3PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
The Dust Free Series 2050 in an unpainted, galvanized cabinet and the Dust Free Series 2100,
in a painted cabinet, are designed to capture all types of particles in the air that pass through the
filter in the cabinet. The collection of these airborne particles, coupled with the clean air
discharged from the air cleaner back into the space, effectively dilutes the contamination level in
the space.
These devices, when properly installed, will reduce the level of airborne particles by up to 85%
and will prevent excessive accumulation of particulate pollution when particulate pollution is
continuously generated. These devices are not intended to “eliminate” airborne particle pollution
but rather to control airborne particle pollution.
For maximum effectiveness, the equipment should be installed to produce a specific air circulation
pattern, They are to be suspended from the ceiling at a height of 15 feet or less above the floor.
The pre-filters should be serviced each 30 to 60 days and the primary filters replaced when a
noticeable decline in air volume is observed. you can improve the quality of the air in you facility
from 60% to 85% when the units are properly installed and correct air cleaning volume is present.
Both models can be ducted if the special duct plenum is attached to the air cleaner. The Series
2050 is a standard duty model with many options available. The Series 2100 is a heavy duty
model with many useful items as standard equipment.

MOUNTING 6
!
!
Be certain your ceiling is capable of supporting the weight
of the unit before attempting to mount it. Suspend your
Dust Free unit using standard hanging practices and
materials that comply with local codes and requirements.
Hang unit 15 feet or less above the floor.
To hang unit from the ceiling screw 1/4x20 eye
bolts into the threaded inserts located at the top
corners of the unit. Use cable or chain to
suspend the unit. The Series 2100 is mounted
in the same manner as the Series 2050 shown.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
UNIT OPERATION
FILTER MAINTENANCE
1. Place the unit in the desired location.
2. Plug the power cord into an appropriate electrical outlet. The outlet should be on a 15AMP
dedicated circuit.
3. Flip the switch mounted on the front of the unit to the ON position.
4. Adjust the louvers to direct the air in a 40° spread left and right and 15° toward the floor.
5. Enjoy the results you will receive from using your new Dust Free unit.
The standard prefilter in your Dust Free unit may be either a permanent electrostatic air filter or a
disposable air filter. The permanent electrostatic air filter works on the principle of static electricity.
As air moves through the patented configuration of polypropylene filtration media static electric
charges are created that filter dust, lint, pollen, mold spores, animal dander and other large
particulates (greater than 10 microns) from the air. The permanent electrostatic prefilter is
washable and reusable so it can be cleaned as often as needed to maintain proper air flow and
help protect and prolong the life of the main filter. The disposable prefilter is a synthetic fiber non-
woven media that loads from the inside out. When a noticeable build up of dirt occurs, remove the
synthetic pad from the frame and replace it.
®
®
Filters must be replaced with filters of the same size, type, and
efficiency rating to maintain the performance of the unit. Incorrect filters can lead to premature motor failure and will
void the manufacturer’s warranty.

V-BAG or POLY CUBE REPLACEMENT
CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER(Electrostatic Pre-filter Only)
REPLACING THE OPTIONAL ADSORBENT FILTER(Series 2100 Only)
(The V-Bag or Poly Cube filter CANNOT be cleaned.)
1. Grasp pull tab located on the end of the electrostatic pre-filter and gently pull the filter from the
unit. If your unit is equipped with a disposable pre-filter it will not have a pull tab.
2. Clean or replace the prefilter as needed.
3. Grasp the frame of the V-Bag or Poly Cube filter with each hand and gently pull the filter from
unit. Handle it carefully to minimize releasing dust into the air.
4. Place the filter in a plastic bag, seal the top, and dispose of it properly.
5. Install a new V-Bag or Poly Cube filter. Make sure the filter material is not caught under the
metal frame.
6. Replace the pre-filter.
1. Grasp the pull tab located on the end of the electrostatic pre-filter and gently pull filter from unit.
2. If there is a buildup of lint on the face of the filter, remove as much as possible with a vacuum
cleaner.
3. A mild cleaner such as Fantastic, 409 or Ivory liquid may be sprayed on the filter.
4. Lay the filter with the inlet side down. A 1" to 2" object should be placed under one end of the
frame to allow water to drain. Flush the detergent and dirt from the filter using a hose with a
high pressure nozzle. Warm water can be used, as long as water temperature does not exceed
180°F.
5. Allow the filter to dry to the extent that it can be carried without dripping water.
6. Replace the filter, magnetic side facing the V-Bag filter. Turn the unit on.
When a noticeable odor emits from the air cleaner, the adsorbent media is saturated. Unlatch the
access panel, remove the adsorbent panel and replace it with a new panel. The new panel is
wrapped to protect the media. Remove the wrapping prior to installation.
