COFFEE MAKER
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and save for future use!
Warning: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this
manual, do not include all conditions and situations possible. The user
must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors
that cannot be integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors
shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating this appliance. We
are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use,
voltage uctuation or the modication or adjustment of any part of
the appliance.
To protect against a risk of re or electric shock, basic precautions shall
be taken while using electrical appliances, including the following:
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage
provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly
grounded. The power outlet must be installed in accordance with
the applicable electrical standard in force in the country where the
product is used.
2. Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, if it
does not work properly, it has fallen on the ground and has been
damaged or dropped into the water. All repairs, including cord
replacements, must be carried out at a professional service
centre! Do not remove the protective covers of the appliance.
3. Do not attempt to repair, adjust or modify the appliance yourself.
There are no parts inside serviceable by the user.
4. Protect the device from direct contact with water and other liquids.
5. Do not use the appliance outdoors or in humid environments. Do
not touch the power cord or the appliance with wet hands.
6. Store the appliance indoors and in dry place.
7. We recommend that you do not leave the appliance with plugged
in power cable unattended. Before maintenance, handling or when
the appliance is not in use, switch it o using the on / o switch and
unplug the power cord. Do not remove the power cord from the

outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the power cord from the outlet
by grasping the plug.
8. This appliance may not be plugged in an outlet controlled by a
timer or controlled remotely.
9. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord
over sharp edges.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACING THE APPLIANCE:
1. The appliance must not be used in close proximity to water
(bathrooms, showers, swimming pools, etc.) where it may fall into
the water or water would splash on the product.
2. Always use the appliance on a at, stable surface to prevent it from
tipping over and spilling hot liquids. Do not use the appliance in
sinks, on drip trays or other uneven surfaces.
3. Do not place the appliance on a hot surface (e.g. cookers, hobs
or ovens) or use it near a heat source (e.g. hobs, radiators or gas
appliances).

Leave enough space around the appliance for proper air circulation.
5. Do not place any other objects on the appliance, do not allow
foreign bodies to enter the holes and do not use it near curtains,
etc.
BURN HAZARD:
1. Some parts of the appliance (especially the hot plate) are hot during
operation; do not touch them with bare hands.The hot plate surface
contains residual heat even after switching o. Be careful, the steam
that may be generated when the appliance is in operation is very
hot. There is a risk of scalding.
2. Do not open the lid while the appliance is in operation.
3. Before further handling or maintenance, switch o the appliance,
disconnect it from electrical power and allow it to cool down.
4. Use only the handle when handling the hot carafe.
CORRECT USE OF THE APPLIANCE:
1. Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions in this
manual. Do not use it for purposes other than those for which they

are intended - brewing drip coee. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damage caused by the improper use of this appliance.
2. This appliance is intended for domestic use and other similar areas
like:
- Kitchenettes in shops, oces and other workplaces
- As appliances used in agriculture
- appliances used by guests in hotels, motels and other residential
places;
- As appliances used in Bed&Breakfast establishments
3. The appliance is not designed for commercial use.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Never turn on the appliance without a carafe properly inserted in
the body of the appliance and with an empty water tank.
2. The water level in the tank must not exceed the "MAX" line.
3. Never leave an empty carafe on the heating plate, it could break.
4. Do not place the hot carafe on cold surfaces, it could break.
5. Never use the carafe if it is cracked or if the handle is loose. Handle
it carefully, the glass is fragile.
6. Useoriginalaccessoriesonly.Theuseofaccessoriesandattachments
not recommended by the manufacturer may endanger persons or
property and void the warranty.
DANGER TO CHILDREN AND DISABLED PERSONS:
1. The appliance should not be left unattended when in operation.
2. Pay closer attention when using the appliance near children. Never
let the appliance be handled by children alone, protect them from
the danger of electric shock. Place the appliance so that the children
will not have access to it. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
the table or worktop on which the appliance stands.
3. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older if
they are supervised or have been instructed to use the product
in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning
and maintenance by the user must not be done by children unless
they are older than 8 years old and under supervision. Keep the

appliance and its power supply out of reach of children younger
than 8 years.
4. The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge,
if they are supervised or if they were instructed how to use the
appliance safely and understand potential dangers. Children shall
not play with the appliance.
5. Danger of suocation: Children may not play with the packaging
material. Do not let children play with the plastic bags.
Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water!
CAUTION
The surfaces marked in this way become hot during use.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Before rst use
To make sure that you have an excellent taste of coee from the rst cup, we recommend to rinse the coee
maker with hot water before rst use. Proceed as follows:
1. Pour the water into the tank up to the MAX line.
2. Insert the permanent lter (do not add any coee) into the lter holder and close the lid.
3. Place the coee maker’s carafe on the heating plate and start the coee brewing cycle with the ON / OFF
button (22).
Making drip coee
1. Lif the lid (9) using the lever (8) in the front part of the coee maker
2. Fill the water tank (11) with the required amount of water. Do not ll above the MAX level. Use cold water.
We recommend using ltered water as it reduces the amount of lime scale and prolongs the life of the
coee maker. Never use untreated or sparkling water. Check if the lter holder (2) is placed properly.
3. Insert either the permanent lter included in the package (1) or a commercially available paper lter into
the lter holder (2).
4. Add coee using the teaspoon provided (approximately 1 heaped teaspoon (7 g) per cup).
5. Close the lid (9) and place the carafe (7) on the plate (14).
6. Plug in the coee maker. The time information "12:00" ashes on the LCD display (16). The button lights
on the panel remain o.
7. If you want a stronger coee, press the STRENGH button (17) before switching on the drip button with the
ON / OFF button (22). The red indicator light next to this button comes on. Continue, see point 8.
8. Switch on the coee machine by pressing the ON/OFF button (22). The red power light and display light
up, and the time information stays on.You can stop the coee brewing process at any time by pressing the
ON/OFF button (22). The power light and the display (16) go out. The maker resumes the coee brewing
when you press the ON / OFF button (22) once. Note: You can remove the carafe at any time and serve the
prepared coee. The coee maker automatically stops the drip for 30 seconds.
9. When the carafe is empty, switch o the appliance and unplug it.

Note: The amount of brewed coee will always be slightly less than the amount of water poured into the
coee maker, because part of the water is absorbed by the ground coee or evaporates. Add a little extra
water at the beginning to have exactly the required number of cups at the end.
• If you have not used the appliance for a long time, let one full tank of water (without coee) ow through
it to clean it.
• The appliance will brew coee until the water tank is empty, then switch to hot coee maintenance
mode and switch o automatically after 40 minutes. To make the coee taste as good as possible, serve it
immediately after dripping.
Automatic coee brewing
If you do not want the coee maker to start immediately, follow steps 1-7 of the chapter "Preparing drip coee"
and then follow the steps below to set the automatic start function:
1. First set the current time: Before starting the drip, use the HOUR (19) and MINUTE (18) buttons to set the
hours and minutes. NOTE: The drip coee maker only supports the 12-hour time format 1-12 AM (morning
hours) or 1-12 PM (afternoon hours).
2. Press the PROGRAM (20) and (ON/OFF (22)) buttons simultaneously. The power light ashes green, the
time ashes on the display.
3. Use the HOUR (19) and MINUTE (18) buttons to set the time you want to start making coee.
4. Lastly, press the DELAY BREW button (21). The power light is green continuously. The display shows the
current time.
5. When the set time is reached, the ON/OFF light (22) lights up red and the appliance starts operating. When
the coee is done, the maker switches to keeping the coee warm and switches o automatically after 40
minutes. To make the coee taste as good as possible, serve it immediately after dripping.
Note: You can cancel the automatic start by pressing the DELAY BREW button (21) again to switch o the
appliance. If you want to change the start time, repeat steps 2-4. If you want to start making coee immediately,
press the ON/OFF button (22).
Note: The buttons PROGRAM, DELAY BREW, HOUR a MINUTE are inactive during brewing.
Tips for great tasting coee
A clean coee maker is essential for making great tasting coee. Clean the coee maker regularly according to
the instructions in the "Maintenance and cleaning" section.
• Always use fresh cold water.
• Finely ground coee ensures better ltration, intense aroma and rich taste. If the coee is not ground well
enough, add more coee per one cup to ensure the same intense avor.
• Store coee in a dry and cool place. After opening the coee pack, keep it tightly closed in the refrigerator
to keep it fresh.
• You will achieve the optimal result if you buy whole coee beans and grind them just before preparation
of coee.
• Do not use the same coee a second time, as this will lose its aroma.
• Reheating coee is not recommended. Coee tastes best right after it is brewed.
• Tiny oil stains on the surface of ltered coee are caused by oil extraction from coee beans. The oil can
also be caused by heavy roasting of coee.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before cleaning, switch o the drip coee maker with the ON/OFF button (22), and always unplug the
power cord and let the appliance cool down thoroughly!
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and then wipe dry. Clean the water tank and drip tray
regularly.
• Do not use alcohol, solvents or abrasives for cleaning, they could damage the surface nish. Never
immerse the base of the appliance in water!

• Remove the lter holder and remove any coee grounds. Then you can wash it with detergent, but in any
case it is necessary to at least rinse it with water. Do not wash the carafe in the dishwasher.
• Wash all removable parts with water and dry thoroughly.
Descaling
In order for the coee machine to serve you well, you should regularly remove lime scale every three months
or as needed (depending on water quality and frequency of use). Proceed as follows:
1. Fill the carafe with one part fermented vinegar and three parts cold water.
2. Pour the mixture of water and vinegar into the water tank. Do not put coee in the coee machine and
brew the vinegar solution as described in the chapter "Before using for the rst time".
3. Repeat as needed until a yellowish liquid stops owing out of the coee machine. Then let the coee
machine brew clean water until the smell of vinegar disappears.

ANWENDUNGSHINWEISE
Vor der Erstverwendung
Damit schon die erste Tasse Kaee einen ausgezeichneten Geschmack hat, empfehlen wir die Kaeemaschine
vor der Erstverwendung mit heißem Wasser auszuspülen. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Wassertank mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung befüllen.
2. Setzen Sie den Permanent-Filter in den Filterhalter ein (keinen Kaee einfüllen) und schließen Sie den
Deckel.
3. Stellen Sie die Karae auf die Heizäche der Kaeemaschine und starten Sie mit dem Schalter ON/OFF (22)
den Kaeezubereitungs-Zyklus.
Zubereitung von geltertem Kaee
1. Heben Sie den Deckel (9) mit Hilfe des Hebels (8) an der Vorderseite der Kaeemaschine an.
2. Füllen Sie den Wassertank (11) mit der erforderlichen Wassermenge. Überschreiten Sie nicht die MAX-
Markierung. Verwenden Sie kaltes Wasser. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung von geltertem Wasser, da es
Kalkablagerungen reduziert und die Lebensdauer der Kaeemaschine verlängert. Verwenden Sie niemals
Brauch- oder Sprudelwasser. Prüfen Sie, ob der Filterhalter (2) richtig positioniert ist.
3. Setzen Sie entweder den mitgelieferten Permanent-Filter (1) oder einen handelsüblichen Papierlter in
den Filterhalter (2) ein.
4. Dosieren Sie den Kaee mit Hilfe des mitgeliferten Löels (etwa 1 gehäufter Teelöel (7 g) pro Tasse).
5. Schließen Sie den Deckel (9) und stellen Sie die Karae (7) auf das Kochfeld (14).
6. Schließen Sie die Kaeemaschine an das Stromnetz an. Auf dem LCD-Display (16) blinkt die Uhrzeit "12:00".
Die Tastenbeleuchtung auf dem Bedienfeld bleibt ausgeschaltet.
7. Wenn Sie einen stärkeren Kaee wünschen, drücken Sie die Taste STRENGH (17), bevor Sie die Maschine
mit der Taste ON/OFF (22) einschalten. Die rote Anzeige der Taste leuchtet auf. Fahren Sie mit Punkt 8 fort.
8. Schalten Sie die Kaeemaschine durch Drücken der Taste ON/OFF (22) ein. Die rote Betriebsanzeige und
das Display leuchten auf, die Zeitangabe leuchtet permanent. Sie können das Kaeekochen jederzeit
durch Drücken der Taste ON/OFF (22) abbrechen. Die Betriebsanzeige und das Display (16) erlöschen.
Durch Drücken der Taste ON/OFF (22) startet die Maschine die Kaeezubereitung erneut. Bemerkung: Sie
können die Karae jederzeit herausnehmen und fertigen Kaee servieren. Die Kaeemaschine stoppt den
Filtervorgang automatisch für 30 Sekunden.
9. Wenn die Karae leer ist, schalten Sie die Maschine aus und ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
Bemerkung: Die Menge des gekochten Kaees wird immer etwas geringer sein als die in die Maschine
eingefüllte Wassermenge, da ein Teil des Wassers vom Kaeemehl absorbiert wird oder verdunstet. Fügen
Sie am Anfang etwas mehr Wasser hinzu, damit Sie am Ende genau die gewünschte Anzahl an Tassen
haben.

• Wenn Sie die Maschine längere Zeit nicht benutzt haben, lassen Sie einen vollenWassertank (ohne Kaee)
durchlaufen, um sie zu reinigen.
• Das Gerät kocht Kaee, bis der Wassertank leer ist, schaltet dann in den Modus zur Aufrechterhaltung des
heißen Kaees und schaltet sich nach 40 Minuten automatisch ab. Um den besten Geschmack des Kaees
zu erzielen, servieren Sie ihn sofort nach dem Abtropfen.
Automatische Zubereitung von Kaee
Wenn Sie nicht möchten, dass die Kaeemaschine sofort startet, befolgen Sie die Schritte 1–7 im Kapitel
„Zubereitung von Filterkaee“ und führen Sie dann die folgenden Schritte aus, um die automatische
Startfunktion einzustellen:
1. Stellen Sie zunächst die aktuelle Zeit ein: Stellen Sie mit Hilfe der Tasten HOUR (19) die Stunden und
MINUTE (18) die Minuten ein, bevor Sie die Maschine starten. BEMERKUNG: Die Maschine unterstützt nur

Display wird die aktuelle Zeit angezeigt.
5. Wenn die eingestellte Zeit erreicht ist, leuchtet die AnzeigeON/OFF (22) rot und die Maschine beginnt zu
arbeiten. Wenn der Kaee fertiggekocht ist, geht die Maschine in den Warmhaltemodus über und schaltet
sich nach 40 Minuten automatisch aus. Um den besten Geschmack des Kaees zu erzielen, servieren Sie
ihn sofort nach dem Abtropfen.
Bemerkung: Sie können den automatischen Start abbrechen, indem Sie die Taste DELAY BREW (21) erneut
drücken, um die Maschine auszuschalten. Wenn Sie die Startzeit ändern möchten, wiederholen Sie die Schritte
2-4. Um die Kaeezubereitung sofort zu starten, drücken Sie die Taste ON/OFF (22).

Tipps für einen tollen Kaeegeschmack
Eine saubere Kaeemaschine ist die Grundlage für die Zubereitung von gut schmeckendem Kaee. Reinigen
Sie die Kaeemaschine regelmäßig gemäß den Anweisungen im Abschnitt„Wartung und Reinigung“.
• Verwenden Sie immer frisches, kaltes Wasser.
• Fein gemahlener Kaee sorgt für eine bessere Filtration, ein intensives Aroma und einen reichen
Geschmack. Wenn der Kaee nicht gut genug gemahlen ist, fügen Sie pro Tasse mehr Kaee hinzu, um
den gleichen intensiven Geschmack zu erzielen.
• Lagern Sie den Kaee an einen kühlen und trockenen Ort. Bewahren Sie den Kaee nach dem Önen gut
verschlossen im Kühlschrank auf, damit er frisch bleibt.
• Ein optimales Ergebnis erzielen Sie, wenn Sie ganze Kaeebohnen kaufen und diese erst kurz vor der
Zubereitung mahlen.
• Verwenden Sie nicht denselben Kaee zweimal, da er sonst sein Aroma verliert.
• Das Erhitzen von Kaee wird nicht empfohlen. Der Kaee schmeckt am besten unmittelbar nach der
Zubereitung.
• Kleine Ölecken auf der Oberäche sind auf die Extraktion von Öl aus den Kaeebohnen zurückzuführen.
Öl kann auch durch starke Kaeeröstung verursacht werden.
WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG
• Schalten Sie die Maschine vor der Reinigung mit der Taste ON/OFF (22) aus, ziehen Sie das Netzkabel
heraus und lassen Sie sie vollständig abkühlen!
• Wischen Sie äußereTeile des Gerätes mit einem befeuchtetenTuch ab und wischen Sie sie danach trocken.
Reinigen Sie regelmäßig Wassertank und Abtropfschüssel.

• Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung kein Alkohol, Lösungsmittel oder abrasive Reinigungsmittel, welche die
Oberäche des Geräts beschädigen könnten. Gerätebasis niemals ins Wasser tauchen!
• Nehmen Sie den Filterhalter heraus und entfernen Sie die Kaeeablagerungen. Sie können etwas
Reinigungsmittel benutzen, Sie sollten die Gerätebasis jedoch wenigstens mit Wasser abspülen. Waschen
Sie die Karae niemals in der Geschirrspülmaschine.
• Waschen Sie alle abnehmbaren Teile mit Wasser und trocknen Sie sie gründlich ab.
Wasserstein entfernen
Damit Ihre Kaeemaschine einwandfrei arbeitet, sollten Sie alle drei Monate oder nach Bedarf (in Abhängigkeit
von der Wasserqualität und der Benutzungsfrequenz) den Wasserstein entfernen. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Füllen Sie die Karae mit einem Teil Gärungsessig und drei Teilen kaltem Wasser.
2. Gießen Sie die Mischung aus Wasser und Essig in den Tank. Geben Sie keinen Kaee in die Maschine und
kochen Sie die Weinlösung wie im Kapitel„Vor der Erstverwendung“ beschrieben.
3. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang so oft, bis keine gelbliche Flüssigkeit herausießt. Lassen Sie dann in der
Kaeemaschine reines Wasser kochen, um den Essiggeruch zu entfernen.
PROBLEMBEHEBUNG
Bevor Sie sich an eine autorisierte Kundendienststelle wenden, überprüfen Sie folgende Tabelle. Falls die
Beschwerden andauern, versuchen Sie nicht das Gerät selbst zu reparieren und wenden Sie sich an eine
