump to the return flow hose connection (B). Check all connections for leaks. Once the feed pump is
connected and the Makro Resort has been filled, the LED light (A) can be connected to the power supply unit (J).
The viewing window (F) in the housing lid (G) shows that the LED light is lit.

Macroalgae Reactor
Thank you for choosing the Makro Resort MR 800.
The macroalgae reactor is an independent algae refuge that removes unwanted nutrients such as nitrates and
phosphates from the marine aquarium. The completely autonomous system continuously removes nutrients from
the aquarium water through the controlled growth of macroalgae. The fast-growing and very easy-to-cultivate
green alga Chaetomorpha linum is used for nutrient removal. Regular harvesting of this algae removes the
nutrients used up in algae growth from the aquarium's circulation. The LED lamp used inside the Makro Resort
has a special colour spectrum that provides reliable support for optimal macroalgae growth. When using small
filter systems, the macroalgae reactor offers a very effective alternative to algae refuges, which often require a lot
of space and effort. The macroalgae reactor can be operated both externally and in a filter system / filter sump.
You will find everything you need to know about initial installation, assembly, adjustment, care and maintenance
of the Ocean Sump in these instructions. These instructions are part of the product. They contain important
information about safety, set-up and operation! Keep these instructions for future reference!
Safety instructions For LED lights:
· Never look directly into the LED lights! Improper use of
this light may be dangerous to the eyes.
· This LED light is not suitable as residential lighting.
· Photobiological safety according to DIN EN 62471: Risk group 1 (low risk).
· Do not cover the LED light.
· Indoor use only.
· Always disconnect the LED light from the mains
before carrying out maintenance or cleaning.
· The mains plug for the LED light must always be accessible with the light installed.
· Never operate the LED light if the connecting cable or the plug is damaged.
· If the connecting cable or plug of the LED light is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
its customer service.
· Never reach for the LED light if it has fallen into water. In this case always immediately unplug the mains
plug. Allow to dry completely.
· Never install the power supply on or in the cover frame.
· The aquarium and appliance should be positioned next to a wall socket to prevent water from splashing
onto the socket, power supply or plug. For your safety it’s advisable to make a drip loop with the mains
cord to prevent water running along the cord from entering the outlet (see illustration).

Cleaning and maintenance:
Caution: Please read this entire section before each cleaning of the Makro Resort!
Always disconnect all devices in and on the aquarium from the mains for maintenance and repairs!
Only then may the Makro Resort be removed from the water. To ensure the long-term and
fault-free functioning of the Makro Resort MR800, it must be cleaned regularly.
∙ the growth of the algae on the cultivation platform should be controlled
∙ overgrowth of the algae must be removed regularly
∙ over time, organic dirt can contaminate the LED light (A) and cause
the light output to drop too low for healthy algae growth
∙ the LED light (A) can be easily cleaned with a soft brush
∙ other components of the Makro Resort can be cleaned under running water
Never use cleaning agents!

Il reattore di macroalghe funziona come refugium autonomo e indipendente per estrarre dall’acquario ad acqua
salata i nutrienti indesiderati, quali ad esempio nitrati e fosfati. Dal funzionamento totalmente autarchico, il
sistema estrae costantemente i nutrienti dall’acqua dell’acquario per mezzo di una crescita controllata di
macroalghe. A crescita rapida e molto facile da coltivare, l’alga filiforme Chaetomorpha linum è utilizzata per
l’estrazione dei nutrienti. La raccolta regolare di queste alghe elimina dal ciclo dell’acquario i nutrienti utilizzati
per la crescita delle alghe. La lampada LED utilizzata all’interno del Makro Resort possiede uno spettro cromatico
speciale che supporta in modo affidabile una crescita ottimale di macroalghe. Nei sistemi filtranti di piccole
dimensioni, il reattore di macroalghe offre un’alternativa ottima e funzionante ai refugium di alghe, i quali

Informazioni di sicurezza per lampade LED:
· Non guardare mai direttamente verso la lampada LED! Un utilizzo inappropriato
di questa lampada può rappresentare un pericolo per gli occhi.
· Questa lampada LED non è adatta per l'illuminazione degli ambienti domestici.
· Sicurezza fotobiologica ai sensi della normativa IEC/EN 62471:

· Non coprire le lampade LED.
· Utilizzare solo all'interno.
· Scollegare praticamente sempre la lampada LED dalla rete

· L'acquario e l'apparecchio devono essere collocati vicino a una presa a muro, in modo tale che l'acqua non
possa schizzare sulla presa o sulla spina. Per la vostra sicurezza si consiglia di formare con il cavo di rete un
gocciolatoio che impedisca che l'acqua corrente vada a finire nella presa attraverso il cavo (si veda figura).
