• The mains connector must be always disconnected from the wall socket after use and before cleaning.
Never disconnect the appliance from the socket by pulling the mains cable; always grip the plug!
• Before unplugging the machine from the wall socket or from an extension cable, switch off the device by
releasing the operating push button.
• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.
• Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around
the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because
the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised
service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.
• Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If you need a longer cable between the appliance
and the wall socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an electrical dealer. When using an
extension cord, be careful not to create a hazard that you or someone else could trip over.
• Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.
• Never touch the appliance with wet hands. Make sure your hands are dry when you plug the mains
connector into the socket and when you unplug it. Always keep the casing, cable, mains plug and wall socket
completely dry. Avoid using the appliance near water or any other liquids. Do not touch the appliance if it
gets wet or is exposed to moisture; unplug it from the mains socket immediately and take it to an authorised
service engineer for checking or repair.
• Only use the appliance on stable flat surfaces. Always be sure that the appliance cannot slip from the surface
on which it is located; and cannot fall into any container of liquid, e.g. a sink. If the appliance does fall into
liquid during operation (or it is exposed to moisture), do not touch the appliance, but switch it off by pulling
out the plug from the mains socket and take it to an authorised service centre for repair.
• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the temperature is too high or too low or where the
appliance is subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or vaporous conditions. The appliance
can be used within the temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the range of +5°C to +40°C.
• Do not use the processing bowl for food storage. Do not put it into a microwave oven or a refrigerator. The
bowl should only contain food whilst you are using the food chopper.
• No part of the appliance or its accessories should be cleaned in a dishwasher.
• Warning! The chopping knife of this device is very sharp. It rotates at a high speed during operation and
can cause severe injuries if not used in accordance with these instructions. Never run the appliance without
having the attachment mounted or without putting any food into the processing bowl.
