Fireback Service
Upper and
lower fireback
refractories
removed from
the stove

Fountain and Shoe

Remove Andirons
Lift the left and right andirons out of the inner bottom

Remove Grate
Lift up grate and remove. Notice the retainer on the
rear top of the grate which holds the Shoe in place.

Right End Refractory
With a Phillips
screwdriver,
remove the
brick support
bracket and
the right end
Refractory.
Then
insulation
panel can be
removed.

Remove Shoe
Grip the front
of the shoe
and carefully
pull it forward
out of the
opening of
the lower
fireback
refractory

Remove Lower Load Door Refractory
Lift out the lower
load door
refractory which
sits on the inner
bottom against
the left side

Remove Rear Sheet Metal Shroud
Remove the rear
sheet metal shroud.
It is held in place with
two Phillips head
bolts located in the
center of the shroud
below the flue collar.Rear of stove with shroud
removed

Remove Fireback Retainer
With 7/16”
socket wrench,
remove the
two interior
bolts with
washers &
nuts on
exterior back
of stove then
lift out fireback
retainer
