Air Cleaners

2PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
SPECIFICATIONS
The Dust Free Series 250 and 350 systems are designed for particulate, chemical vapor, and
odor filtration in the home, office, clinics or other areas where pollutants are isolated. They are
ideal for persons adversely affected by indoor airborne pollutants. An optional Electronic Odor
Neutralizer (EON) is available with both series, which destroys odor causing chemical vapors and
biologicals.
The Series 250 and 350 are simple to operate and easy to maintain. Simply plug in the power
cord and turn it on. Filtration media is simple to replace, no tools required. To keep the cabinet
looking new, simply wipe with gentle cleansers and a damp cloth. Congratulations, enjoy your
new Dust Free room air cleaner!

BEFORE OPERATING
OPERATION
1. Remove the plastic wrapping from the optional carbon mesh filter or the other granulated
adsorbents in disposable frames.
2. Place the unit in the desired location.
3. Plug unit into a power outlet supplying proper voltage.
Once all wrappings have been removed the unit is ready for operation by turning the control knob
to maximum. Series 250 and 350 units have been designed to provide you with years of service.
For best performance and filter life, it is recommended that units be run continuously. Series
250 and 350 units employ air pattern management, circulating clean air throughout the room and
forcing dirty air into its four sides for cleaning. The units should be placed at least 8" from the
wall and purified air is blown toward the center of the ceiling. Air flow louvers can be adjusted to
direct air flow. The fan speed should be set to obtain the air flow desired, using the speed control
switch.
UNIT OPERATION 3
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not place hands or objects in air vent, serious damage to limbs
and the unit itself will occur.
Do not operate unit in a wet environment. Electric shock could occur,
causing injury or death.
Do not operate unit for long periods of time without all filters in place.

YELLOW BOROSIL REPLACEMENT
ELECTRO-FIBER REPLACEMENT
OPTIONAL EON MODULE
OPTIONAL BULK ADSORBENT TRAYS
Turn off air cleaner. Grasp media retaining grid with fingertips near the bottom. Lift upwards and
pull outwards simultaneously allowing grid to be released from unit. Filters are now accessible
for replacement.
Odor-Stat (black, carbon impregnated media) should be replaced every 2-6 months depending
on the environment.
The polyester prefilter is washable and reusable. It should be washed in mild detergent or
cleaner (409, Fantastic, etc.) every 2-6 months depending on the environment. Allow to dry
before returning to unit.
Borosil may give off a slight odor for the first two days of operation. Borosil should be replaced
every 2-6 months depending on the environment.
Electro-Fiber should be replaced every 2-6 months depending on the environment.
The optional electronic odor neutralizer should be serviced every 2 years. Call your Dust Free

OPERATING THE O AMOUNT CONTROL
To turn the Series 350 on rotate the fan control clockwise to low, medium or high setting,
depending on the amount of air flow desired. The Series 250 has a continuous variable speed
control. When the unit is on the red indicator light, located above the fan control will light up. To
turn the unit off, rotate fan control counterclockwise to off position. The red indicator light will go
off.
The trickle switch is intended to be used when a steady, slow flow of ozone is desired. This
should be used in place of the standard timed, regulated ozone cycle. To operate, simply push
the trickle switch to the on position.
When a timed ozone cycle is desired rotate the minutes control and line up the white line on the
knob to the desired time allotment. Push the timer switch to the on position. The unit will now
begin generating ozone for the amount of time indicated.
To adjust the amount of ozone being generated during the timed cycle, rotate the O amount
control to the desired position, hi, low or off. No ozone will be generated when this control is set
to the off position, unless the alternate trickle method is being employed. If you can detect the
odor of O (ozone) the concentration level is too high. Reduce the O output or turn off the
generator.
